981  Economy / Economics / Re: popularity of bitcoin dictates demand, means more profit on: December 12, 2017, 01:17:04 PM
in my opinion, this is what happening right now as the trend of bitcoin price has been sky rocketing.  what do you think affects the price increase of bitcoin today?
The main reason the demand is increasing right now is because new investors are coming in and they are expecting a lot from it. I cannot say yet how long this will keep up though, but the whole speculation going on in the media and the flashes on investor's eyes and the possibilities of bitcoin increasing even further has made a whole lot of investors to want to be a part of it.
982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage on: December 09, 2017, 12:31:08 PM
Arbitrage strategy is legal to do in every crypto currency exchange.
Arbitrage is good strategy with almost 80% till 90% we close the transaction with profit.
And the only problem is when you send any coin and it need long time to confirm the transaction and during the time, you will stay in loss if the price down.
That last part is what can really be crazy about arbitrage. I have not really done much arbitrage anyway, so I cannot really say how people tend to pull that off. I am sure there are some coins one may have to watch out for on some of the exchanges most especially when they get dumped badly by a big holder on one particular exchange which may not quickly reflect on others. I may actually give it a try one of these days.

There is nothing wrong with arbitrage and no one is definitely going to put you in jail for it. It is just to take advantage of those discrepancies to make some bucks for yourself.

You have to consider however that it is not that easy to do arbitrage trading except the margin between the two coins is pretty wide. If that is the case, you can at least make something good despite the transaction fee removal as well as the time frame of transaction.
983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start with Bitcoin or Ethereum on: December 09, 2017, 11:46:10 AM
Well i really recommend bitcoin, if you're gonna start trading bitcoin is much more easier to handle just hold it for long term and you'll gonna profit big time, ETH is good too but it's not much big profit like bitcoin if you're gonna hold eth and if you're just starting trading just by holding them as long term is the best idea while learning daily trading.
Even without holding and you are doing some pretty regular trading, you can still make some good bucks from bitcoin.

It is a crazy and risky coin to trade, but you can get some good profit from the volatility if you are good with trading. Anyone can just start with any of these coins and even the two as they are totally different market and the same analysis most times do not apply, but they can be good for both short and long term.
984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump and Dump. How to make a profit? on: December 09, 2017, 04:41:18 AM
Hi. How can you recognize pumps and dumps for any coin? Is there any universal indicators? I mean to predict it. Maybe there are some non-market signs (banners, posts, etc.)
Should I avoid pumps and dumps or try to earn some money?
It would be interesting to know your opinion, guys! Thanks
You cant verify wether its dump or pump if youre starting here but if you did your research or you have joined it long time or some not long but enough to understand the growing value you might distinguish it easily.Take a look at the rates and value about one month ago and youll see the value's so high lately now then if youre trying to invest some money you have you might invest now if its still rising cause it is still growing popular. Users have a great impact on bitcoin just so you know.
Once you hit the charts, you can actually scan through different coins and see how you can tap into their dumps. It is always best buying at dips and setting a sell order without forgetting to make use of the stop loss in case things want to go bad.

Most of these coins have some period they get pumped by some groups and if you can use the chart to take advantage of those moments, you can make some pretty good profit.

Personally I am doing these: Just find an altcoin, look at the charts, see the activities and how long and often some quick pumps occur and try to blend in with it. However, you should be careful for some occasions where the market is getting red, so you do not end up holding a coin that would get squashed from the bloodbath in the long run. Pump and dump coins should not be coins you should be comfortable holding for long.
985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA to be listed on Bittrex soon, time to buy on: December 09, 2017, 04:01:41 AM
indeed a good news but maybe on the first days of listing we will see a price drop because price movements in these last two weeks has been insane and someone will try to get profit

in the long run could potentially be in top 3 in my opinion
The price drop is even imminent. So far though, it has really had some pretty good run and that is not a small run at all.

