981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Key points to consider before investing in ICO (share your experience) on: October 21, 2017, 04:10:45 AM
Hello to all forum members!
With so many ICOs currently hitting the market, what are the key points an investor should pay attention to before "pulling the trigger".
Please share you recent experience. Thank you!
The team has always been my first consideration before even thinking of checking other things. That is what I always look out for first on the website and then do my findings further on linkedin and any other media. Only if I am rest assured that my fund is in the right hands, then is when I will consider reading more about the project. Doing a quick good research on the team in the past has always saved me time and energy on studying what the project is all about.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: October 20, 2017, 08:08:37 PM
The main reason is about neurology. Gambling affects same area in brain with cocaine.
Really, it has not been confirmed yet how gambling really plays such a huge addictive part but the neurology thing sounds a bit like it though. I would not want to compare it to cocaine anyway since that is more like a drug and it inhibits that same part of the brain directly. However, gambling starts with the mind and brain together and there is just always an impulse that triggers it which man! is bad.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: October 20, 2017, 07:48:19 PM
I started gambling for fun but as I got addicted to it and have found some methods to win , it turned out to be for profit now. Though I have never invested on it from my own pocket. I use the money I have won.

I guess all of us started to gamble by treating it as a fun thing to do. But as we gamble the more times that is becoming deep and each and everyone of us are starting to sense that gambling can be a good profiting tool and source of income. I'm stuck to that mindset because I use to gamble before the same as you but right now everything has change and I think that it's better to treat it as for profit.
I feel you mate! I have caught myself in this deep shit to before and I just had to fight it. It is easy to say you just want to catch fun, but it takes a whole lot of discipline for that mentality to remain like that. Gambling gradually do have a way of instilling a particular effect of just wanting to win and when you lose, it is like the whole world dropped on you and your decisions can be affected until you realize you are in deep. Gambling for profit makes you not to get too greedy and accept losses but does not still guarantee winning all the time.
984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade or Hodling on: October 20, 2017, 09:19:34 AM
i just holding and keep it up.i know   hold is better. example  1year ago bitcoin price very low.and now bitcoin price  day by day up.so i hold some btc .

Yup, I think that you should user Hold Strategy. I heard that there are some good news for Cryptocurrency recently such as South Korea starts regulating and taxing income Bitcoin. Therefore, you should buy Bitcoin now and wait for the rising of the price. good luck to you.  Grin
I think for me i  think both will work. The advantage of day trading is that you are always updated on what is happening on the market compared to long term holding where you just check them not too often but i think it really matters that which kind of coin you choose for daily trading and holding. i think under value coins are really good for daily trading and high potentials coins are usually used for holding for long term.
It totally depends on everyone's schedule. Anyone who is into day trading normally as a profession can really make the two work.
Usually, once I hit profit on a trade, I take part of the profit to buy the coin when it gets to the dip point and store for long term and there are also some coins that usually have some pretty good spikes too once in a while, for good profit.

However, for someone who may not have the time for daytrading, HODLing is just the best thing to do, or long term trading.
985  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you going to keep your BTC on exchange during the upcoming forks? on: October 19, 2017, 12:33:55 PM
you can keep your BTC on your wallet and ask for BCG when the fork is done.
You cannot just keep your funds in any wallet and hope to just ask for BTC and get it. If it works that way no one will be asking. If you want to keep it in a decentralized wallet, make sure you know how to handle private keys without you fumbling and losing all your assets and if you are using a centralized wallet or an exchange, it is best you find out if they will be supporting the forked chain or not, otherwise you will get nothing if they aren't.
986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good news to bitcoin traders. on: October 19, 2017, 11:52:16 AM
how can China ban Bitcoin?
China can ban bitcoin if they say they are making it an illegal form of transaction. It can only be banned in their country as this does not ban bitcoin globally and does not stop bitcoin from being used in any other country. China although already said banning bitcoin is impossible and all they are doing is to find a way to regulate it.

Read news more mate, and stop asking questions like this often. I only answered you because you might need it and at the same time, i felt you only used this to spam the thread.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: October 19, 2017, 08:53:50 AM
Investment risk : Never put all your eggs in one basket.

This is definitely correct rule and the most important rule, if OP put most money in bitcoin or ethereum, he would not lose so much, altcoins are very risky.

