9741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Bank??? on: December 04, 2015, 08:18:41 AM
why people always want to turn bitcoin into fiat, fiat is garbage, you should get rid of it, the whole system is rotten beyond repair

the interest in bitcoin, is earned via bitcoin itself, when the price increase, there is no need fo a mere interest like those of 55 per eyar from bank, you cand download a random good pos coin, and have  a better interest per year, up to 50%
9742  Economy / Economics / Re: To enter niche markets we need sidechain. on: December 04, 2015, 08:16:36 AM
No, I do not agree. To enter niche markets we need colored coins more than sidechains. Colored coins offers more opportunities. Counterparty already offers a solution for Bitcoin blockchain.

What are colored coins ? I've heard that term a few times today, but I still don't know what it means.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fmFjmvwPGKU

tl.dr they are basically stored asset on the blockchain
9743  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the most expensive thing, you bought with Bitcoin? Does price matter? on: December 04, 2015, 07:47:21 AM
a mining rig in the past, a gpu rig exactly with 6 750ti and evrything else, it cost me around 1200 euro, but it did generate much more, around 2k

in the case i would not have bought that i woud have lost money, but i can see what you're trying to say with something that is not bought for investment, but for personal care

this is related to someone have his target first then you can finally spend your bitcoin without worring about losing value on what you buy

for example if my target is 10k, i would wait until then before starting to use bitcoin massively, and even if it will increase to 20k, i would leave in peace, because 10k was enough for me
9744  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Not Useful for Terrorists, Already Regulated Appropriately on: December 04, 2015, 07:44:25 AM
Why don't they try and regulate the EUR or USD cause its being used to fund terrorist activities ?

it's only mean that they don't even have the absolute control over their own fiat let alone, bitcoin, it's why they want to avoid with another thing on which their contorl would be even more lower
9745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what about scammer ? on: December 04, 2015, 07:41:12 AM
I think scammers used the fiat and the cash more than bitcoin, bitcoin isn't yet so famous as you think OP

scamming fiat online is very hard, that's way there are more interested to scam with bitcoin and then converting, because no one can argue form where they received those coins, they can always say  that they instamined them with altcoin in the doge era...

with fiat you can't really scam, you need to scam cc details or something hard as that
9746  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin generator on: December 04, 2015, 07:39:57 AM
bitcoin isn't a browse game where you click a button and it start to generate, it's not a silly game, it's money, you need expensive mahicne that generate bitcoin before everything else, without this you can not generate anything

see if you have good electricity first and then you can buy 1 s5 to try it out
9747  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New member on: December 04, 2015, 07:38:01 AM
use coinimal they accept neteller, and paypal too just in case you need it
9748  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin on Trade.com on: December 04, 2015, 07:34:48 AM
that website does not look trustworthy, they have a not verified identity(there is no green lock) usually i discard anywebsite that do not come with it, especially if i need to send my money
9749  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about Valid Collateral on: December 04, 2015, 07:29:02 AM
the best collateral would be an account, it's easy to transfer the ownership and can be sold quite easily as well, but for 5 btc you need something like legendary with trust or hero with many trust

The best collateral would be an altcoin. I have seen plenty of loan requests using domains as a collateral and most of them are not accepted because the user is offering a shitty domain, if you can prove your site is worth 5btc or more then I'm sure someone will. Why do you need the 5 bitcoins in the first place?

not my site, but my account, i've made 20 btc with this account, so yes it's worth much more than a mere 1 btc

and no, altcoin ar enot a valid collateral they depreciate very easily, and a very unstable, i would not take any altcoin as a collateral not even litecoin

instead an hero account is still worth at least 0.5 even today
9750  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Buying bitcoins in the UK on: December 04, 2015, 07:27:21 AM
Most exchanges that we can use in the uk are way over priced. Does anyone take advantage and use arbitrage or is it not worth the hassles registering, verifying, working out costs, doing the transactions, transferring wallet to wallet all for a couple of £.

