9661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bancor has been hacked. 24,984 ETH (~$12.5M) on: July 09, 2018, 11:23:13 PM
These hacks, keep happening, security is definitely one of the biggest concerns surrounding crypto, hopefully clients will be made whole, organizations keep stepping up their security game and some of the tokens are recovered
That should be the first concern of everyone. Security must be tighten and these black hat hackers are seriously making robbery as their full time job.
This news is terrible and is going to let let the market breed in red in the upcoming days. This is an opportunity to short sell on an exchange that offer margin trading. A good trading idea but bad for the market.
Terrible as it is whenever there's an exchange that is being hacked.

And I'm now thinking if this is the cause of the sudden down of the market for awhile.
9662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF THIS IS NOT MONEY WHY BITCOIN IS VALID ? on: July 09, 2018, 10:53:51 PM
4. Durability: Bitcoin does not last long.
Bitcoin is here to stay so if you think that bitcoin won't last long then crypto's will also not last and kicking in the internet world.

Regardless of what your thread suppose to be, you created a very informative thread where you've gathered different coins/money that are part of the history.
Among those 7 properties this is the only thing i do disagree about where he do get about the idea that bitcoin wont last long?
As far as we know with this new tech, it cant be easily to neglect about into the things that it contributes when it comes to payment system. This would remain for long for sure if not forever but somehow it would last for many years and this would only be possible depending on the current adoption of the community where it do supports.
Its not a big deal for it not to be regulated or to become or considered as money but we do know it has a value, therefore it can be considered as one (thru digital).
I don't know where he got that idea that bitcoin's durability = it won't last long. I want to know he's points too on why he think that it won't go long. I'm not saying too that it's going to last forever but that "long" he might be thinking about few years from now which we do have the same thoughts of disagreeing. Bitcoin is the foundation of the crypto market and look on how big the money is flowing in and adoptions that are coming on it and even big companies are starting to get interested of building their own exchanges.
9663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Many people parcitipated in ETH platform airdrop on: July 09, 2018, 10:41:54 PM
ETH is the most popular platform than waves, NEM, neo and other platforms as well. It's the most dominant platform right now due to its smart contracts and it may be experiencing a congestion today but its developer is doing something to solve these type of problem and he's proposing sharding.
Ethereum is getting more popularity day by day and people are shifting towards it rather than other coins. Good going Ethereum!
Because it's #2 on most of the crypto market cap websites, investors are relying much to it and believing on what Ethereum can bring them in the future.

9665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum is clogged up this past few days? on: July 09, 2018, 09:52:28 PM
Why Ethereum is clogged up this past few days? It affects our bounty payments and quite a burden. What is the reason behind?
This is the reason.

FCoin Met With Continued Skepticism: Wash Trading Allegations and ETH Clog

If it's a burden for your bounty transfers and you're missing the ride as well, you don't have choice but to wait or explore.
9666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet? on: July 09, 2018, 09:44:24 PM
Can I lose my coins by choosing wrong wallet
Yes you can easily lose your coins by using a wrong wallet. I'll trust only those that are established for years and has built their reputation.

or they can never stole any coin because they just provide wallet service only?
They can as long as it's on their platform, your private keys are saved to them and they are the ones that are giving it.

It's on their database, I'll stay away with new services and wouldn't trust any of them.
9667  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What percent of ICO's are scam, on your opinion? on: July 09, 2018, 02:21:48 PM

9668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: News: Bitcoin won't be Global Currency on: July 09, 2018, 01:12:06 PM
I think that it will happen in a few decades from now
We don't have to wait for a decade before seeing bitcoin become a global currency. Actually, it's already one of the best alternative payment system that's being used globally, today.

perhaps not bitcoin, but any cyrptocurrency will be global.
If bitcoin won't be your global currency, what currency are you expecting to become? dollar?

As I've said, bitcoin is a global currency today and it has been massively used with various market places and trades online.
9669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Struggles to Get Back in the Game on: July 09, 2018, 12:55:15 PM
Litecoin has been one of my choice since then and they are pretty much underrated nowadays.

But it's consistency is making me want to stick with this coin although I'm thinking of disposing it and putting all of it to bitcoin.
9670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the market is currently green, whether you buy or sell crypto on: July 09, 2018, 11:15:49 AM
I see at this time the market is green again
I checked CMC but red is all over the market, yesterday it was a good to see market because almost every coin is on green.
what I ask is, do you buy a crypto or sell it at this time?
Right now? if you are in loss, whether the market is green or not are you going to sell? you can cut your losses but if it was me, I'm not going to sell unless everything was recovered plus profit.

I'll choose to buy during red days.
9671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cybermiles (CMT), Do you hold it ? on: July 09, 2018, 10:48:49 AM
Who cares about Cybermiles?
I don't.

I think it's really good and potential for long term
Out of thousand of altcoins out there, expect that everyone who holds their coin will have same words.

