9922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can BTC.com Be Trusted? on: April 22, 2017, 06:05:57 PM
Hey,

I saw that BTC.com was added to this list: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet (in the web section). Can I trust it? Anyone know how good it is? What features do they have?

Thanks.

Same question also applied to other web wallets listed there. Overall, they are all web wallets.

Thinking it was listed there as featured wallets by bitcoin.org, we can see that it passed some of their standard why it was listed there. If it's worth a shot? For me, yes as long as not for storage purposes.

BTC.COM is re-branded website of Blocktrail.com and I'm sure that they can be trusted. But I don't think that wallet listing on Bitcoin.org can't be main criteria to decide is it wallet trustable or not. Bitcoin.org have listed most centralized bitcoin wallets like Xapo or Coinbase which are known for locking users funds, asking for personal documents and etc, but they removed most popular online wallet Blockchain.info for some unknown ''security problems''.

Expect some personal authentication once you used a legit exchanges in most of the cases. Those exchanges won't run freely if they are decentralized. If you don't like the system, better not to use them.
9923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How bring referrals ? on: April 22, 2017, 05:38:25 PM
Can someone advise me best ways for attracting referrals ? (for dice site)

Try to spread it any other various method since you need traffic to be able to reached those interested people. So the best thing to do is to find some community which have lots of traffics.

Forums - Familiar with your local forum there? There are forum made specifically to a certain country which most of the discussions are general topics.

Social Medias - Member of a group there specifially cryto, gambling related groups? If yes then patience is the only you need.

As you are working on spreading it, you will find soon some other ways that you think can help you spread your referrals. Goodluck.
9924  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Diamond feel? on: April 22, 2017, 05:03:03 PM

Iyong Nworld Product (Im not promoting it, sinuggest ko lang).

Looks like Chicago Bulls is confident in winning Game 3 because of their 2 straight coming at their home but ended up wrecked. With the comeback Isaiah Thomas, Celtics shutdown Chicago Bulls via 104 - 87 win.

But on the other hand, we can see that Celtics really needs Isiah Thomas unlike in the games where this guy wasn't present. I have noticed that Thomas' numbers is not the average he always doing so what more if this guy goes on a rampage mode.
9926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: April 20, 2017, 02:37:28 PM
Yeah, i don't know why many people here still confuse in quantum project isn't because there's a first quantum and scam already? I see that there's a quatum project already and this one is new but i think this one can be succesfull because they have partners/contact in wonderfull and nice xaurum team.

Of course all things must be cleared up before investors will put some money here. Just let it that way since if all things are fine, then it will be fine in the end obviously.

There are newbies and experienced ones here in the community that will encountered this project. Experienced ones knows some deal with the system like this. Just let them asked queries because we all need that especially to those newcomers in this kind of system.
9927  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitfinex is that much more than other sites? on: April 18, 2017, 05:14:19 PM
For those who have still trust and want to continue with Bitfinex then it's up to you. If they will still operate and become more stable then good for you but I just don't want to add some risk in my part that's why Im having a statement like that above and this post.

The recent hack last year is already enough in wrecking my trust against them after using them for years. Regret really happens at the end of the day and I don't want to wait for that "end of the day". Goodluck to all.
9928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: April 18, 2017, 04:55:04 PM
Im seeing a sweep series of San Antonio Spurs against their recent playoff match with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Kawhi Leonard is really a beast after their recent win.

Who on the Grizzlies can stop Leonard? Four Grizzlies have guarded him on at least five of his plays this series; Vince Carter, James Ennis, Marc Gasol and Wayne Selden. Leonard is a combined 17-of-19 against them, with 21 of his 28 free throw attempts resulting from matchups against that quarter.

Also Leonard went 19 of 19 from the free throw line in Game 2, the first player with that many makes and no misses since my idol Dirk Nowitzki’s 24 of 24 game in 2011.
Most likely the Spurs owned the Grizz, 2011 was the only playoff time when they upset the Spurs if I remember it right, but that was along time ago when they are still younger. Now, there are great additions to the spurs and their defense are really good but I am not impress with the offense honestly, Leonard is good but I don't know how they will manage to guard the shooters of the warriors if they will face each other.

