if BTC withdrawals on mtgox start to work again, then the price will shoot up to (stamp + 200) again. Thats 100% sure.
i would not speculate on the fail of gox now and sell there.
If USD withdrawals have not been fixed for almost 8 months, what makes you think they will fix BTC withdrawals in less than a month? Mtgox claims that it's a software issue dealing with their version of the bitcoin software so it should be a simple as fixing their software. The question is whether or not they are lying. Judging by market activity there, someone might have some insider info that they are lying. Then again, deducing things via market movement tends to be a mistake. i'd say the market action shows no one have any info and everyone is panicked assuming the worst possible scenario...

Who runs that website? It is not Coinbase, so whoever runs it has access to your account. i think he's safe, he runs it

16,000 to 32,000 If only 5% of gold speculative value moves to the bitcoin this implies a price of 32,000 and thats not the only market the bitcoin is looking to disrupt if bitcoin really catches on and is used in international trade, we're taking millions pre coin.
suddenly FIAT becomes irrelevant. 1BTC = infinite FAIT. suddenly catcoin doesn't look so bad.

Gox price is now below Bitstamp. This is good. This "crash" is a shift in paradigm, GOX is DONE for good.
I hope Bitstamp user realize this and dont follow GOX price blindly. Gox users are basically trading toy moneys.
it would be really really hard to believe gox has completely exhausted all their cold storage coins and USD. i'm more scared of the possible 30-50K coins that are going to come flying out of gox if they fix their bug. Gox price will skyrocket again after (if) they fix their bug. I guess people just sell their BTC there at the moment because they can't get it out and it might be much easier to sue Gox for USD. <extra shiny tinfoil hat> Mark sodl all the mtgox coins, then fabricated this bug he going to buy them all back this weekend and then fix the "bug" </extra shiny tinfoil hat>

Bah, screw Coinbase. Sure enough, they'll limit your orders as a "High Risk Transaction." Quit peddling that crap.
once you get past all that verification stuff its probably good place to trade coins. they seem to be running a tight ship, this is a good thing....

I just bought a small amount of BTC so that I could trade it for LTC. I think I may buy a little more BTC, but I'm kind of waiting on the price - I'm torn as to whether to buy it right now or wait a little bit for it to come lower.
plan to buy now AND later and don't buy alts... if you want to hedge some BTC volitly risk go invest in bitcoin companys producing real value https://www.havelockinvestments.com/

apologies on posting out of turn, still catching up, but this second market thing started out like this exclusive club, only for "sophisticated" investors. And now some bat-shit crazy mofo like myself with a measly 25 bitcoin in my wallet can get in on the action? Whatever, I guess I'm glad to be part of the club? no as I read it you can sell or buy btc from them. you cant be part of their fund. i thought all you could do is sell them coins

I really don't understand what people are doing at Gox, you sell your bitcoins that you cant withdraw for FIAT that you cant withdraw as well... the whole Gox situation doesn't make any sense to me, there is something happening behind the scene for sure.
People are having large amounts of coins returned to their accounts - the coins that were stuck in withdrawal. They have ceased all btc withdrawals but it is still possible to withdraw fiat - what would you do? but you can't withdraw fiat at least thats what i keep hearing....
