9861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: EOS speculation, is it worth investing? on: July 19, 2018, 06:20:41 AM
I wasn't convinced at all when EOS came out and I wasn't convinced any time this year when the price just climbed after they ended the ICO. I hope nobody forgets what a scam the ICO was.

And what a stupid shame that they needed bug bounties to find so many flaws, SO many. What a shame their mainnet had a few centralized block producers. So many red flags that keep showing up, and it wasn't like I was following it. IT just kept happening and I kept hearing about it.

Not amused and not impressed.
9862  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: July 18, 2018, 10:12:52 AM
The upcoming BitDice update will have is deploying the new backend which will significantly improve site performance. Besides that there will be some bugfixes and other minor updates. The site layout and games will remain the same for the time being but it will allow us to start adding new games and update the site visually for example.

Great news, thanks for sharing with us BoXX. Same look, better feel, then yes?

I think dice will always be the main attraction for BD (well, the name says it all) so as long as that one keeps improving or maintaining the attractiveness (speed betting always the factor for dice addicts) then it keeps players staying to check out the new games later as and when they arrive.

Also, price of token looks like it's making a steady recovery, guys!
9863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin and market up,but for me looks bearish. you looking bullish or bearish? on: July 18, 2018, 07:48:09 AM
No bulls or bears for me. I see this year and even the next year as potential "nothing". Yes, we've seen lows and highs on Bitcoin, but still all within 5k-10k range, which to me should be trimmed down in pattern due to crypto's extreme volatility. By this, I mean, this ranging should be seen as sideways, over the big picture readings.

We're back where we started a few months ago, and sort of back where we were a year ago, so yeah. Sounds pretty sideways to me.
9864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Time for [ Job and Crypto ] on: July 18, 2018, 06:11:44 AM
It does sound like you've got your head on straight. When I was a student, I spent 6 hours in school but maybe only 2 hours of it listening to what was going on. Haha. College was even worse, studied everything on the night before exam and just barely passed all exams.

Careful not to waste those 4 hours just reading stupid price and trading stuff. Interesting I agree but to me ultimately worthless in real life and trading. I spend maybe in total an hour a day, maybe two tops including on this forum. Just read the interesting developments of the projects I follow and big news.
9865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipster picks service discussion ( profit +1649 EURs ) on: July 17, 2018, 09:00:36 AM
Quite a good thread to follow, but I guess I am a bit lost with racing, so if I take it right, about half of your profits are from horse racing. I could not really attempt to follow that properly unless I just put all my trust in the tip. I have to have some knowledge of the sport before I can place any bets.

I follow a few in this forum sometimes. Joca I recognize but I did not follow all. Everybody has tempting results but unless you can have strict strategy and units like Sy, it is impossible to say if it is profitable long run.

Let us say I have 0.01 bankroll to try, is this possible to recover tips fees?
9866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: new 🔴🔵 THE TABLE OF NEW SIGNATURES 🔵🔴 on: July 17, 2018, 06:33:21 AM
Good job, I think people should be referred to this list. Every day I see every newbie coming in to ask bounty questions and this is one starting point they could consider.

Just my observation. These are all alt bounties, and I didn't recognize any of the managers there. You should add a rating or performance review for old or closed bounties. Then we can also see which managers were involved if bounties did not pay out but of course you have to be careful here because sometimes projects scam, not the manager's fault.

Oh 1 thing to add. Escrowed tokens or not?
9867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in Alts vs BTC? on: July 17, 2018, 05:32:26 AM
in long term: bitcoin
in short term: shitcoins.

it is obvious that bitcoin has a very strong long term potential and since its market is a lot bigger than altcoins then it is extremely hard to manipulate (pump and dump) it so the profit is purely based on real adoption and that profit is strong in the long run since it will surely go up and not come down in the long run. for instance last year it was $1000 and now it is $6000 so that is 6x profit in the long run.

for altcoins there is no real adoption but only speculation. and because their markets are small and they are easy to manipulate (pump and dump) you get a lot of good opportunities to make a lot of profit in short term which is their pump period.

Second you on this. What the altcoin projects will not really tell you is that they are truly struggling for adoption. Even Ethereum's adoption is only due to ERC20 tokens, 100% a speculation market. The only real apps working on them now are gaming apps like cryptokitty.