It should do well for itself in the future. It is a good project and anything can still happen, but for now, I would rather take my time for the whole frenzy to die down and get in, than trying to be a FOMO now. Now that it has dusted some Coins from their positions, we just have to see how far the bull run continues.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose the right ICO? on: December 09, 2017, 02:56:39 AM
Pay attention on  advertising, developers, blockchain of ICO (very often it can not provide the idea of the project), opportunity to use in life
That and do research about team members.
Look for projects where lots money is invested already.
Wait for dump after ICO ends.
Then buy.
The team members are like the backbone of every project. The project may sound or look good in the eye but without a good team, it may not reach the certain point that looks perfect for investors to make some real good cash.
As long as the team is good, they will surely always come up with a good project and work very hard to make it fly. Good team always believes they are indebted to their investors which is why you just cannot miss it.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I am ANGRY!!! Why certain coins are exploding??? on: December 09, 2017, 02:24:33 AM
Hi all

I am so angry. I got into crypto on 1st June.

I bought some BTC

But I really dont understand why MONA .. YOYOW Huh

WTF!!!!

I don't know why certain coins are exploding.. Please help me understand how is this happening?

My only earnings have been through BTC

Huh?

So confused .. need suggestions.. Enlighten me.. Don't sell me BullShit please.. just plain truth
If you held on to your bitcoin, then you should have done the best.
I was unlucky enough to buy so many bitcoins only to convert them to altcoins.
I ended up having some of this issue in the past and at the end, some of the coins ended up losing value when they started getting dumped when everyone was looking forward to get in on the BTC move.

After all, for now, I guess I just prefer staying on the bitcoin training, holding some few Altcoins with some huge prospects in my wallet and looking forward to them in the long run. That way, at least I know bitcoin keeps giving me some steady good push to the moon.
988  Economy / Marketplace / Re: I only have 200$ per month ! on: December 08, 2017, 08:05:19 PM
Many people started their crypto journey, with a smaller amount of money.

Invest in coins that haven't pumped yet.
Don't buy tops.
Don't buy greens. Buy the red sell the green.

Invest in good projects that are still in cents.
Eg Dgb. It is one undervalued coin that is likely to do very well in the coming year. Get in when it's lower than 120 SATs. It has the prospect of going 5 times higher.

Pivx is a good project too.
Lastly, diversify your portfolio into many coins. Mayor 4 or there about. In few months your portfolio would have grown.
It does not have to be a huge amount of money really and that is the mistake a lot of people keep making. If the OP invested that $200 in 2010 and decided to keep a blind eye on the volatility up till this moment, then you all will know that it is something that would be worth it.

No one knows the future of bitcoin, but at least at this stage, there is a guarantee that bitcoin is here to stay no matter what people or finance punks want to say about it. I would rather invest the $200 and wait for some years to really know other things I may want to do with it to keep it growing.
989  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Turning crypto into fiat or is that even nessesary anymore! on: December 08, 2017, 07:42:01 PM
Well you can do a lot things online, but currently you cant buy a car or a house into the most places, even with some people already doing thise business is quite limited, and very and few people dealing this ways, you can always exchange low ammount to fiat without pay a tax, but if you have a big ammount you will loose a fee to the country, thats why they are forcing exchanges to expose bitcoin traders, if those happen it will be the end of such exchanges.
What would exchanges want to expose bitcoin traders? The thing is as long as you can place the source of your money, you have nothing to be worried about and the reason why most exchanges are KYC compliant is so they can stick to the regulations and policies of the government to track down any evil doer.

If you are a business man and you receive your funds in bitcoin and decide to cash out via exchange, which will hold you and even if an alert is sent to the law enforcement agencies, you can prove your income.
990  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin - new Business Opportunities on: December 08, 2017, 07:26:11 PM
bitcoin is good opportunity for the business process and investment. Bitcoin helpful to start the business or work with bitcoin process. It will give more opportunity for the improve your life and skills. You save the bitcoin then you will invest the business or any process. so it will give some information it will help to plan to work and process.
Of course. For those who invested in bitcoin earlier at least some tangible amount which has made them extremely rich right now. It would be so easy for them to do some offline businesses and set up something big for themselves even if it does not have to be within the crypto atmosphere.

Aside these, when it comes to exchanges (local and global), some sweet services you can render, and then Bitcoin has really brought so many opportunities even within the industry.
991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC above 150 USD in February 2018? on: December 07, 2017, 04:07:39 PM
I think 120-130 $ in February
150-160 $ in June
I wonder if there is TA or some other analysis for this thing. Anyways, 120-130 would be great because it means 20-30 percent profit in a cooupla months Smiley
The only TA or analysis now is based on the chart and the present trend, but looking at the past trends unless it is a trend that is about to change $120 - $130 sounds reasonable. It is still very far and the truth is that no one can really say what can happen, but for now, we just have to keep moving with the flow of things until we end up at that point.

