9661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Shapeshift.io on ethereum ?! on: May 15, 2017, 01:09:00 AM
I think they're building a decentralized exchange that will run in a browser... hopefully where you can list your own coins and tokens without having to pay "listing" and "maintenance fees" to exchanges.

Bitsquare is a bitcoin decentralized exchange but there is not enough traders using or showing interest in the platform. If that is what they are working on then it will be another disappointing outcome once again.

Another decentralized exchange is set up with no users.
9662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum beat Bitcoin to an ETF? on: May 15, 2017, 01:02:08 AM
well lets see.
- ethereum is centralized.
- it had an ICO which is not something that SEC can approve of
- the price is highly volatile (one of the reasons they denied bitcoin ETF)
- it is not regulated. (the main reason they denied bitcoin ETF)
- it is manipulated and again SEC will not approve of this.
- ethereum was never meant to be traded, it was the platform which then had the tokens called ETH which was traded and gained value.
- it is not even as old yet!

so yeah, if SEC approves ETH ETF then they must be some more stuff behind the scenes that we can see right now.
Yeah but that may end up being true a lot of big players have shown interest in Eth and without the history of silkroad and ransomware making the news today it may have more of a chance.

Yes but what does Ethereum offer besides a potential for a more scandalous outcome if the SEC decides to charge the ICO in the platform as illegal investments? Also which big players are you talking about that have shown interest in ETH and what kind of interest did they show? Speculative interest?

@pereira4. They are all the same. If everyone of them can avoid the detection of steroid use then all of them would use it. The Brazilians are known to be the ones who use a lot of steroids. It explains why Junior Dos Santos was easily knocked out by Stipe.

Have to be thinking Jones for the win, the guy is a beast, a thoroughbred. I will be betting on him to win by KO.

A KO versus Daniel? Good luck with that. Daniel is also as much as strong as Jon Jones but more disciplined.

@EaLity. I know that is not Freddie Roach. I was joking.

Good points. Also there are projects in Ethereum that issued their own coins that might be something the SEC would not approve of. Those coins are very speculative with no use in the real world.

Will you be restarting the campaign like Yoex or should we wait for the owner's reply?

Thank you for the payment.

No we have no information regarding it. I know you do so please tell it to us instead of pretending you do not know anything about it. It would be better to give us the details about it and let us start a discussion.
9669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Will Ethereum beat Bitcoin to an ETF? on: May 12, 2017, 12:40:11 AM
Do you agree with the article? It mentions that the noncurrency attributes of Ethereum will give it a better chance to have an ETH ETF approved. Was it really bitcoin's currency attributes that had its ETF application denied by the SEC or was it because of bitcoin's decentralized and uncensorable attributes?

Higher chance for an Ethereum ETF

As mentioned earlier, there is a higher chance for the Ethereum ETF to be approved by the SEC. The non-currency like attributes possessed by this cryptocurrency could tempt them to give their approval. On the other hand, Ethereum (also known as ETH) has specifically been designed with the objective of supporting decentralized applications, including “gas”. It is possible for users to make payments with the help of gas. Or else, they can make payments while they are initiating new smart contracts. Because of these native features, it has become somewhat difficult to establish ETH as just a currency.

The SEC has also made an official announcement about Ethereum. In their announcement, it was mentioned that Ethereum exchanges looks different than those for Bitcoin. They believe that ETH was not designed with the mindset of functioning entirely as a store value.

9670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: May 12, 2017, 12:31:32 AM
Dana White will give the negotiations one last push. If he can reach an agreement with Conor and Floyd Mayweather soon then more negotiations continue but it is not an assurance that it will surely happen.

He also implied that the negotiations are already interfering with his job at the UFC.

“I think (the chances of a deal with McGregor) are pretty good. Hopefully Monday I’m going to sit down and negotiate with Team Mayweather. I just can’t keep messing with this thing. I have to run my business and I have to focus on all the other things that are going on around here.”

