9681  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Advice for being a bounty manager? on: September 06, 2018, 07:56:19 AM
OK, my two cents are this. Focus on quality. The best managers are recognized for having basic managing skills. They are on time, they are efficient, they can communicate well between participants and projects. But quality is the thing that many managers don't look at.

This isn't even just the quality of content that the participants post, that is somewhat easier to manage. But the quality of the projects they are working for is what is important. I've seen now reputable managers ruin their income by promoting scam projects. That was their fault for not taking care of their own due diligence.

Get the best projects, satisfy both ends, because unhappy participants ruin not only the project but the managers in the end.
9682  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which is your favorite cryptocurrency related website besides BitcoinTalk? on: September 06, 2018, 07:36:41 AM
Let's all admit that wherever we tried to go for new opportunities, we all end up coming here to bitcointalk for the best. I had a good time for a few months in Bitcoingarden because plenty of airdrops were starting out there along with threads of altcoin developers, but after a while it got saturated and this forum still became the best.

Now I also see Moon Forum picking up, also focusing on airdrops and bounties, but this may not be sustainable in the long run. It's easy to see. Advertising rates on this forum are still so high meaning the traffic and referrals are still the highest here. Maybe it won't be the case in 10 years but for now. BCT is king, like Bitcoin is king.
9683  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need for advice and YOUR feedback About ICO ranking website on: September 06, 2018, 06:57:38 AM
An interesting article to understand the « problem » with some habitual practice of maybe the bigger ICO ranking website :  https://medium.com/alethena/this-is-how-easy-it-is-to-buy-ico-ratings-an-investigation-13d07e987394

I’ts really scary and I suppose there is a lot of other cases...

We never really needed any proof as everything was obvious but the whole industry is based around profit and money. The better you market yourself, the more people fall for it. It's hardly about technology anymore, hardly about blockchain and decentralization. Never about making the world a better place. Pay a few guys to market for you, to shill for you, and pay cheaply too. Forget all these ratings, make your own decisions. And in fact, forget about ICOs for now. They just want your money.
9684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Devs can't seem to come to common ground about the upcoming Hardfork on: September 06, 2018, 05:54:17 AM
They just announced what they were planning on doing, basically going from 3-4 blocks and increasing difficulty in 12 months... Read more here: https://cryptocoin.news/cryptocurrency/ethereum-devs-reach-hardfork-decision-eth-price-reacts-immediately-19984/

That could affect the market, perhaps positively, not sure... Let's hope so! I have some ETH too....

Not increasing difficulty in 12 months, but forced and guaranteed increase to such a high amount. This is the timebomb feature to force ETH to hardfork within 12 months, or else nothing can ever be mined with the difficulty.

People say this will mean a more robust ETH but I don't know because for me hardforks are always unstable times for a network. Miners will be leaving ETH I guess which means slower growth and slow security growth. But investors will love it.
9685  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Bitcoin Casino | Plinko, Mines, Blackjack, Roulette + 8 more 👽 on: September 06, 2018, 05:23:57 AM
Guys, enough of the conversations around PD or BetKing or whatever a. This is the Stake thread so we can talk about Stake.

And especially, stop using the word scam all around, open 1 thread and make your accusations, and then leave it there for people to take care of. I can respect and understand what happened to some players but they shouldn't be dragging other sites into this mess. Now PD and Stake are accused of being used to make posts about Betking? These are some of the nicest guys around. Let's keep this all about gambling right?
9686  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Managers - Looking for someone to post for us on: September 05, 2018, 05:49:10 AM
Bounty managers usually just do that... manage. They don't post on behalf of their campaigns. They might create an ANN (announcement post) and answer anyone who asks about the project in that thread, but that's the extent of their work.

What they do is open up a bounty program for you, get people to join it (these are the guys who do the posting on your behalf, usually carrying your signature. The manager chooses the right people who qualify, and determine the amount of work they do and submits to you payment details. Or you put them in charge of the tokens, and they make the payments.
9687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Common Errors of Trading on: September 05, 2018, 04:36:21 AM
The hardest of all in all that list is this: sticking to your plan. Traders spend a lot of time designing their strategies. Poring over charts and trying out analysis, reading and trying to make some plan. The temptation isn't just in the heat of the moment. It isn't just about revenge trading or keeping to stop losses and deposits. It's to look at others and say wow that guy's strategy is doing well, maybe I should change to his.