It is above 100 USD and keeping it there. I would like to believe that my posts have something to do with it. I had a little amount I bought at 50 USD and then I bought some more at 103 USD Smiley Now I think it will be 150 in February 2018.
I won't be surprised. LTC has really had some major push upward lately and I can say it has been having some pretty good trend upward even though it has been consistent. $150 is quite possible if it keeps moving in that pace. For now, we cannot really say much. Although the crypto space is really having some improvements lately, even better than before, so anything can happen.
992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you think its now the time to sell bitcoin? on: December 06, 2017, 06:54:31 PM
I guess we would just hold it first for a while. No buying and no selling. Just observe the flow of the volatility of bitcoin. This will lessen the probability of loss.
Observing the flow for someone who is already panicking will not even solve any problem as that would make the person in question to even panic the more. Holding is the best and anyone who is basically not ready for that should not even bother investing in the first place.

Bitcoin is volatile and we will always get to see this moments and when the price gets so much down, simple thing is buy more if you have the cash or wait for it to get back up if you do not have any cash to buy more at that time.
993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you trade your crypto currency? on: December 06, 2017, 06:13:02 PM
You trade your coins/cryptocurrencies on an exchange similar to traditional online stock market exchanges. Best to be safe and stick with the well-known ones like the following:

-Poloniex
-Bittrex
-Binance
-Bitfinex

I suggest you do more google research before actually trading.
Nice exchanges you have mentioned there and I have been using bittrex for a while now without issues. Yet, being a newbie, you should better get verified first before putting any funds on bittrex so you do not get locked out as some are having it presently.

We cannot start telling you how we trade and how it works, you just have to hit the books and learn and there are so many resources you can make use of if you are eager like some people have rightly said.
994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: minimum amount to start trading? on: December 06, 2017, 05:36:10 PM
the amount that we need to start with is not fixed, it depends on the type of the trade. Everything is related to the other.
although it is depending on the type of trade but still if you have good amount of money you have more chances to make good profit from it. But if you are very new then you should invest small amount of money because being inexperience you can lose your money in no time. I think saving bitcoin for long term is also a good idea for those people who have little experience in trading, In fact trading require a good experience and trading skill which can only be et through spending good time.
Yes, trading differs, but traders differ as well. You have to understand that no matter what, you just have to be good at trading to be able to earn something good from it. Good amount of money always help no doubt, but you still have to try as much as possible to do it well, so you do not end up losing those amount of money. Big or little, you can still do well in trading if you are good.

You can start trading with any amount. But in my opinion, it would be better to start a trade with $ 200.When you can understand the trade slowly, you can invest in large quantities. You have less risk of losing it.Always research on the trade. Hope you will get good results.
$200 is not a small amount of money to start trading within the first place anyway. I have seen a whole lot of people who have been able to double their 200 and so on without issues trading alts. You just have to understand your market and be able to make some good decisions when trading them. Chart studying helps a lot but still you have to not get too comfortable.
995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Volatility on: December 06, 2017, 03:31:01 PM
Not stable is maybe the bad feature for currency but it becomes the huge advantage of crypto currency because it makes profits for investors.
I would not see instability as a bad feature. It is just a normal thing that should be expected. Crypto on the other hand is still very much new and which is why we are seeing some huge level of peaks and dumps in a short while possible. It is even getting better now and no one can really say what the future holds, but it seems bright so far. Volatility will always continue but maybe at some point reduced compared to now, but can never halt and the strength of the market will determine its level.
996  Other / Archival / Re: Have you ever won a Jackpot? on: December 06, 2017, 02:54:00 PM
I won a slot machine progressive jackpot but didn't know I won until the lights didn't stop flashing so I knew something fell my way in the right direction. Wink
It was around $8000 worth in coins so it was a good amount just for spending $0.25 per line which was an 8 line slot machine. So $2 per roll which hit within 2 hours to get it.
You have made profit or you got into break even with that win?  Grin Just kidding...

