Obvious mistake #1: security software and "cracked version" shouldn't really go together.
Security and cracked anything don't go together. If it's been cracked that means some unknown third party has inserted some new code in to it somewhere. That code could do literally anything. Even if you don't have any bitcoin related data on the computer you are using said cracked software on, it could be stealing your usernames and passwords, or it could even encrypt your entire hard drive and demand a ransom.

Pretty much. Hell, I don't even trust most security software, what more cracked security software. The only security software I run on my Windows device is Malwarebytes, and I don't even run it on the background. Pretty much just for occasional scanning purposes.

Obvious mistake #1: security software and "cracked version" shouldn't really go together.
Obvious mistake #2: Storing the recovery seed digitally, AND on your personal computer.

Very very amateurish mistakes to be honest; and based on your title, the second time already? Anyway, hope you didn't lose that much. Take the hard-learned lessons and make sure that this never happens again.

Maybe you can share about what's link you've download the crack? It will help any members to stay away about that's site
I don't really think what link it is matters that much. Downloading cracked software is risky in itself, and knowing that OP had bitcoin.

To all those who have been in the campaign since the beginning, congratulations on 150 weeks who are behind them - and I wish everyone at least that many successful weeks Wink

Damn. Time sure does fly so fast, and it's surely going to feel like time is gonna fly a lot faster due to most of the world being in a lockdown.

Long live ©hipMixer. Stay safe bois.

Kung tama ung pagkakaalala ko e physical gold coins[1] ang gamit nila sa John Wick movies. Or is there something I missed?

tldr; only download browser extensions from the platform's legitimate website. Don't go and search the extensions on the webs tore or on Google(especially if you're not using an adblock extension; if you're not, what are you doing with your life?). Fake extensions and phishing websites will come and go. At some point this section is just going to be filled with fake extension/website reposts.
9686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Look at the setup that is developing right now for crypto on: April 06, 2020, 11:53:20 PM
1. Positive markets is not synonymous to the coronavirus situation getting better. The markets can be irrational, and it has been from time to time.
2. Don't expect people who don't have savings to be buying risky assets.
3. Possibly, but no guarantees.

And finally, stop being too impatient.

As for countries like Venezuela, safe to assume na dumami ang taong nakarealize ng importance ng Bitcoin. Most people learn the hard way ika nga.

Tongue https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5110878
9688  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has Seen a Major Boost Amid Dollar Crisis on: April 06, 2020, 10:13:22 AM

source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/58-americans-less-1-000-090000503.html

"58 percent of respondents had less than $1,000 saved." This data was just from May last year; and for some reason some people think that people will use the stimulus money to buy bitcoin; even though a lot of Americans barely have money saved. A bit too much in the "hopium" side if you ask me. We don't even know if "the dollar crisis" is what made bitcoin rise from $6000 to $7000. What if, you know, it was simply just demand in general? We don't need to put a reason to everything because there's no way for us to verify anyway.

9690  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Another airdrop related about covid might be scam again! on: April 05, 2020, 01:57:33 PM
not all airdrop named COVID19 is a scam, I found a legit corona coin airdop
20% of their profits are donated to the red cross. many members trade there

?

How do you know that they're actually donating the profits to red cross? What's the use case of the coin in the first place? Creating an airdrop coin specifically for charity makes zero sense no matter how good the intention.
9691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee 2020 Prediction on: April 05, 2020, 10:22:19 AM
What are your insights about this? are you willing to wait for his promise about the market prediction?

I'm pretty sure majority of us here has thought that the guy was full of crap even before he said that Bitcoin is outdated, and pretty much ever since he made the prediction. The "prediction" was far too unrealistic to start with.
9692  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I will Help Write for your blog Free on: April 05, 2020, 07:01:44 AM
Alternatively to what ChuckBuck said, you can try contacting the small-mid sized blogs/news sites and ask them for a guest post. It's likely that some of the small blogs will proudly allow someone to write one or a few posts for them for free. They get content, you get to get backlinks(for SEO) for your blog. It's a win-win. Best of luck.
9693  Economy / Gambling / Re: Proof that Freebitco.in game is not provably fair. on: April 05, 2020, 05:43:08 AM
Why is it that every few months there is someone who is surprised their "Martingaling strategy" has suddenly failed due to >15+ losses in a row.