Yes that was on 2010-2011 Season and they achieved a surprise upset there coming from the 8th seed bringing down the top 1 in the West.

About the Warriors concern, that should be on their preparations now. I know they have some pointers now after their loss with the GSW in the last phase of the season.

Cleveland Cavaliers 117 - 111 Indiana Pacers
San Antonio Spurs 96 - 82 Memphis Grizzlies

Toronto Raptors 00:00 Milwaukee Bucks
Boston Celtics 01:00 Chicago Bulls
L.A. Clippers 03:30 Utah Jazz

As expected San Antonio and Cleveland are 2-0. Until now, San Antonio is the team that has won more easily matches.
San Antonio, however , the next round will be a strong opponent (Houston or Oklahoma).

Cleveland could instead have an easy match against Milwaukee who surprisingly won with a big lead(+14) against Toronto in the first match of the series.

Don't count the Raptors out just yet because they lost their first game. I don't think Lowry will repeat such poor statline and if they manage to tie the series then the Raptors would still be the favorites. Now I understand that this is a crucial game for the Bucks, getting that second away victory will put them in complete control of these series. I don't understand how the Raptors with the recent acquisition of Ibaka are playing at such low level.

As a Cleveland fan it would be great to face Delly and the Bucks though, we are tired of Toronto!

And yes, like I said in my previous post, we can't based the output on the game just in Game 1. Mistakes and errors are always discussed by every team after their games so I think Raptors will give Bucks a good game on Game 2.
9929  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A project to make profit and promote bitcoin? on: April 18, 2017, 04:29:34 PM
I was always thinking about doing some kind of project that could result in making some profit whether it's in fiat or bitcoin and also promote bitcoin Itself to people. I was thinking of creating a game, and adding it to both AppStore and Google play. I know the competition is tough but I thought of giving it a shoot anyway, what else could somebody do beside creating a game?

Are you serious with this and willing to spend time and money?

Make a marketplace game with a touch role playing game system. If you are fan of RPG games there is a certain section there called Marketplace and it's good to established that via P2P trades and not on the general Market Mall. In that section, people can buy and sell bitcoins. But that is only the side feature of the game as you will focus more on being on its RPG style to gained a boost from number of players. Though this is only can be done via serious business and eagerness to make this possible.
9930  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why you should place the buying or selling orders! on: April 18, 2017, 04:11:10 PM
The newbies traders do think they can move the market price of bitcoin or other trading assets to their favour but professionals and skills traders always analyze the fundamental reasons why they should places an orders to sell or to buy an assets.  Traders should learn that there are fundamental reason why assets should raise and there fundamental reasons why assets should fell in value and their should concentrate on those reasons to traders professionally.

That's why they called newbie. How come you compare the activity of newbie traders to a professional traders. In the progress, soon those newbies will become a professional too or should I say experienced traders as time passes by.

Trading basics can eventually turned into an advance skills that's why just let newbie experienced some errors as that will make them a good traders in their future execution of trades whether to buy or to sell. Even professional traders are making some errors so just go with the flow. Im sure, a newbie that is will to be trading enthusiast will enhanced their strategy that can make their trading meant for a long term purposes.

9932  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you have an idea to invest your bitcoin in offline business? on: April 18, 2017, 03:24:42 PM
if you wan offline business is much idea
you want big business or low business, still bitcoin business or outside bitcoin business
if low business and outside bitcoin business , you can try internet rent, photocopy if you location near campus, top up in smartphone, internet quota , restaurant and more

if you have much bitcoin you can open big business

your right ye its nice to think if you make your own business in outside . My idea first i trade bitcoin in peso because im here in Philippines and in our place need computer shop so i Make business computer shop it would be helpful for students

No doubt that internet business is still on peak and appealing to everyone here in the Philippines. And to tell you honestly, you don't need that much capital to established one unlike in the past. In less than or around BTC1 you can start an internet cafe here and with good numbers and specs of PC.