Yeah , but if your put on new coin/not popular , maybe its can be dump to low price.
Because a new coin have not stable price , can be decrease to based price  Cheesy
Altcoin = Like a new baby come to the world  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
Not every one really knows how to trade and some people just always end up gambling their position in the altcoin market. Some don't even set stop loss which is what amuses me the most until they have lost so much. At this stage, and looking at the market, it is simply obvious he has lost a lot and he was not really following the market movement to let it get to that point. But that is trading, shit happens! just learn from it.
988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in alts in 2018. on: October 19, 2017, 07:55:54 AM
@8rch7 you cant say that so sure, if for example us gov say that btc is only used for financing terrorism or drugs, and who uses is is a criminal then the game is over (its unlikely but there is possibility)...all goes to other crypto as well. we need to ask ourselves who will lose most if (when) crypto gets widely used and what will those "losers" do to remain in their position. there can be few ways for them to fight it...
Do you know since when this has been going on or since when government has been saying all that? So, where has it ended. The same government already understand there is nothing they can do to stop it, and rather than putting so much effort trying to stop it, they are finding ways they can benefit with the system.

Now, that is how you should start seeing it. Some altcoins for sure will get scrapped out while some will thrive more than how they are now, but no one knows and only time can tell.
989  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 18, 2017, 05:28:42 PM
Getting a job is not possible for everyone, not everyone has family or [friends] to help them and sometimes they will make the bad situations even worse them. If you've ever really needed money and were very desperate, than you probably know that people would let you starve to death rather than give you $5.

It's weird how people won't toss out just a few dollars to help someone in need, yet they'll spend $10000 or more on their pet that has an average life span of under 5 years.

But then again, if you give the person in need money, they'll keep coming back for it. It's a real crap shoot

People scam for easy money, fooling others, they doesn't want to give so much time and effort or hardwork to earn for their living.Easy comes easy goes, they spend in just a click and it will just fade away.
That is the way life works funny enough. Easy comes, easy goes. Most of these guys even always end up not having something tangible to do with what they get from their scams and it is ridiculous. They always have this belief that if it finishes, there is always going to be a fool and greedy fellow to set trap for. It is crazy and it is unfortunate, that is the decision they have made to keep their life going until it gets messed up one day.
990  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country will be the first to legalize Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2017, 03:25:44 PM
Bitcoin is already legal in many countries, see Legality of bitcoin by country or territory for a list per country.
Thanks a lot for sharing that link. This shows the stand of all countries worldwide and how they perceive bitcoin. From the look of things, very few countries have come out to declare bitcoin illegal, while some did not really give where they stand but still did not declare it illegal but for citizens to use bitcoin at their own risk.

From the development so far, I feel we are still on the right track and eventually most countries will end up succumbing to not having issues with bitcoin.
991  Economy / Economics / Re: Three reasons to invest in Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 03:05:21 PM
You don't need to explain anyone why to invest in btc when the price was low people were trying to find more and more reasons so that the price could be increased now daily millions are purchasing so even if someone invest a thousand dollars it won't effect the price at all.
All you have to do is to make them realise their mistake by updating them whenever the price increases.
Bitcoin is still risky investment for some people, we should not blame them, the bad accedents that affected Bitcoin like the collapse of Mt.Gox caused this situation, although Bitcoin is stronger now, but not all people think the same way.
I quite agree with you. However, I believe that everyone investing in something should understand the risk involved in any of their investment. The MT Gox thing was a really huge one and it really affected so many people but it is understandable after all so many people still stood their ground irrespective.

Also, like you said, the market today is incomparable to what we had in the past when a little FUD would have caused a huge blow, but now, hands keep getting stronger and people are gradually knowing the importance of the community and the fact that the support will keep growing no matter what.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: October 17, 2017, 08:04:59 AM
I would spend my big gain on the needs of my family. Winning will not make me rich and I still have to earn money sooner or later to provide for my family.
Yeaaa that's better idea rather than use your winning to gamble again and again.
There is no real end for you to gamble continuously , use that winning for something good while you can.
Enjoy it and walk away , don't come back as you are in profit .
It's hard to talk about this, it's better if your winnings you use to meet your needs than to gamble again, but on the other hand better gamble to use the money from gambling than the money you earn from work. So it's like telling you to stop gambling.
This really cannot be ruled out for most percentage of gamblers out there and it is pretty obvious. Lot of many people have considered gambling as work and ways to earn to sustain themselves in life and they end up getting greedy as time goes by looking for ways to always win bigger.

Like, just one hit and I am made. It is just pure luck and shit can happen. Gambling should be fun and if you win, be glad and walk away rather than making the greedy move that always end up the wrong way.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: October 17, 2017, 07:23:14 AM
I would invest 80% of my winnings into btc. If we are talking about future here so it's okay to me not to use any of my money to relax or have a trip because I'm sure there will be a much brighter future ahead of me.

