9641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Kim Dotcom launching a Bitcoin project ? on: August 03, 2016, 10:36:03 AM
Retweet it guys Grin : https://twitter.com/KimDotcom/status/760298890213990400

All we know here is that It's going to be something about Megaupload and Bitcoin, at least this is all I know. Any ideas on how big this is going to be ?

Let's take a look at his previous tweets and try to guess ? :

9642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Bitfinex Hacked] So , learned the lesson ? on: August 03, 2016, 09:24:38 AM
Might be a stupid question:
Would it bring more safety if withdrawls on exchanges would be only possible to addresses the user gives his ok to in advance?
Maybe one when he registers, and others only after a certain time period? Let's say a week after the address is applyed at an exchange?

Well , I assume the hacker got his hands on the private key of the main wallet that Bitfinex use ? I don't think he hacked multiple user accounts otherwise that would be a good suggestion I guess but once again ... people will lose control over those addresses and that could be another problem.
9643  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: August 03, 2016, 09:16:15 AM
Price is currently at 530$ according to preev rates. so It would be nice if we get the old rates back .
9644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Bitfinex Hacked] So , learned the lesson ? on: August 03, 2016, 08:10:23 AM
I guess most people affected are those who earn bitcoin by trading the exchange. Their coins are mostly in the exchanges so that they can trade anytime without waiting for deposit time (1 to 6 confirmations depending on the exchange)- opportunity cost. Besides, they do not need to pay extra for the withdrawal.

Until now no one knows who is the hacker(s)... External or even "internal"?

I have no problem waiting several confirmations personally . If that means that I won't lose my coins. I'm not sure about you but I personally prefer to wait up to 1 hour instead of losing hundreds/thousand or million of dollars.

Prior to the recent breach, Bitfinex was claiming that they were using secure cold storage and multisig. It's not like users didn't get a warning with Bitfinex's outages, unprofessionalism and previous breaches recently but this false advertising was so over the top.

I don't get this one either , how could use Multi sig + cold storage and still get hacked for millions of dollars ? I will take my chances and say that this is an inside job.
9645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [Bitfinex Hacked] So , learned the lesson ? on: August 03, 2016, 07:24:59 AM
Once again , Bitfinex has been hacked and I just want to ask you people , have you learned the lesson yet ? I assume not otherwise you wouldn't keep your funds in an exchange (I'm not speaking with those who kept their bitcoin for short period of time , those accidents happens but I'm mostly speaking for those who had their bitcoins laying there for weeks/months)

I'm not trying to be rude or anything but for the last time , please ... please ! Just withdraw your funds from exchanges . I'm not sure what you got to lose here , this procedure will only secure your coins and make you safer.
9646  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Easiest way to buy bitcoin on: August 03, 2016, 06:33:03 AM
Hey guys, what's the easiest way to buy bitcoins?

Coinbase or circle takes too much to receive the coins. Is there another site that I can easily buy bitcoins, faster?

You didn't tell us the payment method you are willing to use.

Trading with someone from the forums (Currency exchange section) could be the easiest method as It shouldn't take more then few minutes and the payment methods are vast and fees are much lower then in exchanges.
9647  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] COINSBANK.COM launches Universal Crypto Solution at Money2020 Europe on: August 02, 2016, 07:22:45 PM
I installed the Android application for CoinsBank however I don't seem to get it working ?
I created the API key , I scanned the QR code as requested , I then typed my account password ... however It's now asking me for my master-password which I don't seem to understand where I'm supposed to get ?
9648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar Opened , your first impressions ? on: August 02, 2016, 07:10:25 PM
Are you the developer, producer, creator ?

I'm not , I'm just a simple bitcoiner like most of you on Bitcointalk.
9649  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] PokemonGO Tracker (After update) on: July 31, 2016, 05:49:56 PM
Why we should buy it, if there's free ones out there?

Nintiacs CEO warned users of Pokévision and other websites that they will get banned , same for those who use fake GPS. Beside , other websites aren't working and they are being taken down one after the other.

GLWS OP.
9650  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Explain this transaction please on: July 31, 2016, 04:57:49 PM
Received a payment earlier of around $1800.
Value of transaction is showing to be $1.

All other transactions seem normal. Just this one is odd. See screenshot: http://prnt.sc/bzv5iw
The status is 'transaction confirmed'.

P.S. Who else is hating the new blockchain platform? I preferred the legacy one but they kept forcing me to upgrade.