Even Ripple was recently begging people to please use their tokens. They gave away so much XRP (not that it matters since it cost them nothing) but even they know no one is using it.
9868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup Pool Discussion Thread on: July 16, 2018, 01:32:57 PM
Top five winners:

Trofo_ 5302 + 240 5542
LFC_Bitcoin 4744 + 160 4904
slaman29 4667 + 154 4821
Joca977 4659 + 103 4762
HugoSt1 4529 + 167 4696

Wow, I didn't want to believe it at all, so only came back to check here now and am so happy to get in a winner's spot! I believe we all owe a huge thank you to hilariousetc for setting up this pool. I can't even remember what the prizes are but it's nice to get something back to make up for all the losing bets I placed on world cup.

My Bitcoin deposit is this one: 31mRvREw8YPeVR5RoMswfDVPbgcA6jZWtB

It's for a casino wallet, hope that's okay.

Now at least I know I have something to join the premier league pool. Thank you everyone for the fun:)
9869  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is a game of whales on: July 16, 2018, 09:06:39 AM
I honestly don't think it's as simple as that. Perhaps if you're an altcoin trader (or should I say speculator) then all this makes sense to you. Price goes against you, you keep losing value, you keep depositing in more and your portfolio just keeps getting "redder".

But no one was complaining when these same whales played together to make Bitcoin price go up, right?

I think we give them too much credit. See all the volumes on trade. Look at all the conversations going on here. See all the people earning Bitcoin and spending them for pizza or whatever.

These aren't whales. Yet they're driving everything. I think 10,000 of us using Bitcoin every day is more impactful than 10 Whales moving things in one hour.
9870  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why so many peoples belived in pump 2018? on: July 16, 2018, 06:59:21 AM
Since they're holding a great deal of cryptographic forms of money and as yet sitting tight for a major draw in next couple of weeks or months in this year Smiley). Or on the other hand they accept on the grounds that they need to cause there are no charge or assessments they have to pay on the off chance that they have confidence in anything Smiley). Close to I'm likewise have confidence in a major pump will occur in one month from now Grin

Since when do speculators NOT believe in pumps? This year, last year, next year, they'll all still be shilling their coins/tokens, they'll all still be giving you random reasons for why the price will pump, why the moon is coming, why lambo is here.

They have no choice. They're an army of speculators who have no interest in blockchain, and just want to grab their share of cash before they jump their ships.

Oh, and who says there's not going to be a pump yet? Still 5 months to go Wink
9871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: campaigns that pay with BTC on: July 16, 2018, 05:30:33 AM
Guys, I've never met any project that pays with BTC as bounty reward. What is the regular income out of it?

Guys, you really, really need to spend a bit more time properly on this forum. This is BitcoinTalk. Bitcoin. It is the main topic, the main discussion, altcoins are a subforum under Bitcoin Forum.

You also should really read the first post and the reply at least, before asking a question that has already been answered. The link provided by the first reply has all the answers you should ever need both in regards to the question you ask, and the question the OP asks.
9872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrency bounty hunters and bounty hunter specialists. on: July 15, 2018, 02:54:42 PM
I think what you're looking for here are so-called "cryptocurrency influencers". Bounty hunters, you only need to open a Bounty thread (in bounty section) and all the hunters will come flocking to you, so no worries there. Your issue will be to weed out the scammers from the genuine ones. But to be honest, even the genuine ones are just looking for flipping tokens. They'll dump as soon as they get the chance.

Influencers are no different, but these are bounty hunters with big audiences and who tend to move markets just by what they Tweet or whatever they do on social media. 1 big influencer is better than 100 fake bounty hunters with useless followers.

But end result is the same. They all want to dump.
9873  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitsler flawed mobile web designed causing players to bust on: July 15, 2018, 02:08:23 PM
Plenty of these types of accidental max bet claims. I myself have done accidental max bet but this isn't a flaw of design, just my choice when I click yes confirm max bet, or switch off the warning. I doubt these claims are justified unless you can replicate this bug and prove it.

Otherwise, this is the problem faced by every autobet, which is why I always set limits or make sure my bankroll isn't exposed. Then again, my autobets always freeze, no matter which site I use. So in general, the script freezes even before I reach intended rolls.

stomachgrowls is correct. If it works out in your favor, you wouldn't ask for a refund of bet.

adaseb is correct too. Don't risk mobile devices for big bankrolls. They're always acting weird.
9874  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 Treasure Chest Is Back! 🎰🎰🎰 on: July 15, 2018, 11:10:37 AM
World Cup is big yes, so I guess for most people they won't hear anything about football until 2022 as Febo says;)

But tournaments are plenty. We have Euros also every 4 years. Asians love watching it also. And then We have Copa America which we love just as much. In our own regions we follow AFC tournaments. So there's so much football.

