9841  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 07, 2017, 02:46:11 PM
How many bitcoins must one currently hold, as a citizen of a first world country, to be exited about the bitcoin price (movements)?

Of course, there is no "must" when it comes to this kind of a thing, and even in the "first world" there is a considerable amount of variance in income and in how much someone might have available to invest.

if you are feeling fairly bullish about bitcoin, then holding 10% of your quasi-liquid investments in bitcoin could be a good thing.. and maybe for some people that could be up to 10 bitcoins, but they might not get rich in the shorter term with 10 bitcoins, so maybe 100 would be a better target.. even though 100 might be too difficult to achieve for some people, especially if they are just entering into BTC and 10 might be more realistic.
Well there is a bitcoin knighthood price ranges.
I don’t remember exactly what it was but it started with someone having 21 satoshi being a farmer or something and went to 210 satoshi 2100 satoshi up to 2100 satoshi or something. That rank always had me cracked up because it was funny explanations near it Cheesy
9842  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1,200 incoming (Next goal is $1,300) on: April 07, 2017, 02:27:24 PM
As long as there won’t be a big news, I think the price will go up slowly slowly, nothing huge, there will be some pump and dumps but BTC volume is huge to move that much, maybe some big players might dump it but in the long run it will move up and up inch by inch.

However if anything like BU or Segwit and all that happens again, it will most probably go down again or start another rally. As of now it seems segwit is going to win this race. I guess based on that expectations, right now prices are moving up. hopefully this rally may continue till prices will be testing $1300 or ATH of $1350 too.
9843  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: INSTA ICO is the new INSTAMINE. How many are there now pulling this???????????? on: April 07, 2017, 12:44:05 PM
Yeah I agree, the pre-mine coins are worth a lot less to me than non-mined coins. If you want coin sell something other than the unpublished coin itself.

The coin they try to sell has no value and not even out yet and they still “sell” it with ICO. That is why unless it is by someone I know or a great idea I don’t go in the ICO scene, back in the day you could wait for a coin to drop and be one of the first people to mine, you could even mine a regular computer and get some couple coins at early days until it went to high hash numbers, that way we would made some coins and kept it. I have made a decent amount that way.
9844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Sleeping giant is awakening?? LTC back to $50 now ?? on: April 07, 2017, 12:24:04 PM
I don’t know, I mean $50 is a whole lot, last I checked it was around 10$ish and the bitcoin bull market will keep all altcoins to a minimum increase or even bear markets. That is why I don’t think you should hope for a raise and sell.

I do however believe it is high time people start buying LTC, don’t buy it at once tough, just keep buying at every 2% price drop. That way you can dilute your way and when it increases you can sell. Long term thinking tough, not like a week of result, maybe 4-6 months.
9845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what bet size do you start with when gambling dice? on: April 07, 2017, 09:43:26 AM
i was wondering what bet sizes is the most popular among gamblers around here who are gambling in Dice games so i decided to create this POLL here. please make sure to vote and leave your comments if you liked.

this is the amount where you start with, the smallest bet size for example in your martingale or any other strategy you use.
I don’t use martingale anymore, it is obvious that one big losing streak and you are gone. I don’t even gamble dice that much because it is a lot quicker to lose everything with autobetting than in any other game.

I bet with faucet most of the time unless I find a gamet hat I love and want to bet a lot bigger, than I just limit myself to $5 per day losing and if I lose it all I just quit and comeback the next day. There are websites like that every 3-4 months and I gamble there like for 10 days at least until I get bored of that too.
9846  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Joe Reno NBA Picks/Predictions on: April 07, 2017, 08:48:37 AM
NBA THURSDAY

PORTLAND -5.5 OVER MINNESOTA
Do you gamble anywhere spesific? So we could check your records there.
Just saying you won certain amount and lost certain doesn’t make sense but if you could send us where you play and your account name and take screenshots that would make more sense.

I am telling all this because it looks like you know what you are doing, I bet some NBA games as well and we are going fairly similar on most bets. I got Portland too but moneyline, no handicaps.
9847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: bitcoin dice casinos. Is it profitable to have such casino? on: April 07, 2017, 08:21:05 AM
Of course it is always and will be profitable because of the house edge. For starting capitals maybe a few coins would do then just use moneypot to help you with your bankroll needs but take note that your profit would be low because you don't support the bankroll of your gambling site..

But it's not too late to jump in this niche? I mean, there so many dice gambling sites..its not already saturated?

