9941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: March 09, 2017, 01:48:37 AM
The accumulation is stronger? something going on?  Cool

RChain redemption about to begin.

I do not think Synereo will use Rchain anymore. I speculate that Dor and the development team will use another platform. Their technology stack could be quite beneficial to Ethereum or Ethereum classic. If they go with Ethereum, the better for them and the benefits can go both ways.

@smooth. I stopped syncing upon reading your post. Do we have to wait for another release update before doing anything? I really want to withdraw from Bittrex now.

I also read the roadmap. How far on the roadmap are we?
9943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: March 09, 2017, 01:05:15 AM
@Blazin888888. Yes the move to give IOHK 20% of the mining rewards is questionable. But if you think about it well, the IOHK development team has been working a lot on ETC. There is a saying "always something for something, never something for nothing". It is only fair that they get a piece of the pie.

@krach. Once again I will follow you on that bet on Beneil Dariush even if I think the Brazilians will take their TRT juices. Sash has a point when he said that there is no USADA in this event. I will also bet on Vitor if he looks roided during weigh-ins.

Will Aeon scale better than Monero in the future? With what goals smooth is trying to attain, I speculate that if successful, Aeon could bring something revolutionary in proof of work and the cryptosphere.

Are there plans to list Aeon in Poloniex or is everything just wait and see for now?
9946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES. Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform. on: March 08, 2017, 01:31:30 AM
How is the development of the full nodes going these days? I see there are prereleases on the github and the developers' pace looks like it has picked up and they might have a beta release maybe on the 2nd half of 2017?

what? full nodes were release few months ago or more, I forgot the date.

The downloads available are tagged as prereleases and this is not yet a production release and not quite a beta either. So is this an Alpha release? Correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.
9947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: March 08, 2017, 01:25:57 AM

2017 seems to be the year decentralized digital currencies are getting a push into the mainstream investment sector, and it’s not just Bitcoin. Ethereum Classic, not Ethereum, will be the next digital currency to gain a mainstream private investment fund.
In a somewhat of a mainstream market coup, Ethereum Classic, or ETC, has garnered some mainstream demand, according to Barry Silbert of the Digital Currency Group (DCG).
DCG has an ownership interest in Bitcoin site coindesk.com and U.S. investment firm Grayscale Investments who is responsible for this investment product offering.
“As investors have grown more interested in digital currency as an asset class, we’ve also seen growing frustration with the difficulty in purchasing non-bitcoin digital currencies,” Silbert told Reuters.

That is old news and it did not make a real impact on the price of ETC. But it is good to know that there are big long term plans for Ethereum classic other than development. Marketing will soon be the next step to take the platform on another level.
9948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: March 08, 2017, 01:20:41 AM
This price is a joke.. I'm buying.. Cheesy
Compared to what Synereo has developed yet, AMP is hugely overvalued. It should be lower than Trumpcoin.

Yes, with the project having nothing but promises the price of AMP should be lower. If it goes 10x lower then I might thnk of investing in this. Besides the roadmap what else are they working on? What is the technology that replaced Rchain and Special K in their stack? Can it be seen in their Github?

Your answer to rchain and special k replacement is none
They are targeting and their goal is only on social media
Where are the whales ? I think they even left ! I dont see profitgenerator user anymore. Shout out if you are still here and believe in this project.
People holding amp are sentimental and knows if they sell, this will mean quit a losing money
Amp bubble, paradise for delusional people thinking that there is good project improvement. Since when is alpha being tested ?

That is impossible. There should be something to replace its Rchain technology. If Dor wants a shortcut, why not build Synereo on an existing platform like Ethereum classic? There are good developers there who they can collaborate with.

I am not sure about its history but was Synereo originally planned to be built on Ethereum technology?
9949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Is not Worth More than 5$-10$ on: March 07, 2017, 01:27:47 AM
I think that Ethereum is not worth what price we have right now, it's just for contracts and new members think that Ethereum is big thing...
It's hyped because people think that this cryptocurreny will be used for payments in stores and websites, but actually not.

What you can say?

