I lost access to my old blockchain lm blocked on my old email account anyone know how to get it back?
Didn't understand what you said, assuming that you don't have a sold in your b.io but you already staked your old address here and you cannot sign anymore a message. Just quote your previous post, tell everyone that you lost access to it and sign a new message with your new address. If it isn't the case then this isn't the proper board to ask your question in it.

983  Other / Meta / Re: It's all about merits. on: March 10, 2018, 07:05:29 AM
Im just a newbie with less experience and knowledge bout this. I've read that merits is what makes your rank up. Is that correct or did I just misread it? 😂

Thank you Smiley

No as you know, you just didn't understand theymos joke about merit.
Dozens of merit topics and thousands of replies created talking about the merit system and the ranking, after all of that do you think it isn't correct?

Edit :
BTW, can an automated exam be created here to pass from newbie to junior member? It should contains simple questions about ranking & merit system mainly, if you fail to pass the test, you couldn't be a junior and you should wait 14 days before passing it again.
Junior member will require 1 smerit, they couldn't receive any smerit until they get 1 from the test which can be done whenever they want starting from brand new.

hello admin,
My post activity is 126.But still in the member position can you please explain me.

Your inability to read the information provided and unnecessary use of coloured text. Those two factors together mean you are destined to remain at Member rank forever.

Too much tolerance... A hammer should be used in these shitty cases.
1 liner altcoins marketplace & bounties posts then he post the same stupid question in two different topics...wonder see 0 activity for the bounties sub (and a red card)...

Would you trust someone who has been arrested for the below?

* Possess/Manufacture/Sell Dangerous Weapon
* Take Vehicle Without Owner Consent

If the vehicle is owned by a relative and the thing is doing is kind of urgent or should be done so fast (injury, pregnant women in labor...) so it is ok, otherwise I will blame him but I will give him a second chance.
For weapons definitely no, just in 2 cases : chasing dangerous animals (if you know what I mean) or possessing dangerous weapons in school by st... teachers, well another bonus exception is a mentally retarded guy possessing that toy in the white house since it is supported there.

tl;dr : it depends, case by case.
986  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-05] US Marshals to Sell $25 Million in Bitcoin at Auction on: March 08, 2018, 04:25:22 PM
It's funny. The us government says bitcoin is a bubble. They say that this is a Scam, but at the same time arranged an auction for the sale of bitcoins. It turns out that they recognize that bitcoin is a commodity that brings them huge profits. Or participants in the fraudulent scheme. What version do you think they'll choose?

I think that i already read a title of an article saying that the US is considering Bitcoin as a commodity.
You know where you find money, you find the government (oil, gold & uranium mines, Bitcoin...), hopefully for Kim that he doesn't own anything valuable tho else he will join the fallen club.
987  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-08] Possible Hack Of Third-Party Tools Affects Binance Exchange Users on: March 08, 2018, 10:55:08 AM
I heard that the problem was with those accounts that used to trade the robot. The exchange wasn't hacked. I'm against people using robots. For this reason, I am not sorry for those who suffered from third-party software. I have no such problems. I in General would forbid trade on the exchange with use of robots.

Well, being hacked is a catastrophic failure for these users..Using a third party tools isn't that clever idea especially for your main account even if its source is highly trusted.
I would prefer using a second account with a fixed amount that i am ready to lose at any moment, but euh you cannot reverse what happened..

It is up to users to verify before engaging in anything suspicious. Twitter, Facebook or any other social media cannot delete all the scam nor even detect most of it.
The example cited by CNN is an obvious scam and everyone falling into it should pay a fine for being too stupid! Fake account, stupid pic, send me your coins so I can "double" it!!
Next time a fake account of Bill Gates will offer a bitcoin "generator" for 1 BTC?

Wouldn't miss this opportunity to say SIR TMAN thank you SIR for this great topic and for helping us to level up SIR.
I think SIR that you need to check plagiarism and Google images SIR. I hope i pissed you off SIR with this SIR thing (wonder know why they keep repeating it over and over btw Huh kind of human downgrading..)

A little bit serious, i don't give a x about merit but you are doing it the wrong way brah
(r/ANormalDayInRussia)

-snip-
While we will not be directly moderating this, I encourage people to give merit to posts that are objectively high-quality, not just posts that you agree with.
Better to open a topic asking people to put their useful HQ posts there, it works better and could help a lot of serious members. Of course, since it is not moderated you can do whatever you want but at least decrease the reward.
This is my opinion TMAN Smiley.
992  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-05] US Marshals to Sell $25 Million in Bitcoin at Auction on: March 06, 2018, 06:04:37 PM
No wonder these guys have undercover agents trapping unsuspected Bitcoin sellers in open markets. This is very profitable

for them to seize these coins.  Roll Eyes ...The Bitcoin price will not even flinch with a $25 000 000 sale, if these coins even reach

the exchanges. Most of the Silkroad coins went to long-term hoarders, so nothing happened to the price, when they were

sold.  Grin

That's right. With over $6 billion daily trading volume this sale will make a minor impact on Bitcoin price, if any. On the other hand, seeing today's red market I think maybe it is making an impact already. The thing is many people are either not aware of the daily trading volume or are not getting along with math very well. Those people start panic selling right after reading the news thinking that Bitcoin can crash a lot when the selling begins.

It is normal and i would say expected if ever we could link this red to the sale. People get afraid from everything they heard from the news, and hearing that a considerable amount will be add to the market, many of them will panic selling.
After all till we are above $10k, It is reassuring Wink
993  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-05] US Marshals to Sell $25 Million in Bitcoin at Auction on: March 06, 2018, 03:07:34 PM
The U.S. Marshals are set to auction off nearly $25 million worth of bitcoin later this month.

