9622  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Failed to Deliver ? on: November 29, 2016, 05:44:13 PM
I do not think it has failed to deliver in any way. The critics will always be critical of it. It has been rising, has been secure, has got worldwide followers, it is helping people. This article really does not understand Bitcoin power and how it actually has helped a lot. For me Bitcoin is a success.
9623  Other / Off-topic / Re: How many times have you've been scammed? on: November 29, 2016, 03:49:38 PM
What are your bad experiences in bitcoin? Not just scammed by other users it could also include HYIP, Cloud mining scams, investment scams, etc. I know it's a bad thing that happened, I think it's better to share them here so you could vent out on what you are feeling.
Feel free to post anything.

I was scammed by a guy who promised to give us satoshi's as a investment, this guy would pay us certain investment he paid us two to three times. Then I put a huge investment and then he just disappeared with everyone money. All investment schemes are a scam, do not fall for any, however convincing they look

9625  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Really The Future Of Money? on: November 29, 2016, 10:49:41 AM
Current events have shown us that it is indeed the way, like in India a school accepts it. The stations at swizz have adopted, there's a Bitcoin Boulevard in Paris, it's even been adopted by dubai. It is indeed the future only a matter of time now, before all finally bow down to its power
9626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europe wants to ban blockchain technology? on: November 29, 2016, 08:40:11 AM
This is really not a good news for blockchain and I hope this does not happen. But recently only swizz and Paris started accepted Bitcoin so why would they do it now. It's not a good move and will effect so many people who have investment in it. Or is it cause their currency is getting lowered a step to revive it.
9627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is dead, longlive Bitcoin on: November 28, 2016, 04:54:09 PM
Bitcoin and blockchain are two sides of a coin, it's incredibly difficult to imagine life without any of those. So makes no sense to keep one and dump one. It's important to keep both in focus rather than only one. So let's hope blockchain survives it, otherwise Bitcoins will be effected by it.

9629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 millions bitcoin in question on: November 28, 2016, 02:11:54 PM
Hello,

Hard fork will make possible to extend the number of bitcoin in circulation (more than 21 millions).

However, everyone told me that the majority of node runners will not allow this to happen.

My question is why they will not?

Indeed, this will create more revenu for them, as there will be more bitcoin to mine and not only revenu from transaction fees.

what do you think?

This is basic economics supply and demand. Less the supply high the price, more the supply less the price. I am a bit skeptical releasing so many so soon. This shall crash the price, so in a way I don't think it should happen so soon so much.

9631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India Bans Its Largest Fiat Currency Notes on: November 27, 2016, 05:39:49 PM
They are already buying Bitcoins at very high prices.

Seems like the spike has ended. The exchange rates in localbitcoins are down to INR 60,000 per coin (down from the peak of INR 66,000 two days ago). It still represents a premium of around 20%, but the trend is downwards.

That is good news for every body interested in buying bitcoins, some fools even said it would be touching 1,50,000 Rs and the global market has been keenly watching what it has to offer. Glad to see price out there are softening, so will the global prices also fall?
9632  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Economic Nobel prize for Satoshi Nakamoto on: November 27, 2016, 04:10:41 PM
That's all... Claim Economic Nobel prize for Satoshi Nakamoto
Its a great idea why not he deserves one. If war criminal can get it. I think the community needs to get behind him, but does any one who is he and where is he. I hope he gets it, will be a big thing for the Bitcoin community.
9633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Two things are certain: Bitcoin and Taxes on: November 27, 2016, 12:53:59 PM
I don't believe there are taxes any where in the world for Bitcoin as they are a decentralised currency, no country into the world control them so no tax in near future. So I don't see any need to panic for this. As and when it shall come surely some loophole shall be discovered.
9634  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2016, 10:54:39 AM
Mr trump is a businessman and he shall sooner or later make some inroads into Bitcoin. My hunch says that our president elect shall approve of Bitcoin to surprise all countries and schok all, so far he has done that and I feel he shall do the same this time round.
9635  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sweeet Giveaway! | 0.001 To 10 Winners (CLOSED) on: November 27, 2016, 09:43:36 AM

Just in case you or anyone else is having any doubts, I took this picture Link but hopefully your just genuinely surprised Smiley

Sweet you seriously need not have put up proof. I don't think anyone had any right to question you. You put up a deal and you honored it. I am really taken back that such a question was even asked, despite everyone getting thier payment. Again thanks but next time ignore such a question, whether he was really surprised or not is not even important what was important was the contest rules were honored, and all got payment +1 to you and your thread.

9638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This man sells his cattle for Bitcoin in Zimbabwe! on: November 26, 2016, 05:05:04 PM
This is really interesting article and it's thoughtful of sharing it with us. Considering Zimbabwe currency it's easy to understand why he did it and it's a good move. This is a example and it could inspire others way to go.
9639  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin "Elites": You stole the beneficiaries' gold on: November 26, 2016, 02:49:22 PM
What exactly is this post about? It's not making any sense to me. The title and the two posts of op is confusing what exactly are you trying to tell to us. Can you be more specific or edit and explain. Or its me who doesn't understand?
9640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince my dad that Bitcoin is a trustful currency ? on: November 26, 2016, 08:24:16 AM
Here is the story: My dad just found out that I am storing bitcoin and he try to prevent me from using this crypto. This is absolutely the worst situation I have ever had since I started used Bitcoin. I am living in the country which bad guys abuse Bitcoin for illegal activities. Therefore, most of the people here who do not have a proper knowledge about bitcoin believe bitcoin as a stupid, dummy coin or even MLM. My dad is one of them. Any solution to solve this problem ? It is quite hard though because I am still a teenager so it is extremely difficult to persuade him
Thanks in advance

Well you need to have a clear air talk with your dad, probably take him to his favorite place, or get him his favorite meal. Then peacefully explain him your side of view, then ask him all questions and tell him to say all on one go. So what will happen is at the end he won't have any question to object to. Also understand he is concerned for you, so be calm and you will be able to reach a settlement soon.