Not to mention every Champions League!

Juggy, no no official word but deep down in the thread it was mentioned as something to consider. I don't think this new update will be sports and maybe not everyone shares the betting love for sports. But whatever it is, the update is a step forward.
9875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your Opinion on PUNDI X (NPXS) on: July 15, 2018, 09:01:08 AM
Well the Pundi X case use is interesting in itself. Physical payments at PoS. Not using Visa or Mastercard. Terminals all over the world. This is the sort of thing that can really displace Visa, but it has to have a sort of Bitcoin off chain Lightning network to make sure things all settle quickly, and some day cross chain facility so every crypto can be used. I like the idea, but not sure I want to have a card attached that could be open to hacking.
9876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: trade bot for binance on: July 14, 2018, 01:24:46 PM
First came the trading bots. They worked. And then they stopped working. That's the reality of strategies, they simply cannot account for the market when it changes at will. I know so many projects now talk about AI with trading bots, but take a look at all of them. They also fail. In fact, fail worse than if you just hold Bitcoin.

Bots don't work, they're just gambling on your money. Better gamble it on sports, at least you can make good predictions.
9877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA WORLD CUP 2018? on: July 14, 2018, 11:06:29 AM
Did you guys hear about the post-match beef that the England fans are complaining about? They want Croatia disqualified. Mostly because Rebic wasn't sent off after getting 2 yellow cards. And the fact that Vida actually played after a video of him saying Glory to Ukraine got leaked and whatever bullshit that was ,was gonna get him banned but yet he played. England fans are also not happy with the referee because Lovren didn't get a single yellow card in the entire 120 minutes.

So it seems like, everything but football is coming home. And wow did I underestimate Croatia a little too much.

That's just being a sore loser. I also thought Croatia should get punished for those little things, but as a whole, they deserved to go through. Maybe the England players should be the one showing a bit more desire to win? Let's see if they can again for 3rd place, but Belgium will be equally determined to get 3rd place, if not more.

England ex players said it was because of clubs fighting each other in the past which is why they never got far but let's face it England also had it "easy". Belgium still had to fight so many good teams.
9878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Bull is Coming! on: July 14, 2018, 09:57:22 AM
I will add this here, another cryptocurrency manipulation article this is a great read

Jamie Dimon, the CEO JP Morgan has been bashing cryptocurrencies in the media while his London trading desk has been buying them up. That seems a little odd? Why would he be talking bad about cryptocurrencies to the media and at the same time buying cryptocurrencies for himself?

Read the full article here: https://hackernoon.com/dear-cryptocurrency-investors-theyre-trying-to-trick-you-6639f46ba416

That's almost a year old news, isn't it? We all know about Dimon Dimonizing Bitcoin, only to keep buying it up later. He has sort of converted now. But think about it. If people really hate Bitcoin, why else make it news and make it public unless they wanted to affect the market, right? And why affect the market unless they want to make profit from it?

So I don't trust much experts. Whether they say up or down, they want the market to meet their price.
9879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Palm Beach Confidential : Btc will be $65k on: July 14, 2018, 08:56:01 AM
I'm not an FUD person at all. I have high hopes for Bitcoin. But I just feel I have to come out and put a warning sign on anything that has the name Palm Beach Confidential.

These guys are spammers, they charge thousands of dollars for membership or whatever for advice you can find right here on this forum for free. I almost didn't forgive myself for checking them out when I got their first spam email, from god knows where. Full of users on FB asking for free BTC.

Sorry, but this group and all the guys associated with it pretend to be whales and insiders. They just want your bucks. Stay away.
9880  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Deanonymization of BTC on: July 14, 2018, 08:33:51 AM
Perhaps not much more to contribute here to the brilliant replies above, looking at you aliashraf Wink, but there are quite a few actions I take and most people do here on this forum that somewhat "deanonymizes" Bitcoin. Hopefully these are practical examples for you. Staking a Bitcoin address to prove ownership of this account. This ties the address to me as in the username on this account. Reusing an address. Addresses were meant for single use, but I re-use several addresses to help me identify source of coins. Convenience for my bookkeeping, but again, ties me and my online identity to my addresses. People perhaps know who've paid me, which signature campaigns I've participated in.

So yes. I need/want to do the above, but I sacrifice some anonymity.