9671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 214: Cormier vs Jones 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: May 12, 2017, 12:18:11 AM
@eaLiTy. Khabib should not be given a fight in the UFC after what he did in his last event. I speculate he was trying to pull away from the fight because he knew Tony Ferguson will beat him. Tony vs Nate Diaz would be a better fight and the winner having a title shot vs Conor.

Look at the picture. Why is Freddie Roach stopping DC?
9672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: May 12, 2017, 12:13:06 AM
The Spanish grand prix might be Mercedes' race. They still have the engine power advantage and if they start pushing hard, Lewis and Valtteri has shown that they are quick enough at qualifying and at the race. The Ferrari is also quick but not very dominating.
9673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: May 11, 2017, 01:20:30 AM
Maybe it was better if Anderson retired as the champion like what GSP did and then make a comeback fight for the money. I speculate the reason why Anderson is still fighting is more for the money now.
9674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC round 4 (in memories of iamnotback) on: May 10, 2017, 01:06:37 AM

Do people here really listen to him? From his posts it is looking like he wants to have acceptance or an affirmation that he is someone very good and intelligent in the cryptospace. He wants us to listen to him and believe everything he says as the truth. I want to see him argue with the real known people of bitcoin https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Developers
9675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can.eth overtake .com in the future? on: May 10, 2017, 01:00:45 AM
If website owners start using .eth do they have to pay the gas fee everytime someone tries to access their site or some daily fee to keep using the .eth domain? Then if ETH reaches the price of 500 dollars the fees will be so very high to keep paying for the gas fee.

9676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion on: May 10, 2017, 12:54:06 AM
It can be very likely that the Seven Kingdoms will return to their pre-Conquest state, they were united by Targaryens only 300 years ago while their history as sovereign kingdoms lasts for thousands years. Also the question itself might be tricky, maybe some of the kingdoms will secede or get destroyed by Wight Walkers, maybe someone will be ruling it from the shadow, like Varys or Littlefinger, or Tyrion would be de-facto ruler as Hand of the King. This can create a lot of frustration amongst people who made bets, because it would be unclear who won.

You might be correct. Let us see what will happen at the end of season 7 and try to determine what might happen in the following season, which will also be the last.

If the whole of Westoros is destroyed then the winning bet would be the Night King. Ruling from the shadow is possible but there will always be a ruler who faces the people. Whoever it is, that is the winning bet.
9677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: May 10, 2017, 12:47:15 AM
@lemipawa. His fight antics are what make the fans watch his fights. Your opinion of him is very flat and very depthless and it is very unfair to criticize him from his fight versus Chris Weidman.

It is maybe because you really do not watch the UFC that much and have not seen the growth and the journey of Anderson and what he has brought to the sport.
9678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Litecoin Mining Pool Disappears, Stoking Fears of Fraud on: May 09, 2017, 01:00:04 AM
Another cryptocoin related service that has turned into a scam. It is one of the oldest mining pools for litecoin, why did WeMineLTC do this now that everything is doing very good? Do they think mining rewards will go down with the activation of segwit?

A litecoin mining pool seemingly pulled the plug over the weekend, stoking accusations of theft and fraud.

WeMineLTC, according to posts on social media yesterday, closed down their website and shuttered their Twitter account without explanation.

9679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 212: Aldo vs Holloway Info and Prediction Thread on: May 09, 2017, 12:46:59 AM
@Kemarit. That speculation might now be over. There is news that Anderson Silva has pulled out of UFC 212. I also said that he has not left in good terms and it mentioned that the UFC organization has disrespected him and his legacy in the sport.

Will we see him go to Bellator?
9680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion on: May 09, 2017, 12:32:04 AM
This show has 2 more season left before the curtains go down and we have to say farewell after years and years of following it. We have seen the characters grow and he have seen some die and one come back from the dead. I will miss this show and I hope another one like it will be made.

Well we are in luck.

It’s official: HBO is working on Game of Thrones spinoffs

Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss will be “attached” to the four projects, as will A Song of Ice and Fire author George R.R. Martin, although none of them will do any actual writing. Goldman and Wray will even work directly with Martin on their projects. That may be what Martin was referring to a couple months back, when he wrote that he was involved with “lots of stuff with HBO that I cannot talk about yet.”
