9901  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Snowden should 'man-up' and face trial: says SOS John Kerry on: June 02, 2014, 12:08:01 PM
I think the only way Snowden can go home is if he gets a presidential pardon at some point.
And, as others have already pointed out in this thread, why should he ever believe them?
I wouldn't.

Well that's up to him, but aren't they legally binding? It's not going to look good if they publicly pardon him then it turns out it was just a sneaky trick to get him back. I'm sure he'd require something in writing or whatnot as well.
9902  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 02, 2014, 12:00:59 PM

many will take advantage posting bullshit posts.

The ritz campaign was flooded in the foreign language part of the forum.

I had 3 posts deleted and 5 posts merged.  I was pm'd by a moderator and told that the standards for posting need to be higher  since I was now being paid.  We talked on 1 or 2 pm's and I was fine with the explanation. .

Now all those ritz members are coming here. And thank yourself lucky you got a PM from a mod. Most just get banned for a week or two without any warning. I personally think a PM warning would be better as a first resort and I guess it worked in your case.
9903  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: June 02, 2014, 11:26:00 AM
It's not about quantity but quality and being constructive/relevant. Most of the people that get banned do so for making only a couple of hundred posts or so, and I've seen people being banned on their first day of signature posting or when they've made less than 50 posts etc. If you're contributing to discussions and not just making simple few word replies I don't think there'd be a problem with you making several hundreds of posts per day. Just put some thought into your posts and you can make as many as you want without fear of being banned.
9904  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: June 02, 2014, 11:20:12 AM
Why not? If it's not accepting new users then it should be marked as CLFNP   ||   Currently closed for new participants, or at least a note mentioning about it.
Since its not full yet. I will do that when nobody can join, because all spots are taken. As far as I know there are still spots left so I won't put them under CCFNP.

It seems to be full and he's stated it's closed to new members. There's 25 people currently enrolled and 5 users have reserved their place which brings it to the 30 capacity.
9905  Other / Meta / Re: Guide me on: June 02, 2014, 10:29:59 AM
The 'I am basically an accountant' in his Personal Text made me laugh. Probably just an attempt to get people to think he is good/trustworthy with money  Cheesy. Nice try.
9906  Other / New forum software / Re: User tagging/mention system on: June 02, 2014, 10:22:30 AM
Allowing usernames with spaces and other fancy characters presents a challenge to this. I guess that freedom would have to be somewhat chopped if this is to be implemented. Or do something weird like @"fancy username here" (thus only disallowing quotes and nothing else).

I think a solution to this would be what I mentioned previously in another thread: a @ button or something under the users profile name or something which can be clicked and it'll autofill their name for you (and notify the user) once posted.

well, um shit, that is a mindfuck.. "man up.. and get brainwashed into being a woman." and you know, that is something that could have happened to bradley MANNING.

That is exactly what happened to Manning. The CIA taught a lesson to all of their detractors. Any similar whistle blower will face similar torture methods. Water-logging is primitive.. a forced sex change is even more modern.

How the hell are they forcing a sex change on him exactly?
9908  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the inability to be charged a problem? on: June 02, 2014, 08:35:04 AM
You could probably pre-deposit a certain amount of btc into an Uber account if they had that option. Then the needed amount would be withdrawn.

This is exactly what I was going to suggest, but why would you be ok trusting a company with your credit or bank details but not Bitcoin?  There's nothing to stop them draining your account at the moment is there?

9910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Satoshi Nakamoto become the richest person on earth? on: June 02, 2014, 08:21:51 AM
The richest person on earth is the one who has nothing, yet is content.

The wisest person is the one who knows that he knows nothing ?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLlwpZQrQUU

~ Conspiracy theory and conspiracy fact.

But the question then is is he content? I hope so.

...
2) He most likely has control over those coins still (he invented bitcoin with damn near perfect, do you really think he'd be so careless to lose his private keys?)
...
According to Gavin, Satoshi was pretty sloppy, when it came to programming. (I never looked into the code, but you would see that there).
So he is far from perfect.
I am saying this, with all respect to Satoshi, but he is just not that god-like person, a lot of people illustrates him

Since when do you have to be perfect to be a god? He's given his god-like status by people who worship him or his idea. I think you can be a genius or have a genius idea but not be 'perfect' (after all, no one is).
9911  Other / Off-topic / Re: Thinking about naming my kid Satoshi..anybody with me! on: June 02, 2014, 08:09:00 AM
I have to agree with beetcoin and keithers. It would seem a bit weird if you were non-Japanese or whatever, but lots of kids seem to get given weird names these days so it might not be too bad.
9912  Economy / Services / Re: Lethn's proof reading and research service on: June 02, 2014, 08:00:29 AM
If you say so Lethn. I'm hardly stalking you, so you don't need to flatter yourself, but I'll point out your hypocrisies and errors when I see them (which are often). The thing is, you like to point out people's errors and (try) assert your superiority, but absolutely cannot take it when anyone criticises you or points out your own contradictions or fallacies, and when they do on that block list they go. And you can point out my errors if you wish, but it's you that is laughably offering a proofreading service when you can't even proofread your own post offering such services.

And read up on run-on and fused sentences.
9913  Economy / Services / Re: WE PAY FOR SIGNATURE EVEN MORE. UP TO 0.0016 BTCs PER POST. WEEKLY PAYOUTS. on: June 02, 2014, 07:41:03 AM
Yeah, some users use bots as well. Need a little more than this circumstantial evidence.

I highly doubt he is making any actual income. Hence very risky to trust his signature payouts without escrow.

Well they got the ridiculous sum of coins to pay the Bitcoin Foundation to become a member, so they're getting their money from somewhere. They paid previously, there's currently just a few issues that need addressing. I think people just need to wait a little longer before scam accusations start getting thrown around.
9914  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: June 02, 2014, 07:32:59 AM
Harry Potter was bad.

People already warn me about it but I didn't listen.

The first one or the entire film series? I'd hardly consider them classics, but they're not really worst film of all time bad. Some are better than others though, but I haven't seen the last few do can't comment on them.
9915  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Sell donator member on: June 02, 2014, 07:14:24 AM
First one of these I've seen for sale. Is it a Hero Member as well? Doubt you'll sell it for anything near that price though.
9916  Economy / Economics / Re: The American Dream on: June 02, 2014, 07:09:49 AM
He just doesn't like anyone saying anything bad about the greatest country in the world and his American dream.
9917  Economy / Economics / Re: The American Dream on: June 02, 2014, 07:03:15 AM
Oh, look it's Honeypot. Bitcointalk's resident racist angry old nationalist. Haven't seen your nonsense around for a while. I guess it's rare that you venture out of your crapcoin playpen with the rest of the children on this forum. Tell me again how you think Ron Paul Coin is going to be worth between 1-10 Bitcoins a piece  Grin. Let me guess, now you'll resort to your barrage of childish cliche insults of calling people a bitch over and over. Still, I guess you've got to cling to that desperate sappy American dream, eh? Keep circling that drain and playing out that string Wink.

UpDown.BT said that he isn't online on weekends. Guess what it is right now?

Hey bitcoinformation we all understand that but what happen Friday?, is Friday part of the weekend?

No, but maybe he had that day off or just didn't come online that day. This campaign could be handled better, but people just really need some patience, and you should also understand the risks involved with jumping on new campaigns.