And there are also companies offering bundle package which you will pay on monthly basis. One good example is PisoNet packages of PLDT. You might want to check it.
9933  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitfinex is that much more than other sites? on: April 18, 2017, 02:02:38 PM
Has anyone tried doing arbitrage? should be easy to make free money by moving BTC there and selling then rebuying back on the cheaper exchange ad infinitum? whats the problem?

That is the concern. Why all of a sudden their rates become like that and really appealing for others to do an arbitrage trading.

And to think that they have a recent problem, it's really doubtful to continue using their services. Well honestly I stopped trading there after their recent issues last year where all my balances turned into their own token. Bitfinex is my first exchanged that I used in trading but today I preferred other platforms after they totally ruined my trust to them.

9935  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: 3 digit game prediction on: April 17, 2017, 09:01:10 PM
This offer really confusing me because I dont understand why would soembody play some game if tehre is no website only a some kind of user with a bitcoin adress.

You don't need to understand the whole thing since that is basically a joke.

-First, not using escrow
-Second, lack of details as if all persons here knows the system of Suertres
-Third, making all people here uneducated and no common sense

The amount of single bet in Suertres here is around 17,000 Satoshis and winnings will be BTC0.08 at the current bitcoin price. So in 100,000 Satoshis, people here can make 5 to 6 bets. Imagine the possible winnings now. And feel much less riskier too since it was handled by a government and not on the system of OP.

For outside PH, escrow is a must but I think OP will not use escrow. Any response?

9937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is your trading strategy? on: April 17, 2017, 08:17:21 PM

In altcoins you cannot afford to hold it for a long term as if price starts falling then there is a full possibility that it may not recover so in that case its good to sell your coins even if you have made some loss to avoid huge loss by holding it longer.

That is really present in most of the altcoins especially those coins freshed from ICO. Taking advantage of their pumps and dumps must be on regular basis since even for a seconds, a big price movement can happen. That's how hard and heavy the price volatility in terms of altcoins.

But there are certain alts that is good for long term holding at least based on my own preferences. One good example is NEM/XEM. Price movement here have slow phase so to feel profit here, it needs lots of bags of purchase. Basically try to be a whale Smiley. Im holding this coin for over a year now which I bought at below 500 sats (others avail this at 300 sats) and now the current price is sitting at 2,000 sats.

There are also other coins that is reasonable for long term holding. Just do some deep research about this.
9938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Global Wallet Market on: April 17, 2017, 07:44:45 PM
I don't know if there a site or a system that can determined the market share of each crypto wallet.

But if there's no thing like that or actually existed maybe we can take traffic shares as one of the factor. Alexa have some detailed information of a certain site, not just traffic but it's inside stuff. I just don't know if that will included the estimate number of users. Although to be able to see that, it was only eligible for those who have an Advanced Plan.

There is also recent news last month about Coinbase surpassing 6 million users. Just don't know how to verify it.
9939  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Bitfinex turning into Mt. Gox? on: April 17, 2017, 07:11:32 PM
We all don't know. But chances are everywhere even for a legit exchanges that runs for a long period of time.

I was a Bitfinex enthusiast back then and this my first major exchanged that deals with my trading activity. But after the incident of hacking issues which include their new own token after the site up (I think before the halving), I stopped dealing with this site and began to work on another exchange (currently @ Bitstamp and Poloniex). Also in the past prior to my bitcoin activity, there are been recorded issues about their security (hacking, breaching etc.) but I ignored them since I really like the site.

Since there is no proven scam activity in their part as of now, I suggest to make some precautions on how to deal with your balances at Bitfinex after their operations will be back to normal.
9940  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: April 17, 2017, 06:33:43 PM

KABURAOT

Then iwasan ang micro transactions at masanay magsend ng bulk. Time for a changed na. Smiley

Dapat worth for miners to pick up ang mga micro transaction and dahil dito it can take a while to be confirmed by the blockchain.

Remember na you don't owned your private keys once you used a web wallet exchanges. Pero since legal company ang coins.ph at transparent naman sila, ang maipapayo ko sa iyo "don't store that much" just in case lang na they will turned into fraud which is possible even sa pinakalegit na exchanges.

Kasi alam mo yung office nila at pwede kang magreklamo pag nagkataon.

May paraan ba?
