If these hackers are claiming to offer a BTC/Bcash split and got are given the private key/seed. Why are they only stealing BTC and not the Bcash ?
According to the BCash block explorer they didn't transfer any of the BCash only the BTC?
This doesn't add up.

So basically what happened was somebody decided it would be fun to trick others and create a fake 468 BTC wallet and sell it cheap to others to trick them into thinking they have a shot at the 468 BTC.
Some people bought it, couldn't crack the key and decided they want to get their money back by reselling it to someone else.
The wallet got resold many many times over and over again and after some forensic analysis it turns out its a fake wallet and there are only 2 Satoshos in the wallet instead of the promised 468 BTC.
This is basically the situation that goes on when someone buys a blacklisted phone. Someone gets an incredible deal and then later on it turns out the phone is stolen and can't be used. So instead of taking the loss, they just resell it to someone else in hopes of getting their initial money back. This is a digital file however and can be resold many times unlike a phone.
In this scenario who is at fault? The one who initially stole the phone and sold it? Or the individuals that bought it and kept reselling because they didn't want to be stuck with a loss?

DO you guys have an affiliate program or something This guy is trying to come off as the admin of Stake.com https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2073053.0At first I assumed it was an amazing site for a newbie, and then I found this thread and realized it doesn't belong to him.

he aint paying? any proofs? also, can you guys write in detail what happened instead of all those one liners
Basically its like the admin of this site died. His last post was over a month ago. But for the month of July he signed in almost everyday, never posted. His last sign in date was at the beginning of August. And still no posts, no nothing. We actually have no idea what happened to him.

Any service out for BCC to sweep private keys?

Well there you go. Mystery solved. It is unlikely that so many outgoing transactions are missing while incoming are not. It was a manipulated file to show the wrong balance. It is good to understand why those transactions are kept in the wallet.
Yeah like I said before, that wallet most likely had the balance sometime in the past and the cheater basically removed the transaction showing that it was withdrawn, but he did it incorrectly because he removed too much and corrupted the wallet. Either way, its not right what they did because someone would of wasted alot of time trying to GPU hash crack the password just to get 2 Satoshi's

Asking for ID after you win a decent amount is shitty af. Even when I send my ID some websites still require more information and it becomes pretty annoying to deal with them. Thats why I check every gambling site before I start playing there now.
FanoBet also asks you for ID after you win a nice amount and try to withdraw.
Basically alot of small or medium type of sites try to enforce this after you try and make a withdraw. Apparently they protect themselves because they include a clause in the terms and agreements so there is nothing you can do. Because after all, when you joined you apparently read and agreed to the terms and agreements. Some times also try and get away with it by saying that if you send a deposit from 1 address, you must send the withdraw back to the same deposit address or else they need KYC.

Anyone here with a R9 280X care to test it out and see if it makes a difference?
I though the eth hash rate bug was polaris only ? Pitcairn Tahiti Fiji Vega all seem to have this issue

Pretty much nothing interesting.
Everything these days is ICO/POS

I am pretty sure this guy is some legendary member, he had to make a fake new account probably because he didn't want to get introuble with AMD for pre-releasing these drivers.
I highly doubt a AMD driver can become some executable virus.

In gambling people who know when to stop will be the luckiest people otherwise at the end the only site is going to win money. I don't know whether he will come back again or not but what he has done on that winning day is the most clever thing to do. It is really very big amount and if he just stores those coins for next few years then he can make a lot of money.
I really miss prime dice action for a very long time and we had some pretty crazy rollers who lost everything and some who made some profits, really good to talk with them after their crazy rides as they used to tip like crazy to their peers in private and i have returned additional in return when one of my friend lost bad over 100 btc ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) ,good to see a high roller back in action and very much made a good profit ,hope he does not burn those in other sites, usually they win some go to other sites and burn it . ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Back in the day, somewhere in the 2013-2014 area there were tons of high rollers. Most of these were basically early early CPU miners from the 2009-2010 which had thousands of coins to burn. Its funny because they basically lost like $100K on a single roll and said "Oh well". And when they won it was nice because they tipped everybody who was active in the chat. As time goes on... there are less and less of these people who got "BTC for free" so people are gambling more conservatively these days.

Old LTC thread closed https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2037122.0We don't accept litecoin now. BTC and LTC are not the right currencies for these types of games. In my opinion the only currency that's viable for this type of gambling is either ETH or ETC. The reason is that block times and block fees are just way too high for this type of gambling. Right now it would take probably 20-30 mins on average with the average fee just to be able to take one bet.

This is insane service man. If you have that much money they why would you even do that. Why will you take the hassle to go asking others about buying a domain and stuff. With that kind of money you can actually build your own hosting site amd manage it. Lolz.
These are the replies that annoy me the most Just read the damn thread Having password protected wallet.dat (you don't know the password of) of 468 bitcoins doesn't equal to having 468 BTCYou have no money, you have an ecrypted file with money which you or no one else can basically else However, the file is not legit, your reply still triggered me ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) --- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1023231Negged https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=161109Negged I looked at the file some more. Basically I can predict 1 of 3 things going on here. 1) His hard-drive crashed or he formatted his harddrive and that corrupted wallet.dat was the most he can record, basically there are transactions in the wallet.dat file that look valid and maybe it does hold 486 btc. However there are 80,000 transactions and finding which wallet has the 486 is way too much work. And even if you find the wallet, most likely a large part of the encrypted private key is gone forever. 2) This was a valid wallet.dat file but for trickery him or that Youtube guy basically opened the file with a hex editor, removed any traces of private keys and are sending everybody on a wild goose chase. 3) There was 486 btc in that wallet sometime in 2014, then the guy forked off the main chain before the withdraw and mine himself the blocks from the last 3 years just to be able to make that youtube video. Either way, its a waste of time.

Looks like a new AMD driver is already out

Alright loading up the wallet.dat file and trying to open leads to 2017-08-06 09:08:39 CDBEnv::Salvage: WARNING: Number of keys in data does not match number of values. 2017-08-06 09:08:39 CDBEnv::Salvage: WARNING: Unexpected end of file while reading salvage output. 2017-08-06 09:08:39 Salvage(aggressive) found 83134 records Looks like its corrupt and not worth repairing. No idea how he got it to load even.

Pretty much all you need are PCIe slots. And a PSU with proper cables. Don't need no i7's for GPU mining.
|
|
|
Yes you can run 2 GPUs with that split-end cable. However...
Make sure you put GPUs close enough so the length is long enough
After a few hours touch the end of the cable going into the modular PSU and make sure its not burning hot. Sometimes there is a bad connection and they will melt.
