9901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 20, 2020, 03:50:03 PM
I tried favoring underdogs and predicted upsets in every game in first week. But this week, I have been thorough in my evaluation. So far it's going above average. Other than Crystal Palace and Brighton wins (which were unexpected), I am close in every other game. I picked 1-1 for Arsenal game but Nketiah's late goal stole 3 points from me. Got points in rest of the games.

For Chelsea vs Liverpool, I am expecting 1 goal difference win for Chelsea. It could be 2-1 or 3-2. But I chose 3-1 in favour of Chelsea. Now don't get surprised once again if Chelsea wins and I get points in this one as well. Cheesy

Yeah, somewhat my "tactic" every now and then, plus doing 3-0 for Pool almost every round. I've somewhat learnt my lesson but it hasn't done anything for me so far. Too early.

Not a very nice match to watch so far but Salah seems to have retained his sharpness.

GL =p
9902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 20, 2020, 01:47:42 PM
Not watching the matches but seeing the livescores updates and yeah, crazy. Southampton seemed to actually have more attempts but I guess Kane and Son were on Song today, ever the duo to pop up and ride things crazy -- and to be fair they could have done it the first match around.

Maupay brace, with the only shots on target. A possible hattrick again today?

I've somehow climbed some levels up Superbru -- webtricks picked 4-2 on Spurs, so last week's wooden spoon explains why he's trying these weird scores;)

No one picked Brighton? Not even the draw? Haha...
9903  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ‘Young Investment’ Wallets at Highest Level Since February 2018 on: September 20, 2020, 12:15:00 PM
So if February 2018 was the highest level since, then people started coming in at the peak or soon after anyway, thinking it would go on to make more waves (it didn't happen obviously, but that's not the point). Does this suggest new entrants also see Bitcoin as approaching a new rally? Not that it matter what they think, again, but sentiment can be a poweful thing (or not).
9904  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: September 20, 2020, 10:55:57 AM
I used first one on "sure" thing multi: Arsenal and Everton ML, both to score on Dortmund, Hoff and Monaco games. Combined odds with bonus gets me just about a 10mBTC. I wanted to use second one on a huge multi with winnings around 1 BTC, so maybe better I did not get it yet Smiley

Damn Dortmund eh? I used all my freebets today games, can't even really remember right now what they are but feeling a bit silly with Liverpool today the 2/1 tells me Chelsea is severely underrated, but hey, how often can I get over 2/1 on the Reds now yeah?

I would have put it on Palace if I had the freebets at the time but anyway, should be an exciting game today. Anyone put everything on Southampton? Boosted is almost 3/1;)

^ I will follow this one on a draw no bet @6.14, but my pool pick is unchanged, 2:1  Wink

Manchester teams give me such joy. It's really surprising that odds are so hugely against their opponents when on the field you can clearly see there is not so much a gulf of quality. So satisfying to win these picks too, schadenfreudeWink

I'm not yet decided on matches today, but I'm really liking the odds on Liverpool, it's been climbing so clearly people think Chelsea could pull off an upset here, so good for me!

Going to use my winnings for another boost, so instead of 100 units, I'll put a big 500 units bet. I rarely do this, but let's get silly.

500 units at Betcoin on Liverpool to WIN HT @2.73. Sportsbet odds: 2.65

Odds advantage: 40 (8x5)

Running advantage after 9 bets: +467 (+40)
All-time cumulative: +37,438
Running units after 8 bets (3W|5L): +1,534 (+902)
9906  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Query Regarding Hardware Wallets on: September 20, 2020, 08:35:14 AM
It's not whether you can; it's that you shouldn't.

Just to draw attention to this again. Personally would get a Trezor (if only because Ledger isn't fully open source) and then sweep your entire holdings to your new Trezor.

...generate the private keys securely on the hardware enclosure; without internet connection, and without potentially having malware around...

And to this too. Think it's really important to understand why hardware's more secure in general than regular use of clients on a device that connects to the internet.
9907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 20, 2020, 07:06:33 AM
I'm glad we brought Jota because I think that he will be good in that back-up role (and can play both on the left and as a striker) and has experience in the PL as well.

On the other hand, seeing the money quoted, I must feel a bit annoyed that we did not go for Werner then. It's basically the same money, Werner had 2 great seasons while Jota's last one was mediocre at best, Werner has a much bigger resell value and overall represents better value for money.