That was really huge win with relatively small amount in bet, $8k is quite big hope you have make withdrawal after winning that rather than keep playing trying to hit another jackpot.

In which site you have won that?
Huge winnings like this are the type of winning that can make the winner sleepless for some number of days, most especially for someone who never imagined having such kind of money. I have dreamt of winning Jackpots in a big way and that is where it has all ended. I have never been that lucky even though I have always wished that one day I will, but we cannot always be lucky.

Hitting jackpot once in a life can prove too much valuable to the person who already has money enough to play and he will be able to continue stacking money in this fortunate game but one who already had limited money shouldn’t hit for a jackpot because if he is so unfortunate in winning the game, then he would have no way to continue. Jackpot can be life changing sometimes but life threatening also.
That is not true! Sometimes, you do not even have to put too much to win a Jackpot. You can go lower, except that your chances are low, but does not mean you cannot get lucky. I have never been that lucky though but I have seen some users of freebitco.in with very few lottery tickets winning as much as 2 BTC before than even those with huge lottery tickets. It is a game of luck but the most important thing is never to play what you cannot afford to lose.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gamblers here who are in Debt ? on: December 06, 2017, 01:46:20 PM
Something that bothers me so much, is hearing people who aren't actual gamblers, brag/glamorize the whole gaming industry....  As if its fun, cool, etc....

I know they say it not understanding, but as a person who is excluded from 14 casinos in 3 different states, I will never understand how it became acceptable, yet drugs and alcohol are universally looked at as bad...

It's  a shame....

but anyways....

Good luck everyone
You really cannot blame anyone for the life they have chosen and the truth is that it amuses me too when I see people considering gambling as fun.

Gambling is just like a way to get all your funds sucked up and the only people benefiting from it are those who own the casinos, both offline and online while those who see it as fun or are trying to make quick money from it are just trying to manage with the little they have and end up dashing it all out to those who already have more than them. However, like I said, it is the world we live in and different strokes for different folks.
998  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN milestone 10000$. Continue to rise or not??? on: December 05, 2017, 06:20:31 AM
BTC BITCOIN milestone 10000$.  Continue to rise or not???

I heard the bitcoin now is continue to rise and rise rapidly . Do you think it will affect the value of ICO and some altcoins?
Looking at when you dropped this and now, I guess it is something we cannot really say.

Bitcoin has already passed the $10,000 stage, but I doubt if with the little correction right now, it is going to go back to hit above $15,000. I am highly astonished for now, and I just would not even care trying to see where bitcoin is headed to, but I guess we just have to see what happens from now.
999  Economy / Marketplace / Re: LOOKING TO INVEST MY LIFE SAVINGS NEED ADVICE on: December 05, 2017, 03:48:14 AM
Just invest it in crypto, but generally stick to those that are real like bitcoins, ethereum and the like. Don't go spending it on scammy ones that come and go. Stop looking at those fly by night ICOs. Do your due diligence before you even send your life's savings and you lose on that investment. Right now it's pretty hard to determine which investments are pretty good from those shitty ones so just be extremely careful.
There are so many alts that are undervalued right now and only if people can do some research to find them. Waves is one of them and in a short while I won’t be surprised if it ends up having the same boost Ethereum had this year in coming years. Not just waves, there are so many alts and even upcoming ICOs and it is all about being smart.

Like someone rightly tells me, you do not have to work hard; you just have to work smart. I would not consider investing life savings into being smart though as you also have to consider all the risks involved.
1000  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalizing Bitcoin on: December 04, 2017, 05:01:55 PM
For most governments I think it is not that simple.

First because many people know the word "bitcoin" but not what it represents actually. Then, because allowing such currency means necessarily acknowledging the existence of the iceberg of transactions around bitcoin. Not that easy.

Legalizing bitcoin would be indeed really interesting but I think most governments are not ready  Grin
Even if most governments are ready, it is one step they are trying to cautiously take so they would not end up creating too much attention than necessary for it.

Most governments know they cannot stop bitcoin and the blockchain technology is very promising, which is why we see that rather than coming out openly, they are silently regulating the exchanges while just the few who are using it are monitored through the exchanges and legalizing it will cause more enthusiasts to rush in.