Most recently, LightIntheBox has accepted Cybermiles to pay for products on their website
Well congratulations to them if they will be partnered to LITB for real.
9672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Giving away XRP on: July 09, 2018, 10:33:24 AM
This will help boost the distribution of their  supply too which will do the trick later for the investors. Actually it is a good move for them, but we cant take away the thought of a pump and dump pattern, since most of the alts in the market has the same pattern. Infact, I have several coins that im waiting to be pumped by whales.
Yes, most of the coins are into that pattern of pumping and dumping their coin once it goes to the market that is inevitable.

but i have an interest in xrp .. and to date if in estimates at fiat rates .. i have earned almost $ 1,200 of xrp trading gain ,, some altcoin have high potential level and xrp is one of them
It's you and as a holder of course you'll love to have it and will sell when it goes up.

me either, if you truly believe on the fundamental purpose of cryptocurrency which is to disrupt centralized monetary and power, you will never embrace this kind of cryptocurrency. It's a shame to everyone who still embrace this coin who knows what is the real nature of Ripple. I just hope their investment will not turn into literal ripple (vanished).
They want a centralized crypto but crypto's are tend to be decentralized.
9673  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do ethereum compete with bitcoin? on: July 09, 2018, 09:34:23 AM
But why do you think it won't beat BTC? ETH gave so many people and companies the product they needed - the solution for easy and convenient crowdfunding. And now I see that even simple people in the community really pay each other for different services in ETH more often (check Services board for example, so many coders, designers, etc accept ETH as a payment).
This has been discussed many times before, it's not only ETH that is being asked if it will be able to beat bitcoin. I've said that ETH is also prone to these "companies/products" that are also scamming people so do you think people won't learn from those incidents of being scammed? They are paying developers to create tokens through ETH(ERC20) because it's easier to create and use it even you don't have a legit road map, plan and execution and the only thing on your mind is to make money, you can use it easily.
9674  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: July 09, 2018, 09:07:53 AM
As we all know, stock market had been there for a very long time now and on the other hand, cryptocurrency is a fast rising trend when it comes to the world of trade and commerce. Some may prefer to invest in crypto because of high returns but some will still go with stock market and play it safe.
In your opinion, what will be the best option to invest your money on?
When I was younger I wanted to start stock market but as uneducated with the market before I didn't have the chance to get in. But, I have read many success stories on how stock market made their life better and that's amazingly because of their skills and experience.

What I noticed is it takes a lot of years and bigger capital for one to start making his fortune with stock market. While in crypto's, the fluctuation is faster than the usual market.
9675  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin volume is still rising ? on: July 08, 2018, 11:48:56 PM
Do you think Bitcoin still on the rise in terms of market capitalization ?
Yes, volume has been $3B for the last 24 hours and price was $6800 on CMC but on other exchanges it hit more than that.

Right now, its again starting to correct so expect red Monday.
9676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do ethereum compete with bitcoin? on: July 08, 2018, 11:33:02 PM
as if it is in the second place and nearer to the bitcoin then compare to other coins,
The progress of Ethereum has been quick because of the emerging of its smart contract and ERC20 token.

That made it to increase its use and market cap so it reached to the top and became the number 2 coin in the cryptoverse.

maybe in future it may beat bitcoin
No it won't.
9677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Giving away XRP on: July 08, 2018, 11:11:40 PM
With Ripples move to popularize it's cryptocurrency, is it a good move giving away xrps to increase it's popularity and utility?
Yes, just like airdrops it's part of their advertising campaign to increase its use and popularity.

But this coin is likely a pump and dump and I have no interest of claiming it.
9678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to deal with Token Spam on: July 08, 2018, 10:47:03 PM
it could be a good step for the future can reduce the garbage token scams make the perpetrators will not do it again
It is a good step to send those useless tokens to a random ethereum address?

so the creators create a real project real quality and useful
No, creators aren't creating those things all of the time they are only creating ICO tokens that will make them rich and leave it after making money and repeat.

9679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market tactics on: July 08, 2018, 10:26:19 PM
Hi all,

The markets are falling significantly again, is this still relatively normal and is the best advice just to HODL?
Hi,

Yes!

Moving forward I think I will set stop losses on all holdings to protect my capital against falls like this.
You can do what you wish and what you think that's best for your portfolio. I'm not stopping my losses since the start of this bear market and I'm confident with the returns soon.
9680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just glad to be apart of the Bitcoin ecosystem! on: July 08, 2018, 09:55:22 PM
Easiest way to [1]buy, [2]spend or [3]promote Cryptocurrency, anyone? Huh
[1]You can directly to a person that sells below the market cap price, for bitcoin you can use localbitcoins.

[2]If you want to spend it, look for bitcoin or crypto merchants that's near you or you can use it to order something online.

[3] This forum is one of the best place to promote legitimate crypto's.

So far I've joined the Qyno Project. If your interested,  check out the website here.  https://www.qyno.org
And now you're promoting it, are you sure that you don't know how to promote?

I was able to get valuable information,  learning more about crytocurrency and easily sign up.  Grin

I also took the opportunity to get free bitcoins from their bounty.  Wink
I'll stay away from this project, it's too good to be true read the quote below.
