9841  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: November 19, 2017, 07:52:39 PM
The DeepOnion bounty (it's not really an airdrop) was really nice until they changed the rules. Now I'm not too keen.
The DeepOnion airdrop is actually pretty cool though I have not signed up for it. Heard from a couple of friends that it is awesome and they each made several hundreds of dollars with minimum time investment which peaked my interest. Went over to their ANN and observed that it is a bounty campaign and not an airdrop, but I find no problem with that. Still not better than the epic bounty campaign by Populous token though.
9842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why So Many ICOs — What Does It All Mean? on: November 18, 2017, 08:26:35 PM
Many ICOs means a lot of scam, people are just creating coins just for the money's sake and not developing anything not having a good product and developers means a shit ICO easy money for the developers.
Completely agree with you here. I feel that majority of the ICOs these days are nothing but scams and very few ICOs are actually legit in my opinion. So many scammy ICOs are popping up these days in order to steal money from naive people and it is very easy to create your own token these days thanks to the ethereum blockchain. This problem can be reduced if Vitalik and his team find a way to suppress this problem.
9843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: November 18, 2017, 08:21:09 PM
If someone knew the answer to this question, I doubt they would stick around trying to answer this question in this forum. They would be partying like crazy into the night. The truth is that no one can say for sure which altcoin will make you rich op. Luck and smart thinking play a big role in determining if you will become rich or not. Do your research and pick the coin which you feel will blow up in the future. For me, it is Stellar Lumens all the way.
9844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What you did with your BTG ??? on: November 18, 2017, 08:17:30 PM
All my BTG coins are safe in my wallet and I will HODL them for a long term to earn profits in the long run since anything associated with bitcoin could blow up at any time according to me. If it drops in value, I don't have much to lose. If it rises, I will party like crazy. There are so many forks coming up and if I do receive some more forked versions of bitcoins, I will simply HODL them too.
9845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Laundering on: November 17, 2017, 07:04:25 PM
If you pay taxes on your bitcoin, which legally means you have to sell it off for USD. You are not a criminal. Until you sell they can't tax it. This is the same with capital gains and stocks.

If you use it to hide your illegal activities. Then yes you are a criminal.
Completely true. Some people refuse to pay their taxes even when they gain huge profits which classifies them as money launderers. Bitcoin was meant to provide a decentralized means of money exchange which got corrupted thanks to many scammers and hackers out there. The dark web is filled with people looking to launder money using bitcoin in different ways. Pay your taxes as responsible citizens people.
9846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: November 17, 2017, 07:00:28 PM
This is perhaps the longest thread I have come across? Correct me if I am wrong, thank you everyone! Keep it alive if you can!

I have seen longer threads. An example is the thread for Lisk which is well over 2000 right now.
I agree. There are a lot bigger threads than this one like the DeepOnion thread, Lisk thread and Dash thread is crazy. Dash thread is huge. This particular thread used to be great initially and legit airdrops were posted most of the time, but there are way too many scammy airdrops filled with referral links these days that I don't even bother checking such posts anymore. I hope this activity decreases with time somehow.
9847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum haven't really moved.. on: November 17, 2017, 06:55:38 PM
Ethereum price has moved from 8$ to 300$ in less than a year while BTC price has moved from around $1000 to $8000. I think Ethereum has since more gain then btc this year.
I agree with you here. Ethereum has grown quite a bit by a huge margin since the start of this year just like bitcoin and many other altcoins. I feel its growth has slowed down since Vitalik and the team are taking time to release the new features which is why investors are looking at other altcoins and bitcoin for short term profits. Once these features are released, I believe Ethereum will fly again to crazy levels. HODL. Cool
9848  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RIPPLE Spiking on: November 16, 2017, 07:13:43 PM
Who else invested in XRP and is smiling right now?

