I'm not sure what is exactly happening with the bitcoin prices because two major bitcoin exchanges are trading with big gap. But certainly we can say it is not the right time for profit booking but it seems prices are recovering from fluctuations and we can expect prices to break $1200 and $1225 levels again. Holding and adding up more investment are actions right now recommended because bitcoin prices are just showing usual fluctuations and in long-term perspective it is so stable for another rally. |

I am watching the price on both bitstamp and bitfinex (have no money nor bitcoin in either  ) and i see bitfinex is pulling up towards the $1200 meanwhile bitstamp is pulling it down towards the $1150 Before this till last January bitfinex was leading and bitstamp just followed it, after China's heavy regulations I found both of these exchanges got trading with less than $10 differences. But suddenly situations gone back to what was happening 3 months back, in wild assumptions again Chinese players get into action ? why nobody is doing any arbitrage trading.
We cannot be sure, it is already happening that is the reason prices converges over time. At the same time, like many folks shared here, it is too hard to rotate funds across exchanges so traders may ignore opportunities too. |

There's no secret in trading, what you need to do is dedicate enough time for learning the market of alt coins and as well as bitcoin.

I do not consider using any bot on my trading because for me the best way to be successful especially on trading is when you will going to be hands on to it. It means in trading it need mind of the trader because decision making is needed when you need to choose when is the best time to buy or sell.
It seems a convention that we must do trading manually. But we need to adopt new technology for making our life more comfortable by saving time and efforts. Trading bots are not just for ease of work but they are believing to be more effective than manual trading theoretically. I have not come across any of them, honestly searching them. In fact in trading to have a good trade you need to always monitor the price in which you can decide the time you will trade or hold your bitcoin to make a earning or additional investment.
For this reason only, people are looking for trading bots. No one could watch all the time markets for making trading calls, but bots will do. Still, I doubt about the versatility of programming codes the match the capability of human thinking and decision-making. |

Well thanks to some profitable deals and rises during the bitcoin price dropping the altcoins I hold now are more valuable, with eth, ripple and ltc going up as well they worth a lot more than what I initially put up. I have around 0.7 now which was 0.14 when I started it all. I did deposited some more tough, not sure how much but I think around 0.2 or so, basically turned 0.35 to 0.7 with just holding some altcoins.

I guess there are enough explanations about shorting and how we are doing it. I just want to know what are the exchanges supporting going for shorting in bitcoin trading /altcoin trading.
As per my understanding, shorting will be possible when trader vs trading house kind of trading platforms. But for the crypto currency exchanges, we are all having trader vs trader kind of trading platforms. I read somewhere bitfinex support shorting, but not sure as I never checked with them.
Forex trading is the right platform and easily available to everyone to check and learn about shorting. Because almost all the Forex brokers are providing free demo platform to get practice with all types of trading and trading tools.

Maybe when the right time comes and I've got the guts to fully invest everything that I've got then I will do it with bitcoin.
The waiting may not end in near future moreover literally you may need to wait infinitely. Because you must be having very typical criteria to define the right time for investing all with bitcoins. Still it is not recommended, going with bitcoin the maximum is suggested by many people and the right time is right now. I need to diversify my funds since I'm not that really rich and still needs to do proper budgeting.
I did some observations, in last 10 years the investing habit of technical people has been changing drastically and their diversification likely allows other investment in less percentage compared to bitcoin investment. |

I just invested in moneypot as well, 80700 bits, took out an hour later as 80000, quickest way to lose 700 satoshi without doing anything I saw.
If you want to lose money but don’t have to time lose all your money yourself and tired, just invest your coins to moneypot and go sleep, when you wake up gamblers would take it all and you will lose all your “investment”, we are basically giving our Money to gamblers. I am not so sure anymore about “house always wins” on moneypot.

Suddenly may people predicted here about $400 or $450 also and it happened but did hold but that was the beginning stage of what current rally have achieved. One thing we are all sure about is higher price for bitcoins over time due to increasing popularity/adoption/demand and limited cap. So, we can always think about next-next targets and it may hit one day but may not within next rally itself. I believe everyone could be sage here because bitcoin fundamentally has huge price promise. |

Every money that goes into altcoin is pure speculation.
Altcouins are backed up by nothing. Bitcoin can be used as payment, but i do not remember that I have seen more than two shops accepting a any other coin than bitcoin.
That's why I think sooner or later the money that goes into alt will go out of it again. Maybe into btc, maybe back in fiat.
Nearly no merchants actually accept Bitcoin, and those that do only get a select few customers who pay in Bitcoin. You go to big cities, a couple of shops that you searched for happen to accept Bitcoin and then you've decided it has serious adoption when it doesn't. Altcoins are backed by their potential use, which is the same reason that Bitcoin is backed (plus the "digital gold" thing). Where do you live ? But regardless of your geolocation, I guess you may find enormous number of bitcoin accepting merchants online. But still you are talking no merchants accepts, how ? I believe I could buy everything which are needed for my living with bitcoin payments. Cryptocurrency market is right now booming, no doubts on that but the reasons would be insignificant in my opinion. Because not just individuals pushing it but the community, when there are big number of people taking same decisions then there will be no wonder, some jokes also being considered as a serious investment vehicles. |
