-from your current sig.

what's this other/same thing you founded with Buterin et al.?

Yes, I'm going to step down as president and take a less active role but still remain involved...and will also update the sig!  Thanks

Ok that's the trivial bit.

Now can you just somehow magically realise there is nothing you can do for or against bitcoin.

It exists, with or without you.

I checked the website nastyfans.org, but it's a bit unclear to me - is it some kind of cloudmining service or what? You can buy some seats (=shares?) then get dividends based on them or just how it works? Roll Eyes

Check out the thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=86854.0

It should be more clear there.  NastyFans definitely isn't cloudmining.  Seats never expire, don't have costs, and don't depend on mining alone for BTC.

Still don't get it Grin What is this service or security all about... Is there some kind of review or a summary about it, like what does it really mean to buy some seats here Undecided

it means you give over some coins and you don't get all them back
tl;dr don't bother your pretty head with this, it's just another tired old scam.
9764  Other / Off-topic / Re: GPG4Win on: April 14, 2015, 08:49:14 PM
Hello. First I want to say hi to everyone. I am new to bitcointalk and it seems like a cool place. I need to use encryption when purchasing from where I want on the dark web. I downloaded gpg4win and Kleopatra. I cant seem to successfully make a set of keys on either one. Kleopatra makes my keys in strange characters that look Chinese and gpa wouldn't create and save to a folder. Now gpa wont even make keys for me. Anyone else run into similar problems and what did you do?

ohai. welcome. it's not that cool, but there's little option for beginners.
windows is not a safe environment for encryption or anything really and gpg4win is just no good.
get gnupg classic (1.4something).

don't do drugs lol

How can you help the sun?
How can you help gravity?
Like bitcoin, these things do not need help.
Help yourself and get out fast.

9769  Economy / Auctions / Re: BTCT.CO (BTC Trading Corp) Server with Code (also ran litecoinglobal.com) on: April 12, 2015, 07:26:46 PM
yay more scams. was getting quiet over this side.

I don't think the intent is to use it in the same way it was used in the past.  The SEC finally made some progress with their work on the JOBS act and it's possible for this project to be used in a more regulated fashion.

Well that's doubleplus unreassuring. The intent is not nearly enough in bitcoin. What of competence, track record, WoT presence? Let's hope the party has all that.
And nobody in bitcoin cares about the SEC or their doings.
9770  Economy / Auctions / Re: BTCT.CO (BTC Trading Corp) Server with Code (also ran litecoinglobal.com) on: April 11, 2015, 05:57:07 PM
Few updates.

We are in negotiations with a party for a BIN.

Approximately two weeks left in this auction.

We are working on getting a working demo setup.  ETA, 3 days.

Cheers.

9776  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Newest Diff thread April 5 to April 18th on: April 09, 2015, 06:49:03 AM
Since the contests started, these threads have become pointless. What happened to the lively discussion about difficulty? It's all just people posting their guesses now. Boring.
Not all.
First few days yes we all guess and not much else except Phil's analysis and one or two people give reasons.
But once the guessing closes the threads go back to reasons/speculation proper.
Maybe not being able to change guesses would help keep the content level up, help us all decide when to lower voltage, sell off, buy in.

Your in a popularity contest with yourself mate.

Are you from Australia or Britain originally, mate? You used this term of address twice more further up the thread.

/Mauiflipper/Phoenix

Are you now claiming the CTS scam as one of your own? The Observer tried to push the blame for that one onto any one else but him just like you do.

9780  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: April 06, 2015, 07:43:54 AM
Yes Erdogan those fiat/statist sites and one scam-infused 'coin' site obviously spout nonsense.
But your original claim was about bitcoin knowledge, not gold/money/fiat/old hat knowledge, and mine is that it is better found elsewhere.

Yes op it was stupid of me to make an account on bitcointalk and to attempt to engage your tsunami of trolls.