Blockchain.info is totally screwed, with or without the new wallet (I agree that new wallet made it worst though)  .
I personally would switch to BlockTrail instead.(If you are using it as a wallet or as a block explorer)
9651  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prize is dropping? on: July 31, 2016, 02:42:28 PM
It's probably the logical thing ... less demand.
There is nothing to be afraid of since miners didn't stop mining and HashRate increased since the halving block reward 1,549,464,390 GH/s ATM.
9652  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Pokémon GO Account - Level 22 - Dragonite 2000+ CP on: July 30, 2016, 05:43:21 PM
How much do you ask for the account? Is it google or ptc?

It's google account , as for the price as I said on the thread "Offer me" .

9654  Other / Archival / Re: What would you say to people who advice you to sell all your bitcoin? on: July 30, 2016, 05:17:35 PM
Ironically , those people are most of the time Altcoin users.

I personally wouldn't say much , I will simply disagree with them. Each one has his own opinions , you think that Bitcoin is going to die ,right? you gave me an advice , now it's up to me take the right decision and It will be my responsibility If I lose money.
Now it depends , If there are some good arguments (like real arguments) I may think about it otherwise I will just disagree as I stated above.
9655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles: Did You Guys Even Work Out That Block Size Thing? on: July 30, 2016, 11:07:23 AM
Hmmm I'm not sure if he is poking fun at us.Could be some misinterpretation.
He got asked a question and just answered it.Maybe he really is interested how this whole blocksize thing is going, who knows.
But imo it would be better for him to shut his mouth in terms of any bitcoin related topic. His case is still running and I know some people who definitely would like to kick his butt.As now being out of prison, hopefully just for a while, and saying anything about bitcoin related will make the people hate him even more.

It's definitely not the first option as a lot of people ask him questions or accuse him of scamming and he don't answer them. just trying to get some attention If you ask me .
9656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles: Did You Guys Even Work Out That Block Size Thing? on: July 30, 2016, 08:43:19 AM
Could it be that he is not allowed to get involved in any bitcoin businesses again and therefore is not interested anymore? He probably has some strict rules that he has to abide from in order to get released and stay out of jail.

I think it would've been smarter not to have responded at all though, but maybe he wants the attention.

I'm not even sure what he is still doing in Japan ? they won't allow him to go out ?
9657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles: Did You Guys Even Work Out That Block Size Thing? on: July 30, 2016, 07:52:57 AM

Fresh out of jail on bail for embezzlement, disgraced Mt. Gox CEO Mark Karpeles poked fun at the Bitcoin community’s for their lack of resolution in the block size limit issue.

Karpeles, in a tweet sent shortly after his release from jail, expressed his detachment from and disdain for the current state of Bitcoin, including a jab at the persisting one-megabyte block size limit debate:

Right . You are posting because ?

good luck brooo Cheesy

Love those random activity increasers Tongue But you have some nice ones Caught and lvled up. Not completely sure if your suppose to lvl them as you go or not. Still learning myself. But you should get a decent price for this account. GL with the sale!
Basically like most of the games out there ,you level up by gaining XP (again XP by catching pokémons , hatching eggs , fighting in the gym etc..)
The higher level you are , the more rare pokémons you are going to find and the higher CP they are . and thanks !
9659  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Using "Annonymous" Bitcoin debit card is legal ? on: July 29, 2016, 08:23:23 AM
I am also worried about my cryptopay bitcoin debit cards which does not have my real name but just a random one and since they didn't required verification at the begninning I'm afraid using it on ATMs, what if the card stucks there and they ask for ID or anything else which will not be the same as on the card? In your case OmegaStarScream I wouldn't let him/they use it.

The good thing about bitcoin is that you can transfer your fast so If it get stuck or anything , I'm pretty sure you can go to CoinsBank,Cryptopay or WirexApp account or any other bitcoin debit card account and withdraw the funds.

There is no anonymous bitcoin cards at all, they ask for your date when you purchase them.
I do not think there is a problem with the card as no name on in because most of the prepaid cards don't have a name and they work with no problem

I know they should work without problem but I just want to know if I won't have any legal issues while using them at local shops or something ?
you will never get any legal issues if you can show them where you get card from. In most case, nobody will ask you what card you using unless your card have problem with transaction. Some shop they will refused all prepaid card. if you get declined (still have enough fund) then you should not try again if you do not want they ask about your cards.
(you also should sign in back of your card in case someone want to check who is owner of that card or you lost the card )

That's the thing , the guy who I'm going to give the card don't know anything about Bitcoin basically so I'm not sure how he is going to prove anything If he don't know what is bitcoin in the first place.