80% of your money I think this decision is not prudent at all, because if bitcoin's price goes down you will lose everything, To do that, I advice you to be carefull in such a decision. For example you can invest the half and save the half, or if you want the risk decision you could invest 30 % at most in a uncertain project with a very high profit.
I don’t see how he isn't prudent with that. He had the BTC in the first place which must have been as a result of savings and got to multiply it with gambling, so removing 80% out of his winnings and saving into his wallet to me is even a great act of prudence. So, if BTC had reduced or increased, it would have still happened anyway with his savings in his wallet even if he had not gamble it.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: can gambling give you lessons in life? on: October 17, 2017, 06:53:22 AM
Gambling teach me how to be addicted on playing. For wasting money a lot, is the one reason to put me down onward. And yes gambling is gives you a lesson to learn how to manipulate your time ,for lossing money, and how it becomes affected with your life.

I agree with you. At first it teaches us negative things like to be addicted on it as what you have said but in the end it gives us a moral lesson. Afte we loss everything we will realized the importance of something that is already gone. Regret is always in the end. It also gives us a lesson that when everything is gone we must stand up again and start something new and make our life better.
I don’t really see regret as a life lesson. The moral lesson is just that life is full of ups and downs and we are bound to make mistakes as well as wrong decisions. The most important thing is to realize those mistakes and not make them again, which in the case of gambling, you know what's. so that makes me agree to the last part of what you said.

However, there are some times that gambling has taught some people lessons about greed which is basically the reason why most people always end up losing pretty bad.
995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm a beginner, I want to start trading. What should i do? on: October 17, 2017, 06:15:01 AM
The amount you use to start trading is not important.

I think it is even better to start trading with small amounts, as you will make mistakes in the beginning.

If you want to be a good trader you will have to do your own research about the coins you are willing to invest in.

By doing your own research I mean acquiring as much information as you can about the coin you want to buy.

Personally I try to read related articles and also attending to bitcoin meetups.

Recently i discovered some free software that predicts the future market of several coins. www.cryptoforesight.org

This should not be your only reference, but still I managed to make some profit using it.

One of the most important things in trading is to never give up, even if you have lost some of your investment.

If you keep trying you will keep learning, a good trader will make mistakes but learn from them every time.
In a way you’re right, the amount you start with doesn’t matter at all. You’ve got set your goals and fight to achieve them. Another thing that matters a lot is the platform you’re trading on; whether it is reliable or not. You need to make a lot of research and know the basics first.
996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What does 'Pump and Dump' means in crypto trading ? on: October 17, 2017, 04:40:47 AM
Its easy to determine what is Pump and Dump mean in crypto trading.. Pump means the price of the coin is rising and Dump means that the price went down.
Easy to find ? I’m not a trader, but I make investment (especially investing in wallets as savings) and I would say that investing/buying during the time of “DUMP” is perfect. But if you buy during the time of “PUMP”, you’re likely to encounter major losses.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people are sharing tips? on: October 14, 2017, 12:25:38 PM
So, I'm sure many of you have seen tipsters on this section, in your Twitter, in chatrooms and some other places - it's the people who suggest you to place bets on certain picks in sports. And maybe some of you have asked yourself a question - why they are doing it? Why they are giving us advises how to win money absolutely for free - and by doing this they decrease their own profit, since the winning pool grows bigger as people follow their tips. Can anyone explain this?
For future plans.
They start as free services after building reputation, they will convert their services into a paid one. I have seen many people has done this. Usually I do not follow free tipsters but I do paper bet with them to check their predicting capability as part of fun.

You can see many traders also giving free tips on trading calls. But that is with reason of creating new market wave. Unlike betting, when more traders do take similar decisions then they can bring new changes.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I won $123 for few minutes on: October 14, 2017, 11:59:05 AM
Congratulations for your winning. You are sharing your strategy and again thank you for your generousness. But I wonder how often you are doing with your strategy and how much you have won so far with that particular strategy ?
Winning for one day and shouting as a good strategy will be very much similar to misguiding innocent gamblers here. Please do not do that.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sex sells, but what about the coin? on: October 14, 2017, 11:36:56 AM
10: Does the coin have titz or an Azz
20: If YES go to 30, otherwise go to 40
30: WHAMBAM Thank you MAM. YEZZZZZ...
40: NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO LIMIT to NO
Ha ha! You killed it man!! I have bumped into so many coins depicting themselves as some coins for adult project or something and I really started wondering the point behind such project if it isn't just a pure joke. What do I want to do with it? Pay for sex or what ? That sounds more shitty than I can imagine and your response just nailed it.

However, who knows, you might be surprised at how some of them might make some move in the market Grin ... the sound of sex may sell after all.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What cryptocurrency should I invest in with 50 USD? on: October 14, 2017, 11:01:12 AM
Thank you all!

I've already took part in several bounty campaigns and waiting for results Tongue
Nice move! I was going to ask you why waste your time looking for alts when you can just keep holding the little you have now in your BTC wallet while you can join bounty campaigns and be a part of the ICOs of some of the projects and watch out as they grow in the market at the long run, then I read through the thread to see you are a very smart newbie. Grin At least with this you have so much to gain and nothing to lose.