How long did you smile?  Yes it's up 12% from yesterday but the 40% pump only lasted two hours.  Ripple has great tech but I've been hearing how it's going to moon but I just don't see the catalyst.  The last thing banks want is a volatile currency to send around the globe.  Imagine the headache explaining why their books shifted by 50% overnight because their XRP currency moved around.  They're going to control the price to ensure consistent value.
I agree with you completely. XRP is a great crypto coin with tremendous potential thanks to its real life use cases, but the supply is its biggest coin and the problem is that the developers keep flooding the market with more and more xrp to reduce its value every month. These pumps and dumps are short spikes according to me and I am not expecting any big spike sometime soon.
9849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any bounty campaigns for Newbies? on: November 16, 2017, 07:00:30 PM
I see that op has already become a junior member which is good. You can apply for a lot of bounty campaigns thanks to your new ranking, but focus on posting high quality posts rather than low quality posts since that is what all the campaigns are mainly looking for. Just because you get selected for a campaign does not mean that you might get paid at the end. Your post quality matters and there is a chance the token which you are advertising might not be worth much at all. Just a risk which you need to take.
9850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop advice for newbies on: November 16, 2017, 06:53:54 PM
And there are some airdrops for bitcoins that require for you to give them your private key, i dont know why the people are giving their private keys to those scammy altcoins calling theirselves as "free airdrops" it is all bullshit.
Of course that once that the project decides to leave the scene, they will steal all the bitcoins, or tokens, or whatever is on the wallet that the people gave them the private key.
It is sad, but most of the airdrops are now scam, and there are more of them day by day, it is something that will never end.

Exactly this. Some people just blindly give away their private keys without even thinking twice without understanding how important they actually are. The newbies tend to make these mistakes often since they wish to join the airdrops in some way or another to get some quick profit, but instead incur quick losses due to such silly mistakes. Also, never download any kind of wallets unless you are absolutely sure it is legit as you said.
9851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash on: November 15, 2017, 06:56:06 PM
Bitcoin cash is a First very secured cryptocurrency and a Fast transactions!!!!
What are you going on about? Are you saying that bitcoin cash is superior to bitcoin? I do agree that bitcoin cash has some potential and its value is great at the moment, but it will never overtake bitcoin. The recent bitcoin cash pump was just orchestrated by some whales like Roger Ver etc who simply wanted quick profits. In the long run, bitcoin will always be the best cryptocurrency no matter what.
9852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the h*ll is ETHDOGE? on: November 15, 2017, 06:53:17 PM
It is interesting how in the future Vitalik and team will get rid of this garbage. There can be literally hundreds of abbreviations with null value. Just pretend that thy do not exist? Huh
I know right. There are so many shitcoins created on a daily basis whose primary purpose is to scam random people and rob their money through the ethereum blockchain and this is giving a bad name to Ethereum. Ethereum and its features are clearly some of the best in the crypto world which is why I find it sad that most of the scams these days are born thanks to Ethereum. Vitalik needs to do something about this soon.
9853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone made a fortune from airdrops? on: November 15, 2017, 06:48:19 PM
I think what you can get from airdrops cannot give you more money out of it because you only receive a portion of stake unlike bounty campaigns that runs for a month or two then you can claim more tokens than airdrop.
That's why many will prefer bounty campaigns over airdrop because you'll get more share and money.
Exactly this. Bounty campaigns are way more profitable than airdrops in bitcointalk forum. The pro about airdrops is that we simply fill a form and do nothing else and we may or may not get tokens which are worth something for minimum time investment which is great. On the other hand, bounty campaigns are a lot more reliable and they reward a lot more money when compared to airdrops almost all the time.
9854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest regret about bitcoin on: November 14, 2017, 06:55:14 PM
My biggest regret about Bitcoin is that i didn't trust in it enough when i had fair amounts of it several years ago. I exchanged my coins almost always and the amount that i once had would be a small fortune today.
You atleast bought some coins back in those days. Personally, I learnt about bitcoin and the crypto world last year and I got so angry when I learnt that bitcoin was introduced way back in 2009. I am a huge technology fan and I never knew about this wonderful coin since I was from a third world country where 95% of the people still don't know anything about bitcoin and the crypto world even now. Just gotta keep moving forward.
9855  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: November 14, 2017, 06:51:47 PM
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.