So traders never give their strategies a chance, they change it as soon as they're not doing well. This to me, is the worse.
9688  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Do crypto games have a future? on: September 05, 2018, 03:32:50 AM
Real blockchain games are coming, they're in development and they will be big. For me, popular games have always been primitive even in the world outside of blockchain and outside of digital even. I mean, you yourself see only scam games or collectibles - but there have been since many years blockchain gaming. If you've heard of Namecoin they were the ones who developed Chimaera and Huntercoin way back in 2013. Go check online and look for blockchain gaming. Discover a few intelligent games and give me merit Wink
9689  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Devs can't seem to come to common ground about the upcoming Hardfork on: September 04, 2018, 08:10:58 AM
I am really confused about ETH and what will happen to it. What I worry now is every time they hardfork I have to be careful about spending, so probably need to now keep track of the timings and take note of when we can't spend.

I suppose keeping everything in MEW is good enough for now and ultimately I'm a holder so reducing to 2 ETH for me is a good idea. I always knew the risks of buying a centralized coin and even though even now people realize the dapp universe is not going to happen, I think it's still early and things can still happen for Vitalik's creation.
9690  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥Need help in user research (new mining software). Get ETH/XMR/LTC in return. on: September 04, 2018, 06:53:38 AM
I would say though that surveys shouldn't be incentivized or rather not with a monetary reward. Promise to give them back results, or give them access to something new, a product or service we crypto users can use.

The reason is as you can see this alt forum is full of nothing but people looking for free money. They might just abuse your survey in the hopes of getting the reward. Just saying hope you track forum username and all that.

Finished the survey, I always do these types of survey whether or not there's an incentive. P.S. there was nothing in there that showed me how I would get the reward, so I guess that part's not true, or I didn't have the right profile?
9691  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My 100x-1000x bet in a year on: September 04, 2018, 05:43:45 AM
IMO, the most important property of Masari is not the mobile wallet. It is the fact that Masari is a Monero fork, much like LTC is to BTC. So Masari has privacy features by default. They try to improve on the mining process and possibly implement blocktree sharding, in an attempt to improve scalability.

There are nowadays quite a number of Monero forks, not mentioning the other Cryptonote based coins. They all have the privacy features.
So imho a mobile wallet for a Monero fork is not enough for "moon". The only somewhat convincing part is that the dev is active and "brilliant" (which comes from a newbie so.. hmmm...), but yeah.. I personally am not convinced, at least not yet. I may research more though. I will help you with something though: I'll add that the link to the ANN page, since I'll go there for a read.

I'm a Monero holder/user. Small time. Never gave a single look to any of the forks, even if you tell me they are better and faster and whatever you want to call for it. Mobile wallet? CN fast? Brilliant dev? But can you name a merchant who will take Masari or any of the forks? I can't. And I'm not going to stress myself looking for one or finding exchanges to sell when I moon.

Fact is, Bitcoin also had all its forks and all were supposed to be better but they all failed eventually in adoption. Tech upgrades were simple, not to the complexity of the old chain. So why would I ever move to a fork?
9692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zcash is making progress and it is undervalued on: September 03, 2018, 07:26:05 AM
I don't know honestly how to tell anymore what is undervalued and what is overvalued.

What we know for sure is except for Bitcoin, every other crypto is struggling to do anything without promotions and marketing. And what we know now that most altcoins are 90% or worse decline from their all time highs, is that they were definitely overvalued and overbought.

So yes, alts appear oversold, and corrections are due in some months, but undervalued I cannot say. They are all progressing in development. They are all getting better. But are their utilities increasing? Users? I don't feel that at all.

Hi All,

Later today we are going to launch a large update to the Stake platform. During this period there will be a downtime of roughly 6-8 hours, but may be subject to change. Apologies for any inconveniences caused.

As with all large updates, your seeds will be required to be rotated on next login. This is for various reasons but most importantly player security and complete transparency.

Excellent news. Stake is one of the really good recent casinos to launch, and now that it is one year old you can see how a well run site can grow so quickly. Is there anything particular to be shared with this large update?

This is a feedback for the site to improve, maybe too late for this update but something to look at next? The chat moves too fast. I don't even chat anymore because it's impossible to follow. It should have a function to sort of mute non-important updates or to have a separate window that shows Rain plus Bet shares and maybe also implement a sort of auto-muting for those spamming and 1 liners. Just my take!
9694  Economy / Gambling / Re: Goodbye P3D,Hello HoHo!! on: September 03, 2018, 05:20:51 AM
Is this is somekind like ponzi? It has much more greater divident on joining people instead of huge inveators. Does not really making sense here, and even double from dividents from the latter? How can this can be possible? How is this exactly really work? You should give more explanation about how this things going or this can't work

I think you mean the game HoHoBet, right?
It is not a ponzi, you can get revenue by both bet early and bet on the right side. If you bet early, there is more uncertainty where the price goes, the people who bet later could get the information and make a better choice. The former earn dividends with a little chance to win the game, the latter pay tax to the former with a big probability to win. So it is a game, and you make your decision.

