OK, so after I don't know how many years I recovered the Tesla wallet. Here's a few things I noticed. The wallet hangs for like 5 minutes rescanning (whatever that means) when you start. I had a password on the old wallet.dat file and couldn't get in so i kept trying and finally one password worked so i'm in. I sent some coin to the exhcange and sold some.

My question now is should I sell or hold? What team does Tesla have and what's the plan? In other words where are the chance my coins will be worth something in 5 / 6 months?

OK, thanks for the help I'm back (I only sold 0.2% of my stash more to just make sure they are the real thing).

Ok, do what you can/want, it's your finances (I mean you're responsible for your own decisions). My point of view is that it's foolish to get out of TES now. I've been with this coin since day one, and already made a bunch of BTCs trading it during pumps and whatnot, but always re-bought in to keep my holdings. The first TES I mined and sold back in the days went for more than 1500 sat. There is still large holders, and they hold for a reason.

The only unknown part is when the tech part is going to be arranged. Some holders have great ideas to promote the coin. The Altcoin market is going literally crazy nowadays, even some useless old shitcoins are going to the moon every other day.

===> It's going to be TES' turn at some point.

We just need the backend to be strong before we can promote like MF.

I'm personally anxious to get news from TES busy devs to see what's next.

On another note I would like to share that I think we'll be seeing some action very soon trade-wise. I'm constently monitoring TES'price and some people are accumulating. Wouldn't be surprised to see large upward moves very soon. Don't forget that TES should be worth around 10x what it is now. The day devs manage to finish polishing things up (wallets working perfectly on all OS) we'll see some crazy things happening.

I feel bad I don't know shit about coding and wallets etc... I would be working on this night and day to make this coin back where it belongs, collecting the rewards than go with it.

I have downloaded the latest wallet and config file changed and the bootstrap but when I start the Tesla QT it just hangs there and the icon says:

Rescanning

and just hangs I had to kill the program.

Any ideas what I can do?

Thanks.

Hey there!

If you follow exactly all the instructions given here everything should work fine. Just one thing: don't forget to wait, like to wait a long time. My wallet has been slow lately, showing connexions but being "stuck" at a block from 1h before. Then at some point it just gets back to normal and sync all of a sudden to current block.

Last night I tried to send some coins and they wouldn't confirm, yet they arrived to the exchange this morning and got confirmed on the exchange. My wallet still shows them as 0 confirmation.

My point is I feel like things are not running smoothly but they are still working.

Hey guys,

I have weird stuff going on with my wallet:

I sent coins but there is no confirmations from the wallet (last version of wallet fully synched) and no pending transactions on the exchange where I sent the coins.

Now my balance shows as 0 Emc2, I checked on the block explorer and it says I still have the coins in the wallet, the txid of the withdraw doesn't even exist.

Can anyone help please?

Thanks so much in advance

Hey guys!

My problem is still on, and I would really appreciate some help!

I have the latest wallet, fully synced. I sent 3 EMC to the same address to make sure everything was fine, and they arrived and got confirmed on both ends. After that I sent 47000 EMC to the same address, nothing arrived, and the tx has 0 confirmation after 48h. Now my wallet shows 0 balance, and the Txid doesn't "exist" in the block explorer.

Even weirder, my EMC address shows a positive balance in the blockchain and shows the 3EMC tx that I sent as a test as 50 EMC.

What is going on ? I have had like 20 different Qt wallets for different coins, I have never seen that.

Finally, I can't do "-repairwallet" or "-rescan" like this in the debug log, those commands don't work and don't even show up in the help section of the debug log.

Please help if you can! Thanks!

For the -rescan:
    right-click on the wallet
    select properties
in the target line at the end of if, add -rescan
    click "apply"
    restart your wallet

That's how i've make it work in the past

Thank you for your help! Unfortunately after finding how to "rescan" I didn't get any result out of it. Still 0 coins in the wallet, 0 confirmation on the transaction, and 0 coin on the exchange.

Thanks again

Hi everyone!

I just ran into your project and read a lot about it, it looks really promising!

I was about to start contributing when I saw in the tutorial than you need to check that you're not a US citizen nor US resident. Why can't I participate if I live in the US? Is it a legal reason? Is it a big deal if I accidentally click that I'm not a resident, send you money, and we're all happy about it?

I would love to know the reason behind it in order to make a decision to follow or not the rules.

Thanks for your answer!
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] leonArdo - Bitcoin Trading Bot for Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitstamp, Bitfinex.. on: June 03, 2017, 06:10:17 PM
I just downloaded the demo, and so far I don't really get how to set it to properly for it to make a lot of trades playing on the up and downs in high volume markets.

I gave it a try with digibyte that is currently going through the roof and still managed to loose my trial "fake" money!

Is there any tutorial made by someone not tied up with the company (I understand you can't give trading advice) or someone that could explain how to set it up to make profits? Or can anyone that uses this bot explain their strategies for information purposes only?

I'm totally willing to buy it (TODAY BTW), but if I can't make profit on the demo version, well...

Another question: Is there a community who uses this bot that share insights and trading ideas?

Thank you for any insight!

Hey guys!

What can we do to help TES?

I see all altcoins going through the roof and TES is not moving since we got out of Bittrex. I've been with this coin since day 1 and I'm kind of desapointed that it's not getting the attention it should.

Let me know how I can help, TES should be above 1k sat, and I want to make it happen sooner than later.

Thanks!

I can't believe I didn't invest in this coin early!

