The computers we have running the NiceHash miner all seem to be profit switching on at least a semi regular basis. I know this is an annoying question, but have you tried reinstalling the miner completely (instead of just updating it)?
yes
the 'semi-regular basis' is the annoying bit
when profitability drops i stop mining, then restart, and it always decides on a better coin/algo
9662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash Miner - easy-to-use best-profit multi-device cryptocurrency miner on: May 04, 2017, 04:02:27 PM
https://github.com/nicehash/NiceHashMiner/issues/779
please mend this. it's kinda the point. algo is not profit-switching like it did in the good old days. many thanx in advance

I am surprised to see synereo so high up on the list. I think I saw something on reddit about SW failing today, but other than that, I have never heard of this coin. I am not really sure why it is so high on this list.

There are also probably a lot of false positives for "game" -- another coin I have never heard of.

I think it is interesting (and somewhat unsurprising) that etherum/classic, along with several privacy oriented altcoins being heavily mentioned.

did a simple search for 'amp' on the forum; it turned up in Hardware, mining, marketplace, off topic... It's another word like 'time' with other uses.
the same might apply to 'etc' and 'game' as you say

It's not perfect, but I only wanted a rough idea.

Great!
9665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miner cartel, Bankster cartel, or an altcoin? Your choice? on: March 25, 2017, 07:44:39 PM
If you didn't misread and misrepresent MP's works, you might realise there are plenty more options than these.

Thanks for the slander. How about enumerating instead of some nebulous, unsubstantiated claim that requires me to wade through endless 1000s of pages of self-aggrandizing redundant prose.

I would very much like to understand. But I shouldn't subjected to his cultural indoctrination just to find out. Be more transparent please. Open source is not about private clubs and obfuscation.

I'll be grateful if you point out my errors. That is what open source is about.

I don't have time to read him all day every day. I have work to do. Doesn't he realize that other people have work to do? Would he really want a world where autonomous productive energies where useless because only he has worthwhile truths. Could y'all be a bit less cryptic.

No, it's true. No, I'm not going to do your work for you. The logs are public, and Mr.P is publicly available.

How to kill million-dollar industry in one commit (c)LukeJR
Never gonna happen. He can create just another altcoin.
Also, it is old stuff in his own repo "luke-jr committed on 16 Jan 2016", he planned it on beginning 2016 Apr 14
Yet another FUD to play on bitcoin value?

This is decidedly not about luke-jr, or 'Core' (as some have suggested) or Jihan Wu.

Others were discussing change of POW at the same time as that github commit:

and they still are:
