Lending money to people is a risky business and to mitigate your risks you have to go the extra mile in knowing more about this person you want to give your loan to, so I don't see any issue with that. Before you go applying for loan you have to give some information about yourself and still you have to be of good records, if you don't like that then avoid taking loans.
Why will a normal person apply for a loan with the intention of not paying back, I call that act stealing. Knowing more about the person is never enough if am lending someone money that person must drop at least one of his valuable property as collateral or else I don't see any reason of giving my money out. |

We had this argument where I was the opinion that most men spend money on things that they are obligated to and cannot control it at times due to responsibilities, men are used to spending money already and because of being used to it, they can find it hard to be as economical as women can be. If we're going to check if men are the ones who can't control themselves and have bad spending habits, we check the top 10 richest persons in the world because all of them are men. Things like this are attributed to bad government and poor economy.

I don't know what to say, but BTC is not free from imperfections, it still has many scalability issues, which have already discussed so many times here, I will just mention some old threads here for your understanding of those issues.

It all depends on the person you're gifting (wife) if she does not like it she will not have value for it. For me you did an excellent job by gifting your wife half of your bitcoin because bitcoin is precious and valuable to me but I don't know for someone else.
