Manchester United is also a club with good history but they're already having the worst season ever which we have already. Barcelona are far better than Napoli. Napoli are no match to Barcelona not even in the slightest way possible. Barcelona are just going through a very though phase honestly, if not that, talks about it wouldn't even pop up. Napoli don't have a good coach, Walter Mazzari is not someone they'll want to boast for, he's a poor coach honestly. I feel like Xavi Hernandez is a more tactical and sound manager than him. Don't use the position in the La Liga to judge them, rather use them currentl form to measure how they will perform in the Champions League come February. We cannot really say that Barcelona are far better than Napoli. They are struggling in the league and are dropping points here and there. They just struggled Yesterday against Almeria, which is the last team in the La Liga. Barcelona's current form is not that great. Napoli's current form is also not that great either. It is true that Barcelona has an edge, but Napoli are not going to give them win that easily. Barcelona's defense line and forwards really need some work. Napoli suffered a big defeat against Frosinone as well. Last season Barcelona beat Napoli and Napoli would be hungry to get that revenge. It is anyone's game. And as I have said, this is the Champions League and this brings the best out of everyone. So you cannot really say that Barcelona are going to get that win very easily. |

Joel Embiid really went off yesterday. Scoring 51 points against a team with the best record in the NBA and likely defensive player of the year. I’m actually impressed. I was thinking it would go the other way and Embiid would struggle and his team would lose. That was one of those games people get reminded about when the MVP voting starts.
I think I can say that Joel Embiid actually single-handedly was able to win them the match. Of course, he had support from another player, Maxey. However dropping 51 points in a single match is definitely something to appreciate. Well, it is pretty sure that if he actually did struggle, his team would have lost. But of course the opposite happened. He was able to score and his team was able to win without any problem, to be honest. The team definitely got the win because of him. |

After a landslide victory at home against Bochum, Leverkusen became the first team in German football history to go unbeaten in the first 25 matches of a season. This is very impressive and don't forget, it's all thanks to the cold hands of Xabi Alonso as their coach and this is not luck because it has gone through everything related to luck and this is purely Xabi Alonso's ability.
From 25 matches, Leverkusen achieved 22 wins, 3 draws and 0 losses and this is an achievement that is very difficult for any German team to break. The victory over Bochum also made Leverkusen firmly at the top with 42 points and just below it was Bayern Munich with 38 points. The gap is quite good at 5 points and Leverkusen will definitely not let Bayern Munich walk freely this season and they will continue to win and maintain their unbeaten record.
They are not actually 5 points ahead, they are 1 point ahead of Bayern Munich thinking practically. Bayern Munich has played 1 match less. What Leverkusen did is very hard to achieve for any team in the world. Leverkusen got the consistency to take this whole thing. Bayern Munich's loss against Frankfurt put them on the back foot. If they hadn't lost that match, Bayern would have been ahead now. I think this trophy will be decided by the match between Bayern and Leverkusen. Whoever gets the W in that match, will get ahead. No team would be dropping points. It is going to be very interesting what happens next in the Bundesliga. The Bundesliga is very exciting after a lot of years. Bayern got themselves a good opponent. |

Barcelona have also been inconsistent this season, especially in the LaLiga, but mind you that every match in the CL RO16 is going to be tough, i understand that some teams are underdogs when you compare them to their oppositions, but in the two games you highlighted above, neither of those teans are underdogs, it is going to be a 50-50 game that anybody can win. Barcelona and Arsenal are very much beatable, and it would be a mistake to write off Napoli and Porto.
Napoli and Barcelona this season do not look as good as they did last season, but as we remember, Barcelona in the last Champions League could not even get out of the group, this season they were more lucky with their opponents, but now they are weaker, so compare them with Arsenal is difficult. Porto remains a dark horse, but I would still classify them as a strong middle team rather than a top club. The match Between Barcelona and Napoli is going to be 50-50. Both Barcelona and Napoli have been looking inconsistent in their performances. Barcelona will be in the 4th position if Atletico Madrid wins their next game and Napoli is in the 5th position. But it's the Champions League and it brings the best out of every team. I would say Barcelona will have an edge in this match as they are a club with history and their fans will push them for victory. Key players from both teams need to perform.