Unfortunately you are right, now is really late time to start dice website because nowdays there are many of them which offer fantastic promotions and etc, they gained trust and it's hard to build better trust and get popular. It's late but with good advertisements and good marketing, it's not problembut it requires some time and huge amount of money but worths. To my mind for you it's better to try bitcoin casino with poker, slotd and etc because there aren't many of them.
Also you said that 10 btc is a lot of money. In dice it's not big because there are many players who play from 0.1 to 1btc and higher.
I don’t think its too late. If you can put up decent amount of Money development and develop a good design, UI website and get great promotions it is definetly a way of making Money. I believe if you use moneypot the amount you need drops a whole lot as well.

There are also ways and games where people gamble against each other like poker, rock paper scissors, hi/lo and coin flip.

In any case, you could have made a casino for under 1 btc and get bigger back in the day, now if you want to be a great casino you need at least 10 btc marketing to start with, if possible even more.
9848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: April 07, 2017, 07:54:23 AM
I think it's human greed and always wanting more then you have. This is why people are never happy with their winnings and keep going till they lose everything. Then it becomes an addiction that can become relentless and out of control. It also depends on each person. Some people wouldn't ever gamble untill one day they happen to try for some reason or another and get hooked. I also think that when people want to win their money back they end up losing more.
I don’t agree with you guys. I think it can be an entartaining game like a computer game if played right.
I mean you don’t have to put up too much Money in order to gamble with bitcoins, hell you don’t even have to put up any coins at all, you can bet with the faucets in most cases.

If you can keep your gambling in check and gamble only as a fun and consider your Money gone even before gambling, you can make it a lot more fun than trying to earn a living from it.
9849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How did you started to gamble? What was your beginning like? on: April 05, 2017, 07:04:31 PM
I never gambled before bitcoin. I didn’t even try it because it was illegal in my country and there was no land based casinos and online gambling was so hard. I learnt about bitcoin early 2011 (or late 2011 can’t remember exactly) and mined bitcoins with my laptop. Had about 0.2 stashed somewhere.

When I came back in 2013 it was because satoshidice was big but there was off-chain new casino called just-dice, I loved it, you could even chat with doog (the owner) and his wife and there was this family ran casino where everyone knew each other. I gambled with some coins and had fun and just plain old entertainment amount.

One day I had a great run of martingale, went as high as 1.6 bitcoin and I said thats it I am withdrawing. I withdrew some of it bet kept 0.5 there. Than I had some horrible martingale streak where I lost it all, deposit the rest, lost them too. That was my meeting with gambling all together.

Well except counter strike box opening which I am not sure if is gambling or not if I don’t spend any money on it.
9850  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Class action lawsuit for Poloniex on: April 05, 2017, 04:52:39 PM
Seriously you think you can sue poloinex for class action lawsuit for being late? Like they have Ddos attack of organic sizes. I mean what could you even tell any judge WHY you want to sue them?

Because you couldn’t reach their website? You have to find a bad intention for them to cut your connection to their website in order for it to be even bad and even that won’t hold up in court. Jesus, some people here.
9851  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 10 VPN Services Providers That Accept Bitcoin on: April 05, 2017, 03:42:49 PM
I don’t get why you guys are using paid VPN providers. I have been using the some free VPN for years and had no troubles so far. I mean why would you wanna pay? What is the difference?

It is not like they are going to suddenly do something extra and leave you alone? I am not going to suggest sticking with free VPN’s because different people will have different needs like server speed expectations.

There are ton of free VPNs, anyone could find them. But I like to suggest to do try some free ones before you end up buying one.
9852  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: freebitco.in Annual investment on: April 05, 2017, 02:52:08 PM
I believe this is only good if you have spare bitcoins you don’t know what to do at the moment. Otherwise 4% yearly is lower than most banks.

If I am investing in bitcoin I would expect a lot more than 4% a year, I mean it is even riskier considering we don’t know if it will be hacked or not, I mean “hacked” or not. I would rather just exchange it to USD and put it in a bank that gives %10 to %13 where I live.

Tough 4% just gives the vibe that they are not after scamming people, 4% is a doable and believable investment return to actually be realistic.
9853  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FaucetHUB.io - Your microwallet - 24/7 support in chat by our staff & community on: April 05, 2017, 01:44:21 PM
Ok, should be working now. Apologies for the trouble.
Great support from you guys. You have been showing the bitcoin World how you want to clear the name of business’ in bitcoin world by doing good by people.

You figured out a problem with your website and fixed it, the great part was you let people know there was a problem even before people complained and than you fixed the issue. Many business’ ignore a problem until it is unavoidable and fix later. Great job and great site man.
9854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 04, 2017, 03:47:24 PM
Manchester United has to win this game in order to stay competitive for EU games. If they lose this one too than it will be hard to recover and rally back to gaining EU entry, they can definitely say goodbye to champions league next year if they lose. They will fight like every game is their last game from now on. I don’t think Everton can handle that very well, maybe early season game it would be a competitive game but late this season Manchester United won’t lose.
9855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 04, 2017, 06:22:56 AM
I think both Westbrook got what they wanted. Except from Durants injury tough. Durant wanted a ring to show for when he retires one day and selected the “hardest road”, technically its true, if he stays with OKC and loses again no one bats an eye because OKC is not a contender but when he went to Warriors and if they lose with 4 all-stars at the same team with packed bench I think it is impossible for them to be fine unless they win the ring, anything other than that means they sucked and failed.