So far our buys under Klopp were perfect so I'l trust them with this as well, we needed cover and now we have a good player there. But it's a shame that we let Werner go to Chelsea.

Yeah, somewhat agree with value, and Werner's probably a lot more talented than Jota, but I think Klopp's always all about the player's desire as well and the fact that Werner was drawn out and he probably just wanted out to any club, and Jota perhaps more quietly had discussions, probably played a part. Klopp doesn't buy for the sake of, so I have confidence we made the right pick.

The one we did hear about was Sarr and while I rate him well too, it's Jota over Sarr for me, watching Wolves play a lot.

We got new working horses coming in woohoo!
9908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 19, 2020, 06:13:15 PM
I might cash out if Leeds win and depending of the Man Utd squad.

Yes I finished 2nd last season. MoSala in superbru.

PS Leeds continue with stupid challenges in the box, 3rd penalty for the season.

Hope you made that call. Watching the Utd game and I got what I was hoping for. A squad that's rusty af, weak and poor mentality. Pogba was shamefully wasteful time after time, while Zaha and co were energectic and fast.

No United fan here but that VAR is really shitty. OK I think the penalty was fair, since hand not naturally away but I wouldn't complain if it wasn't given. But the penalty retake because de Gea shifted a foot off ? That was a gift for Hodgson. I didn't like VAR before, think I'll like it even less now.

2-1 with 10 mins to go with debut goal for the Dutch Red Devil. Hope Palace can hold out, they shouldn't have let in that goal though!

@rdbase: freebets do get boosted for me... you maybe used up your daily boost? Looks like you and me had it at 1-0 and slaman's got it exactly right so far!

EDIT: Looks like nobody brings home 3 points. 3-1 Zaha. 1 point for us both, feels so unworthy to go for the upset and only get 1 point huh! BTW odds really dropped by the time you took Palace I saw. I got it at just over 10/1

Good to see your post here buddy! Thanks a lot for buying a banner. It added up nicely. I think none of us too expected that we will have this big number of participants but the guys made it possible. I would like to thank everyone who supported us with finance (sportbet.one, you for bitcoinprbuzz.com, efialtis for BTCGOSU - he in fact added up more 0.005 BTC, Betnomi for betnomi.com, still opne banner left though) and all users who helped us to spread the words around especially akhjob, Little Mouse, JSRAW, Vishnu.Reang and some others. Without all those combined affords it was not possible at all.

We are officially 20 now!

I think one reason could be the tourney's very short -- I remember the pools for World Cup had some participants who would never have made it in the normal ones lasting 10 months.

But yeah, happy to have contributed in making this a success. If it becomes bigger next edition, I'll feel happy to have played a part, just like what's happened with the EPL one now!

So far favs ahead eh?
9910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 19, 2020, 05:09:24 PM
I see that mostly in organizational department on the pitch, players move and act more chaotic, with no clear lines when they are defending. Also a change in approach and mentality in players is palpable. They are back to looking like scared kids instead of hungry motherf..rs on the pitch.

Don't know the team in question but I can certainly understand this sentiment and have seen it many times myself. People really forget how important a coach is to a team of 11 players, and a wider squad of 25-30 players, each with their insecurities, and mentalities. That's really what sets a coach apart from others, not simply tactics but the mentality they imbue in squads. Turning scared little shits into fearless mfkrs is no easy feat.

From what I've saw first week and based on feeling for the Manchester teams, I am starting the weekend with this betslip

Nice pick here man. I went with a simple Palace upset today, and guess who I'm picking for the City match up. Really counting on at least one of the Manchester teams to have stumble on day 1.

Did you play last season's pool? I usually bet and pick differently, sort of like hedging myself;)
9912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Federal Reserve Now Targets Inflation Above 2%, Bitcoin Breaks $11K on: September 19, 2020, 01:02:27 PM
True asset inflation is already running at ~6-8%/year.

The Fed is full of shit. How they measure yearly inflation is a lie.

Yeah, if you live in Malaysia since the 1990s, where the government feels so proud to announce annual inflation every year at about 1%, but you see your coffee and meals price go up 10% every year, paying 2x as much in just less than 10 years, then you realize the silly money and economics games that all governments play to keep you less worried than you ought to be. Our faith lies in Bitcoin.
9913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: September 19, 2020, 12:00:56 PM
It is tough to hit those 5 leg multis, that is why we have such a good boost to make us play them. I got that free bet many times and every time I again placed it on 5 leg multi, and I believe I lost every single time. Anyway I don't see you as a multi guy, your game is to hit that long odds against favorite in single match.

