Ok...
In resumé, once the pins are in place.
I go to SERIAL under connection in PUTTY, I enter this (115200, no flow control, correct COM port defined (115200,8,n,1))
and then click OPEN.
But the only thing that happen is a "ding" and nothing else.... what's my problem ?!?!?
How can I know if my CP2012 module driver's are well installed ?
How can I test it to know if it's not the module the problem ?

Hi all,
I have an S3+ that looks kinda stuck on startup. (Lan green light is on, and the red led flashing nonstop)
I found some instructions on the web saying I could connect to the S3 with a serial module and debug it....
I got myself a CP2102 usb 2.0 to uart module serial converter and I install putty... but the thing is that I dont know anything about the both of it....
Is there someone that could help me try to revive my S3... (Taugeran's revival guide is lacking a lot of vital information for a newbie like me....)
Anyone from bitmain could help ?!?!?! (contacted the support, but all they said it's send back the controller)

Not kidding at all...  Right now, the supply ratio between bitcoin and DigitalNote is about 1:441. Today the current market cap of bitcoin is over 7.4 billion USD at $472 each and will be going way higher soon in my opinion. $7.4 billion is minuscule compared to the world's fiat money supply. Simple mathematics shows that when the XDN supply matches the current bitcoin USD market value sometime in the future, each coin will be worth over $1 each. $8,000 fiat USD for 8,000 XDN looks pretty good. Too bad I dislike what the mighty dollar stands for. these days. Remember the sixth perfect number? 2^16(2^17 - 1) = 8589869056 = 111111111111111110000000000000000 DigitalNote, better than bitcoin. Oh yes, an XDN currency symbol would look good in front of 8000XDN.. This is all very beautiful, but XDN need a real purpose to gain exposure and value. |

I've been diligently running my I5-2500k which has been hashing around 125 H/s for almost two years.
That's nice, but: Network hashrate
14.27 kH/s This means the network could be 51% attacked by a home miner or someone with about 12 AWS instances (which you could run for a month with a $15 credit bought with BTC). Just asking if auxpow is in the cards, as that would probably boost hashrate up to at least a couple Mh/s. This is absolutely relevant fear, low network hash rate don`t give an opportunity for investors to buy. And low prices don`t give profits to miners, so hashrate is low. That is why we are working on PoA. We still have no decision about merge-mining. PoA is a very hard work with lots of tests and experiments. But as i said many times, when done, XDN will be, i guess, the most secure cryptocurrency and moreover more decentralized. By the way XDN deposit itself is a first step to PoA. With original cryptonote source code we can`t implement PoA and PoS. We don`t give a dates about PoA, i really hope we will finish it this summer, can be sooner or later. Also we keep work with new features. Soon you will see some. I dont think prices should be an issue. 3 days ago I found a client who wants to buy from me 8,000 XDN for $100 USD which is my spot price. I beleive all miners should ignore online prices and sell a little above production cost to where they can make a profit. Isn't that what the precious metals industry is doing? We should do the same. The firmware can be reflashed using a USB TTL programming dongle wired directly to the controller board. There are instructions out there. Of course that method isn't for everybody but the usb dongle costs almost nothing on ebay.
I also have a S3 stuck on restart... Would be great to find some clear instruction on how to connect to the S3 with such a device and the how to reflash the firmware... |

Ok I've finally made my first deposit... I have one question. So the deposit is made from a wallet with an address related to it on a computer. What if my computer drive crashes... ? Is there any way I could get back my deposit from another wallet ? Is the backup of the wallet.dat enough ? Thx ! |

Yep your more then welcome to open and close the wallet.. Switch mining on and off... All as you please.. Your wallet behavior has no bearing on your interest both standard and term deposit interest is handled on the blockchain.. The wallet is simply a tool used to access the blockchain.. Ok !! that's very good to know ! But how can I put HODL into a deposit with a address from a wallet on a computer, and then claim the coins from another wallet from another computer ? Dump the deposit addresses private key.. then import that key in to the other wallet.. let me know if you need this broken down to steps.. I think that might be usefull for everyone to know, no ? It can be hard to find that little reset button with a paperclip. You have to make sure you found it - you'll hear a subtle, little "click" when you find it and press on it. You sure you found it?
It's not always behind the hole to. Like when you say it can be hard to find he might need to use paper clip and go in a circle within hole trying to find it. Once he does find it though I would also ask him to make sure he's holding long enough. Some just press it and think it resets you have to hold longer then a instant push to do the reset I think hes going for. Also don't know his firmware but one had a issue where you could not reset... so hope hes not on that firmware. yeah yeah don't worry done it plenty of time.... I think the board is corrupted... |