Westbrook meanwhile wanted to be the alpha dog in the team, we see Kanter and Adams making how their leader is Westbrook that tension with Durant made Westbrook second man in many discussions, now that he is gone Brodie can lead the team, as we can see this year, he had 40 triple doubles, he does whatever he wants.

I won’t be surprised if he manages a quadruple double this year or next year if he has a chance. Well he technically had MANY quadruple doubles if you could count turnovers Cheesy
9856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction 2017 on: April 01, 2017, 11:55:32 AM
$2000 by the end of this year still realistic bitcoin would touch to to this milestone easily. At the moment it's little unstable but will be back on it's way to the moon.

Not anymore in my opinion. The block chain might split into 2, some group of whales is spamming the network and now there is a POW upgrade initiative that might create further problems. The odds of that happening is very low.
Never be pessimistic, no one is here just to kill bitcoins but everyone working on their known way to further development of bitcoins. I guess all the problems will find a solution very soon and hence we can have $2000+ levels. One important thing, being optimist I wish all these to happen within 2017 itself.

Chaos and frustrations are not new to bitcoin ecosystem but overcoming them is always we could expect and as per history bitcoin has done that many times. So bitcoin will do it yet again.
9857  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can break above $1,100 again? on: April 01, 2017, 10:50:22 AM
$2000 per Bitcoin, not gonna happen this year that's for sure. Smiley Till end of the year price will be around $1300 - $1400.Well, we will see!  Grin
When you are confident about $1300 - $1400 levels why not a new ATH ? I guess when bitcoin will be able to overcome the hurdles, right now it is facing then I believe no other things could resists prices below previous ATH itself. We can see continuous rally which may raise to exponential too.

At the time of writing this, bitcoin prices are trading above $1100 levels in bitfinex but in bitstamp yet to break $1100 (high was $1097).
9858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is decentralised, so who defends it from hackers? on: April 01, 2017, 10:15:24 AM
Decentralization just means that the data is not stored in one server/database or location. Imagine a bank storing copies of the same information

on computers or servers in all their branches and not just in a data warehouse in a single location. A hacker will have to change the data on all of

those computers to successfully change it or to steal it. The Blockchain is just one HUGE ledger system that are stored on 1000's of computers or

nodes.  Wink
Decentralization has nothing to do with the bitcoin getting hacked, bitcoin like any other system in the world has blind spots and can be hacked, and even Satoshi himself said this when he created it, as bitcoin becomes more popular and more expensive and its becoming a threat to the government control over the currencies.

There is no doubt that some of them are already trying to figure it out, but I think hackers even if they know how to hack it they won’t because they use bitcoin as a cover to do their illegal actions and get away with it.

Even if hackers want to hack bitcoin they won’t target the whole bitcoin network they will go for the major providers like an online wallet for example.
9859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if all nations of the world started to use bitcoin on: April 01, 2017, 08:10:49 AM
What will happened if every country started to use bitcoin. Is the current supply of bitcoin and blockchain capacity can handle every bitcoin user?

Thanks in advance.
there is no bitcoin for every one so forget this fact and stop dreaming.
Actually that is not true, many people think that the fact that bitcoin is limited to a certain supply which is 21 million btc makes it not going to be able to cover all the needs of the whole world, but as the time goes by and people start using it more and more, its price will get higher and higher, which means we will start using fraction of the bitcoin to buy things, if today we spend 0.01 btc in a couple of years we will start using 0.0001 btc to buy the same thing.
9860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When I talk to NON-BitcoinTalkers they don't know.. on: April 01, 2017, 04:33:37 AM
Bitcoin is not as popular as we think and also most of the people I met don't want to involve in bitcoin because it is a currency for criminal and bad people, so when they already got a negative mindset, it will be difficult to change it
And it will be more difficult to explain segwit and bu to newbie, even some of the user not really understand that things, the most important for the user is the price
Does linguistic students will understand updates in computer science department or they will follow them, similarly I do not expect people to follow what is going with the crypto world unless otherwise they have invested /are using crypto currencies. Bitcoin is famous enough what youtube had some 10 years back. Famous among technical background and frequent Internet users.

I have a friend who is having few bitcoins in cold storage but he is not active here, but he never bothered about bitcoin etf nor sociability debates. I am sure there are bitcointalkers who are just busy with altcoins trading and gambling and never bothered about latest updates on cypto world.