We have all been there. We discover dice and see how easy it is to make money. Basically bet $1 and if you lose, bet $2 next round and you will always win. Its impossible to get over 10 losses in a row correct? Wrong.

I think I was cleaned out before with like 15-16 reds in a row on 50/50 dice a few years back. Basically built up my account for weeks with martingale and eventually it failed that one time and lost the entire account.

Yes. The Martingale Strategy. Been on the tip of my tongue since my first reply and simply didn't mention it instead because I forgot what it was called. Been a victim of that too in the past when I was in my younger years. You quickly learned that for that strategy to be viable in the slightest, you would need A LOT more capital than what you thought. I completely underestimated how fast the doubling could grow.
9694  Economy / Gambling / Re: Proof that Freebitco.in game is not provably fair. on: April 05, 2020, 03:27:42 AM
not quite, i have had more rounds today, i lost 10 times on another round , but i won 1 times and recovered my lost satoshi, say wathever u say this is not a provably fair game... also a friend played some months ago and he lost 17 times in a round, for y'all if you dont want to risk your satoshi, dont bet on this website.

Tell you what. While I think there's no way for us to really find out if the "win chance" percentage is actually legitimate or not and while I'm definitely no probability or statistics expert, even if we manually set it to 50%(hence lower potential winnings), having such a losing streak is in no way impossible. And taking note that you had your multiplier set to 2 hence your chances of winning is lower than 50%(47.50%). Don't underestimate the -2.5% difference.
9695  Economy / Gambling / Re: Proof that Freebitco.in game is not provably fair. on: April 05, 2020, 02:51:30 AM
What's the problem? Though it's definitely in the 'unlucky' side, losing 13 times in a row is definitely a possibility. It's not like the possibility of you winning the gamble goes up after every loss.

Also, with freebitco.in, the possibility of you winning a x2 multiplier is 47.50% not 50%.

9696  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Birthday to Satoshi Nakamoto. on: April 05, 2020, 12:51:49 AM
It is not misled at all because the author said it is claimed, so it make sense that the author did not confirm Dorian Nakamoto as Satoshi.

Did a bit of searching and digging around and just completely assumed that the listed birthday on the  Wiki page was Dorian Nakamoto's. Whoops.
9697  Other / Meta / Re: Happy Birthday to Satoshi Nakamoto. on: April 04, 2020, 11:32:19 PM
Anyone here has a Wikipedia account? Someone definitely should attempt to edit and remove the birth date and nationality information. We wouldn't want people to be misled.

9698  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: an important reminder : accumulate bitcoin. on: April 04, 2020, 01:29:37 PM
No one is here for 20 years investments. This is a very long time. I can hold by bitcoins for another 1- 2 years and I am hopeful we will see the bull run before this time. If you are holding for bitcoin for 20 years, it is also very risky because you never know whether bitcoin will exist that time or there maybe something new,  currency which we can't imagine now.

20 years might be a long time, but I personally think 1-2 years is still quite short-sighted. In my opinion a minimum should be like 5 years. Also, are we really all into Bitcoin solely for investment purposes? The really passionate Bitcoiners surely does seem to be a dying breed huh.

9699  Economy / Exchanges / Re: "False crypto exchange traffic volume?" on: April 04, 2020, 01:00:20 PM
The cryptocurrency markets are hugely unregulated hence why a lot of exchanges get away with schemes like this. Just don't use those scammy exchanges and just stick with those select few reputable ones. It's not like were in shortage of good exchanges.
9700  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the anonymous cryptocurrency on: April 03, 2020, 02:33:22 PM
First off, Bitcoin is only pseudonymous and not anonymous by default.
I might slightly disagree on this coz even we are under codenames/false names/tx's/addresses this also fall that we are anonymous for most coz no one can tell if you're behind that address to one another. Anonymous is not knowing the identity but knows what it looks, smell or appear in any sense while anonymity on the other hand is not knowing completely. So I guess neither of this, the decentralization of bitcoin will fall onto, but who cares?

It's not an opinion, it's a fact. Sure all we see are just addresses and tx IDs, but those data can easily easily be traced back to a personal identity(may it be an exchange account, or an IP address, etc); especially if you don't take extra privacy precautions. Hence, pseudonymous. This has been addressed a lot of times already throughout the years. I suggest looking deeper into it.