Arbitrage is quite risky. It takes time to transfer fiat and bitcoin into different exchanges. The time will cost money.

it must be done with a bot not manually, and fiat should already be there, when you see that you ran out of fiat you do another transfer the same day, not waiting for it to go to zero
9751  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 1 BTC available for investement, what would you do? on: December 04, 2015, 07:25:56 AM
1 BTC is too small amount, you must put a lot more BTC in the investment, like Forex USD/BTC market. Plus if you do not have enough experience, you can loose them fast  Wink

no you can see it as your bankroll(1 btc) and begin with 0.01 on any webiste that allow you to trade forex with bitcoin, if you're good you will have no problem increase the initial amount
9752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin used to do money laundering - will it become a huge problem? on: December 03, 2015, 08:41:44 PM
the governments dont care..
their banking red flags are already good enough.

bitcoin is treated like a foreign currency or an asset (like gold or antiques in that regard)

if someone moves more than $10,000 out either by wire transfer or buying something expensive or making a large withdrawal at a bank clerks desk.. it gets flagged.
so it doesnt matter if an american is laundering via bitcoin, Euro's, antique auctions.. its all treated the same.

what if he does not exchange them for fiat, but... he buy directly at phisical shop or face to face or whatever? no re flag can happen in that case, and anyone can basically move thousand of dollars without the governments noticing anything
9753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell now and buy again at $1300. on: December 03, 2015, 06:35:03 PM
i don't want to miss that gain, which x350+, on the other hand it's true that i'm not waiting for 1300 only, but if we are really going above 1300 then it's better to simply hold then doing anything else more risky, for a not-professional trader/manipulators
9754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can ASICS miners be repurposed for other use? on: December 03, 2015, 06:32:56 PM
Extremely useful heater (after down clock and apply quiet fans), it runs 24/7 so you don't need extremely large power consumption to heat a house, and the electricity cost is compensated by the mined coins

i've heard bad things about health problem with an asic running in your home, there was one guy that had this problem

air get toxic after a while if too much heat is generated because of the fumes of some HW parts inside the asic
9755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Test your bitcoin news knowledge from the past week! Take bitcoin news quiz! on: December 03, 2015, 06:29:56 PM
bad result for me, i'm not in the news to much , or it is simply much harder than the one about direct knowledge for bitcoin

but i admit that a simply search on coindesk would have solved it quickly
9756  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What is the next MtGox? on: December 03, 2015, 06:27:23 PM
I heard that bitstamp has claimed to be running on bitcoin XT, the biggest dangerous right now

is this really true, where is the source? i have always dismissed bitstamp as exchange, never liked if this is true, i'll put them in the trash can directly

also they might be in touch with coinbase, because they are pro bitcoin xt aswell
9757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC/USD or Bitcoin in wallet ? Which is safer for long term investment on: December 03, 2015, 06:24:54 PM

how can fiat be safe long term?

because it is controlled, by the government, and unless your whole government will collapse it will have always a reason to be useful

and i'm not sure if hoping for your own government to collapse, will make bitcoin useful in your country, it's no like the citiezens are waiting for that to embrace bitcoin
9758  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will this bitcoin will go down? on: December 03, 2015, 06:23:14 PM
If you have the extra amount to to invest. buy now because where else do you think will the btc price go?
still need to think whether he wants to make profit long term or short term

you can always do profit short term no matter the range, because usually shorters play with the swings that may occur at any range of value

so the only option is holding and waiting for a better price, never wait for a lower price in long term
9759  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn Bitcoins fast and free?? on: December 03, 2015, 03:43:05 PM
No, nothing like that, everything is proceeding, meaning it is no process and no instant like that

If you are really new in the world bitcoin, you can try to play faucet first.

Increase level your members, from newbie, jr.member, member, full members until you level go up then join the signature campaign, I think it was one of the fastest ways to get bitcoin

how to join signature campaign?? and it works?? Smiley

see the market section under service https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=52.0, but since you're newbie you're very limited to 777coin
9760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price rise is over on: December 03, 2015, 02:42:13 PM
Take your pills and calm down dude. We have 260 more days before halving.

The race for BTC price ll start withing the next 4 months.

The effect of halving from 25 to 12.5 could still be big. But in the future, the halving effect will be less. This time, the halving could double the price.

for litecoin the halving from 50 to 25, resulted in a nice x10, then there was a big dump because litecoin it's kinda useless

so doubling is the very least thing that it will happen, i'm expecting more as unsubstantial rise