The government agency announced Monday that it will put approximately 2,170 bitcoins on the auction block, with the sale planned for March 19. Would-be bidders must submit a $200,000 deposit and complete the registration requirements by March 14 to participate, according to the Marshals Service.
-snip-

Huge volume will be auctioned with an enormous deposit so you can bet, this kind of stuff always worries me especially if it will have a direct impact on the bitcoin price..

Help me please. May I use my SegWit-address for verification my account? these adresses look like 1bc.....

Yes, addresses with bc1 could be verified with electrum, just put it in the correct form (including message, signature and of course the matching address)

I'm not sure if there's another thread for this already, or if this belongs in a different section. So basically I thought it would be helpful to post up your Bitcoin address in this thread in the event that your account gets compromised later on down the road. You can simply make a new alt account, sign the address that your original account posted here, and have irrefutable proof that you're the actual owner. It's not 100% guaranteed that you'll get your account back, but it's a pretty good start. Of course, if your account is compromised, the hacker could just come back to this thread and edit/delete whatever address you post here, so that's why I'm asking people to quote the address posted by the preceding user in this thread. Here's mine:

Here is my wallet address: 1KL3P6cVefkrhdo5aSz7o1LYKpAHAMJuAD

Electrum Wallet with 2FA didn't work for me (I think because it has some sort of multi-sig functionality), I had to make a regular wallet, I also did not choose Segwit, I thought it might not sign messeges as well.

Thank you Shorena for the lesson, I might translate your topic and post it in the Arabic sub-forum if I have the time (& if you don't mind of course).

Verified
You can sign a message with segwit addresses, meanwhile address starting with bc1 can't be verified by other wallets except electrum afaik.

I feel like I'm a new man now. So bless  Cheesy

Congrats, I don’t post much now, I like to be a creepy voyeur but I would like to rank up to Legendary soon.

Edit - When is the next Activity top up btw?

We know activity is updated every two weeks.  Last week activity was updated, so the next update of activity is next week (like Tuesday or Wednesday).

Tuesday March 13, 2018. I always put this link in my favourites to show me when periods starts

998  Other / Meta / Re: A quick calculus showing that more merit is needed on: March 05, 2018, 10:16:10 PM
The solution to this mess, which was chosen by theymos, is sources.
I am sure that an important part of the sMerit distributed will remain in its place because of dormant/not that active accounts which somehow will make things unbalanced, a little at least.
However, for the moment, sources number aren't that important and way less than the number of sections and of course subforums.
Having at least one source in a selected language for example could make 100% changes tho, however a place like bitcoin or altcoins discussion deserves more.
Having a limited number of sources is a crucial limitant factor..
I suggested another airdrop or at least refilling the sMerit count for members that shared their smerit with others (exception the abusers of course).
Well, we will see how things will turn later.
999  Other / Meta / Re: Should Legendary/Hero/Sr Members be de-ranked? Additional user ranks? on: March 05, 2018, 09:56:53 PM
I'm sure most of you have seen a few Sr/Hero/Legendary members that still continue to contribute nothing to the forum, or simply spam the forum with referral links, copy-pasted posts or otherwise low quality responses.
So, let's say that behaviours you said fit to 99% of the low ranks members VS 10%/30%/99%? of high ranks... Are you trying to make a comparison here between 1.000.000 VS hundreds of accounts?

Currently, a member will require an additional 90 merit to reach Full member, the rank at which people would assume you've at least got the basics of around things operate around here. However I suspect that if you check the amount of merit earned by Sr members+, probably less than 10% would have achieved this amount of merit since the introduction of the merit system over a month ago.
Probably? Give valid statistics and show me! I doubt that 10% of active junior members passed to the member rank if not 1%...
+ some people tend to refrain from giving legendary merit points and prefer giving it to low ranks.

Why should members who happened to register before the introduction of the new system be immune to the difficulties faced by new members?

Because we passed here more than 2-3 years to get our ranks? Because some people have thousands of old posts that could receive hundreds of merit before the update?
It is a long journey between senior member or even a hero to the legendary rank in which you can collect the required merit of the latest rank before even you have its required activity!

I would even go as far as to suggest that the merit system is almost completely useless once you reach Hero rank, as there is not much difference to make acquiring another 500 merit to go from Hero > Legendary worth it. Once you get to legendary it is definitely useless, as there is no end reward, maybe we should at least get an extra coin or something for the additional merit.
LOL'd. Are you talking about the reward in signature campaign...
Yeah, you can add a coin...just place as you want in your avatar...
Why are you so stressed about the ranks?...aww sorry.

I would suggest a way to resolve this would be to put upper level users on a probation system where they have to gain a certain number of merit over the probation period to maintain their rank, otherwise they get demoted. Also, I would also suggest creating an additional tier of user above Legendary that has additional privileges such as Ultimate or Diamond users at 1500 merit, something to give the old users something to strive towards. I know a probation period for all upper level members would probably cause a big uproar, but I do believe it would be in the best interest of the forum.
-snip-
blablabla
I would suggest to nuke users posting in altcoins sections. I would also suggest, if they aren't nuked of course, they should collect at least 100 merit per month in non-altcoins section to maintain the headache that this post gave me when I read it and of course I doesn't mean a word from these stupid ideas that I gave... Rofl. Sometimes I miss the first minutes of the merit system when you could use a bug to give...

I miss also account price estimator and its useful informations (if you know what I mean) Wink

once i received merit and my rank is upgraded if i send full/partial smerit to other will my rank downgrade are there any conditions on that
No you will no downgraded there i no conditions on this  Smiley

SMerit is used to reward other members, it could increase by half once you receive it from others and decrease when you sent it.
Merit doesn't decrease, it only increases so don't worry about it for the moment.