Bitcoin is not gambling, I agree.
Gambling can multiply and spend money quickly but in Bitcoin (investment) you can control the profit and the losses.
What are you talking about? Bitcoin trading is indeed a form of gambling. Just because I am using the internet to trade bitcoins does not mean that I am not gambling. Investing in the crypto market is risky and everyone knows how extremely volatile the crypto market is. Any coin can explode or fall at any time without any specific reason. This is a form of gambling according to me.
9856  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing faith in BTC... on: November 14, 2017, 06:48:37 PM
I kind of have the same sentiment that it's all about the money. The miners are doing what they're doing because they want what is profitable for them. The bitcoin cash weekend showed what happens to bitcoin when miners shift their mining activities to an alt of btc. BCH is still an alt of bitcoin. Someone pumped bch and so mining shifted there because they see profit there, therefore affecting bitcoin transactions. So this goes to show that regular bitcoin users can be at the mercy of miners and large business owners who can manipulate either asset.... right?  Undecided Huh
I agree with your point. In a way, the crypto world is somewhat dependent on the miners. The miners do manipulate the markets in different ways and I have been observing this from quite sometime. This is not necessarily a bad thing since the miners do help bitcoin survive in a way, but this also means centralization to an extent which we must deal with and there is no solution to this for now atleast.
9857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ether ever grow in price? on: November 14, 2017, 06:42:41 PM
I have big hopes on ethereum but frankly speaking annoyed with all the shitcoins which are created on eth platform as ERC tokens are the easiest way to make a new coin and scam others.
Same here dude. There are so many shitcoins created on the ethereum blockchain these days that I don't know what to say. It is truly irritating to see the scammers releasing more and more shitcoins on a regular basis and the legit coins are getting covered up in all this mess. I still fully believe in Ethereum and its features are some of the best features in the crypto world. I do hope that the developers find a way to deal with these scammers.
9858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I hope you guys won't fall for this BCH joke on: November 13, 2017, 06:42:47 PM
The popular crypto money has lost 25 percent in just a few days and has been tied at 5,900 ($ 22,750). The new competitor, Bitcoin Cash, doubled its value over the same period and became $ 1,500 ($ 5.790).
Your point? Are you saying that bitcoin cash will prevail over bitcoin soon? Why are you people falling for this trap created by the whales? From the moment I saw BCH rise like crazy, I predicted that this was a pump and dump scheme and that bitcoin and bitcoin cash will return to their recent rates very soon. Just look at current prices for both coins. That alone validates my prediction.
9859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: if ban bitcoin?? on: November 13, 2017, 06:37:35 PM
how we do?
if bitcoin ban this world? i have lots of curious feel about ban bitcoin from whole world...
your feel about bitcoin ban??
What a silly question. Why do you think bitcoin can be banned? If it could be banned, it would have happened already. Bitcoin is a force so powerful that no government in the world can touch it. So many governments have tried and failed and this clearly validates my statement. Bitcoin value will keep fluctuating, but it can never be banned in my opinion unless everyone loss internet access around the world.
9860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 134k unconfirmed transactions now. I'm starting to get really worried about this on: November 13, 2017, 06:31:42 PM
This is a very worrying state of affairs as it proves to some degree that this 'decentralized' currency is not fully decentralized if a few people can manipulate the system like this so easily. Makes me concerned for the future of BTC.
You got it all wrong. Every market can be manipulated to a certain degree(Stocks, Crypto etc). Everyone knows this. This does not mean that they can execute their plans successfully all the time. This also does not suggest that bitcoin is a centralized currency controlled by a particular group of people. Bitcoin is a complete decentralized currency which allows anonymous transactions to a degree which is far better than FIAT currencies. Don't let the bitcoin cash situation waver your faith in bitcoin.