Any other promising coin in its very early stage to invest in?
992  Economy / Services / Re: ~~~WAVES~~~Signature Campaign~~~ on: June 01, 2017, 07:12:47 PM
What is bitcoin talk UID ?

The BtcTalk Uid is a number connected to your username in the forum. To find it you need to go to your forum profile and click on "summary" on the left side menu of the screen. Then, check out the URL bar and in the link you'll find something like "U=123456" within the URL address, in this example 123456 being your Uid. Copy it and past it to finish the registration to the program.

I hope it helps, have a good day Smiley

994  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 05:06:03 PM
All these years we were pampered by centralized services. Some of us are sometimes incapable of taking care of our most precious possessions.
We would rather trust 3rd party to keep our money safe than believe in ourselves.

Op, your total loss was that 3.5 BTC?

I know it is too late now, but what wrong is with keeping copy of your passphrase stored in multiple places in your house?
You don't trust your family?

Yes, total loss is 3,47 BTC.

I totally trust my family 100000%, but somehow I felt like I would never forget a password that I created for 3 reasons:

- I have (now I look stupid saying that) very good memory.
- I'm the "organized" type. Never loose a thing, never forget appointements etc...
- Back when I got into bitcoin, I didn't feel like I could ever loose this password, because I've used the "skeleton" so much in my life that I just had to remember the "wallet variation" I had created.

Bottomline, I know most of it, but there is too many possibilities of cap letters, numbers used or not, that even a pro cracker didn't manage to crack....
995  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 04:24:21 PM

If so you should probably take it out of your signature.

i see zero bitcoin there, can't be that, how many coin you lost with this password that you forgot? because i find also some times that i'm too paranoid, but not for small amount, but for big amount i usually keep them in cold storage to avoid any real trouble

I lost ALL the BTC I ever accumulated in 3+ years without spending more than .10 of them(Mining alt coins and selling them). 3,47 BTC to be exact.
996  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 04:22:22 PM
Did you lose the private key to 1DGLZ2cDMrUPor4CmWxjsVzzYSyimUUYbC?

If so you should probably take it out of your signature.

i see zero bitcoin there, can't be that

Lol, yeah that's the online empty wallet I have access to...
997  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 04:17:14 PM
thats a nightmare i would never want to have but from my experience of forgetting passwords like atm pins i believe you just need to give your self time and not panic...

trust me something along the way will trigger that memory and you will get back on track, hope you recover the treasure mate good luck.

Thanks! Sometimes I dream that I find it back, rush to my computer and try it without any luck, but yeah, who knows maybe it will pop out of my memory...
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 04:13:07 PM
Hey guys,

I just want to share my story, because I feel like only people in this community can get that,

We all know the pizza story, the "young swede than became a millionaire in 2013" story, the lost hard drive story and this one that can happen to anyone:

======>I lost my passphrase. 6months ago, tried everything, even hired "bitcoin dave", nope, nothing, no password no bitcoin.

I was too scared to get hacked somehow or to let a piece of paper with indications about it... Now I'm screwed, I can't find it, no matter what I try my Bitcoins are lost forever. I always kept them, spent .10 of them once and that's it. All of my fortune behind this password was made through mining dogecoin on day one and other altcoins. And guess what, I lost the passphrase to the dogecoins too (1million Doge, could be worse)...
6 months ago I had a little financial down moment, decided to see if I could sell one, and discovered that I forgot the password.

Now, it would be the thing to save my ass (3,5 BTC is a good chunk of change for me) and be able to get back on my feet, and I feel so stupid.

Just wanted to share my experience, kinda looking for mental support here!

Take care (and remind yourself your passphrase everyday, you don't want this feeling I swear).

Oh my god, I really wish this turns out one bad dream and reality changes. Mind if I ask you why did you not note it somewhere. I use multiple passwords for all sites and I have made a diary for it. Or you could have kept it in a note app and lock. At the end words may not be able to console you but all I can say be positive, who knows you will earn double what went away.

Now what happens to those coins? Are they lost forever? Or will someone else recover them?

Nope, I was too scared to get hacked somehow, so no written trace of any kind for the password. Yes, the coins are lost forever or until someone with a super powerful computer can crack open the wallet (someone has a service to do that, I hired him and he couldn't find it). Either way right now, today, I'm pretty screwed.
999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 30, 2017, 03:01:35 PM
Thanks everyone for feeling sorry!!

I'm glad this makes some of you double check their password & maybe will prevent that from happening to you Smiley
1000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ANY BTC HOLDER WORST NIGHTMARE, and it happened to me... on: April 29, 2017, 11:44:31 PM
Perhaps this is a job for the Large Bitcoin Collider... well, maybe someday.

And the coins are on a BTC core wallet, on my laptop. Had made usb copies of my .dat at first but they're encrypted as well.

I pretty much tried everything, even the scripts made to try millions of possibilities from what you input.

No luck.

I've read a similar story, except after months of trying one of the scripts hit it -- after he had pretty much given up hope. Maybe you already have seen that story? If I were you I'd set up a small but dedicated computer to keep trying possible passwords... at least that way there's some hope.

Yeah, every once in a while I try to run a few "new" tries... Or in the morning after "dreaming" that I found the pass...

Also, I'm the kind of guy that never loses his keys, forgets an appointment or else. I guess in 30+ years that's the first major thing I forget :,(

Sometimes I even feel like someone hacked it and changed the password, because I really feel like I tried everything!

Thanks for your messages though guys, I appreciate it, makes me feel like it's legit of me to be sad!