Good thing from Lyon screwing is that it has probably done the same to 99% of players and that one remaining percent has probably picked so many surprises that they will end with 5 correct picks Smiley

Yeah, bloody hell they really hooked me for it, I have won it once or twice last season but definitely overall nett loss on those 5 legs! But still, very tempting to think personally that it's because teams haven't been their true selves yet haha.

I'm going to try changing a bit and maybe keeping it to same teams across diff games like I did last season a lot off (strings of same team over 2 weeks for example).

And yes, whoever picked Lyon picked a lot of upsets. No need to be worried about him=p
9914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 19, 2020, 09:51:23 AM
Yeah, COVID does not exist in the UK for financial football problems.

Actually it's "only" a nett spend of 30M... They sold their youth defender to Wolves for about 15M including addons. But still, yes, that means they've now spent 50M for 2 players nett already. Still a hell lot of money but at least we've got Jota whom I rate quite well and Thiago whom everyone else seems to rate highly.

Defender incoming?

Hello everyone! I know zero about cricket (but I personally attended one PK vs India match so I know how big it can get). I never saw so many rounds of machine gun fire at Over 50 and 100 in my life haha!

Anyway, just checking in as a mini sponsor;) -- I didn't expect this one to have so many participants for a short tourney, so well done to you all. Good work Royse, too!

About a few month playing on fortunejack can I ask the community what's a Jackmate for Champions League that is coming for the UCL trounament? is that some kind of promotion or competition for the players?

Like they said, we just have to wait and find out. Jackmate's just their way of saying special promo.

Last season they had a Champions League Jackmate called The Invincibles. You predict all the outcomes for every match, the longer your winning streak, the more you win as freebets. The Premier League Jackmate was Majestic Seven. Pick the scorers for the selected matches.

^ Olympique Lyonnais screwed my ticket too  Angry
usually I don't bet on Ligue 1, and when I do, trying to gain more profits it end like today...

btw, congrats to Bayern on that amazing win

Yeah, bloody Lyon. Reminds me of times when Liverpool were just before and right after Klopp. Crazy possessions but wholly incapable of breaking teams down even though they can beat the big boys.

Anyway, I'm going for a nice Palace upset. They managed it already, even with injuries, but Zaha do up the ante against a United who might, could be, suffering from media distractions? I hope so =p

Bundesliga back. La Liga back. MM no draw strategy back;) You're welcome;)
And Lyon disappointed me again. In fact I had two multi both are 5 fold and in both bet-slip Lyon was common and to win. Lost both slips. In the 5 fold I had other 4 selections were already won. How do you feel when you are that close but one team mess up everything?

We all fell for Lyon
They ruined my day 🤔
Lost over $100 only because of them.

We all did indeed. Third time in a row for me for them. Last one was "just" $10 for the EPL double bet special. I knew something wasn't up, them getting to the semifinal in CL made us forgot how shitty they were in the league.

I lost a 5-leg too Pam, but I only won 3 legs. In fact, it has been a really long time since I hit 5, I must be getting bad at this=p

Damn that would be pretty hard for Guardiola to take  Cheesy... He already got a taste of defeat from Arteta side in FA semis this year. Guardiola has got everyone in his team even he has better squad than Arsenal and if they finish below Arsenal now is gonna maybe take his remaining hairs off his head scratching to question : "Again?".

Well, for all I say, Arsenal is always fun to watch, and I've really always liked that when they play us we both are allowed our styles. Best memory is that 4-4 when you had that Arshavin guy with you, those were the crazy ping pong days! Good luck to you this season, hope to see you back in UCL. And yeah, would love to see that look on his face again Pep. It won't be a walk through the park for any team for sure!

GL to MM guys!
9920  Economy / Speculation / Re: According to Kiyosaki it’s time to buy Bitcoins, because Buffet has dumped banks on: September 18, 2020, 12:38:05 PM
Buffett and Kiyosaki probably sit around with other big boys every now and then, maybe now on Zoom, wondering what to do to make more money. Why not by playing both sides of the money making lines, right?

Banks won't die just because richboi dumps them. Their days may be numbered, but as long as governments are in charge of money, they'll be fine.

P.s. Kiyosaki also said I'm a poor dad, why is he trying to be friends now?