So many of you guys coming and going. Was almost tempted to play a recently launched game here (fomo's too big!) but then the game seems to have just gone quiet. Still very curious so I need to ask one thing: with the dividend option tokens, do they expire once the game ends, as in you have to keep buying in for every game to win a share of dividends? Secondly, does it matter when you buy the dividend tokens or can you buy up a huge amount near the end of the game and still get the same share as if you bought early?
9695  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are there any good arcade style games? on: September 03, 2018, 05:16:12 AM
Used to be a site called playforcrypto. I spent like, a lot of time there playing stupid games like snake until I could get enough coins to withdraw (if I'm not mistaken they used to allow you to convert to Bitcoin).

I should have seen it coming when they started to change things, change coins, remove coins and all that. About a month ago they just went offline suddenly. Lost all the coins I never withdrew, and it tells me you can't really run a site like that and be profitable. As pointed out, too easy to cheat with bots.
9696  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin/ Crypto ATM's on: September 02, 2018, 11:31:33 AM
Perhaps I would try just to get the experienced.  Smiley

But with the premium fees, its not a good option for anyone at this point. I lived where I can get it bitcoin in a convenient store, haven't tried it as well but there's one across the street that anytime I go to and buy and see how it goes.

Probably what a Bitcoin ATM machine can offer is less risk as compare to P2P and meeting someone who is a total stranger.

Actually I have never even seen any of these ATMs except on pictures online and how people talk about them. So like you I am probably curious to get some. Actually where I am living now, even localbitcoin fees and prices from Sellers are almost 10% at times especially with recent demand and that stupid crypto ban in my country. So if I could get ATM Bitcoins at 10% I probably would. I don't like meeting strangers too. So many crime from those meetings happened in my country.

It's a strange thing to imagine for me, to be able to buy Bitcoin everywhere. Perhaps one day if I can travel I will see all of these amazing sights.

Hello, this is an interesting thread. I invested myself in a few types of pooled portfolios online. They made me some money in the end of last year even until January, but I was too greedy and wanted to make 3 digit percentage profit that I left it all untouched.

As of today, I have lost almost 75% of my initial investments, because mainly altcoins have failed to recover like Bitcoin. So whoever picked NANO there is either quite lucky or very wise!

I read from the old threads there is maybe a Round 3 or another one for latecomers like me. Am I wrong?
9698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: September 02, 2018, 09:15:14 AM
It is not regarding the recovery of everything, some alts ar already going back to their previous worth and bitcoin and ethereum do simply a similar issue. you must trust your alts a lot of.

Which alts are you talking about? Just look at the top 20 or even top 50, not a single alt is anywhere NEAR their old worth. Neither in dollar value and neither in Bitcoin value. Bitcoin as of this moment is making a new climb back around 7,250 and even ETH couldn't break past $300 now, just going back towards 290.

The longer this happens, the more we must all be prepared for the market to recover.

And now you see it. We shouldn't have had all these thousands of tokens.
9699  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, campaigns, gambling or mining? on: September 02, 2018, 08:40:57 AM
Which one would you prefer or best to earn? As far as i have come across, crypto is the best platform to have good earnings. We have many who have a good experience on it and still into it without a regular job. Many have left their main job after experiencing double income from crypto. Many have become millionaire and have changed their lifestyles. Which one would be the best to have good crypto earnings?

Crypto is simple the medium. If you talk about trading, gambling, there's not much difference between fiat and crypto (except maybe there are such things as faucets in crypto).

Don't believe all the stories about secrets to making money. Since the 90's, people sell their secrets online. To trading, to casino arbitrage, poker secrets, and today are all the tricks and stories about how to make money with Bitcoin trading, arbitrage... etc.

Same tricks, different era, different tools. Now it is Bitcoin.

There is NO easy road in life. Bitcoin is not an easy road.
9700  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: September 02, 2018, 08:09:49 AM
This is a smart and long term planning approach, and like I said I have barely seen poker requests in this thread or on the site. As Boxxob has mentioned the player base is not big enough for the site to add poker, and it takes lot of time and money to get poker in the site, and if the returns are not good or negligible then I feel this is a good decision. There's no merit in the argument that poker will keep site users active, as Bitdice is not known for poker, and it would lead to unnecessary comparison with other poker sites.

I think we all should focus now on the upcoming sports bet, as we have a official confirmation of it coming soon.

I'll bring the news over here once I have everything confirmed.

Ah okay so fair enough, now that I've read all the comments against poker. I don't really agree about competition, I think it's good and competition is better for everyone BUT I do agree most of all with the part about the difficulty to monitor all the cheaters and unfair play on poker. That will be so difficult it's not worth it, which is impossible to game with sportsbooks.

So good decision in the end.