According to you it is not. According to the market it is worth higher and potentially much more in the future. It is easy to think and say things like what you said if you are not holding any ETH. Maybe you have biased reasons why you think ETH should be lower? You believe you missed the trade perhaps?

@bitfish. Well it is expected that some will also transfer their hashing power to other cryptocoins but it is also expected that others will start mining ETC also. Where else would they go with their ETH miners? I think some have built miners specifically optimized for Dagger Hashimoto.

9953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 209: Woodley vs Thompson Info and Prediction Thread on: March 06, 2017, 12:59:40 AM
Haven't seen the fight vs Woodley and Thompson yet. I'm probably watch it later. But I have second thoughts based on your comments here. It looks like a boring fight. I did not bet but I would go for Woodley if I did and won perhaps. Who's next for Woodley now?

It's hard to see what can be next for a guy like Woodley. He is doing good in his weight division, maybe he should move and try to fight Conor McGregor in his weight. I doubt Conor is going to be able to bulk up to Woodley levels. Somehow even if both are 5'9'', Woodley looks massive. It's hard to believe he is not on some serious steroids.

Tyron Woodley being massive as he is cannot go down to lightweight. He will lose his power and he will not be as effective because his style depends on strength. We have seen Conor move up to welterweight but I think Tyron will knock him out cold. Conor has no chance.
9954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: March 06, 2017, 12:54:13 AM
@Harry Callahan. First of all this is what I really think, this fight is not a real fight. This is an event to hustle money out of the fans of boxing and MMA. Both fighters will have no real motivation to knock each other out. Their motivation is money. This will be a boring fight.
9955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: March 06, 2017, 12:46:05 AM
At these prices and considering the slow development and the lack of a good development team to push the platform to new heights, I can say that LSK is still very much overpriced and it deserves to go down a lot more. Who would be stupid to invest in it right now with having the goals missed and the promises broken.

dzimbeck is a developer so he has an idea what really goes on behind a project. His insights have been very helpful in gauging what kind of a project Lisk is.
Have you totally lost your bleeping mind?

...See what I mean now dzimbeck?    I'm choking on this stuff!
... and thank you for the reply....  Wink makes sense...

No problem. If anyone criticizes a project they should just discuss the important topics. The rest is fluff and doesn't strengthen the argument. I like the concept or else I wouldn't have invested. But still delivery is critical. The biggest problem by far in crypto is projects that raise funds and don't deliver. All investors well intentioned can become "trolls" in response to the fear of their investment being abandoned. So loyalty is the number one quality to look for in a dev.

I am sorry but the team of a project has the responsibility to keep their followers and supporters loyal. The investors have trusted the team with their money that they will deliver on their promises. It is real money we are talking about here and this is no joke. How can you expect loyalty if there are rumors spreading that the project is being mismanaged by Max Kordek?
9956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: March 06, 2017, 12:40:22 AM

I do not understand what the writer of that article is trying to say. He says that there is a clear lack of leadership in ETC but then he would mention that there is a dictatorship going on if someone like Barry Silbert or Charles Hoskinson is trying to take the platform in a new direction. It is clear the writer is trying to discredit ETC and there is no pleasing him. Avoid all his biased opinions.

He's a desperate ethf bag holder is all

He could also be in the payroll of the Ethereum Fork Foundation. There are also trolls who criticize the new monetary policy of making the hard cap of ETC to 210 to 230 million. Do they not realize that after Ethereum fork switches to Casper the miners from there will all transfer to Ethereum classic? Of course they will need the incentives to make ETC more attractive for them.

9959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Ledger Can Sustain 1000 Transactions per Second on: March 05, 2017, 12:55:44 AM
Ledger Can Sustain 1000 Transactions per Second

Since it's centralized, that's not even a huge number.
There are plenty of altcoins that can sustain good numbers, you could have at least found one that's not centralized... Centralized coins are no better than VISA.

True and i see no point in Buying Ledger Coin(s)
Ledger ? Cheesy

I am not one that would laugh and make fun of other people but yes. They did not need to have a ponzicoin made in the network. I speculate that Ripple will slowly back away from XRP since they are developing the Inter Ledger.
9960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: March 05, 2017, 12:31:57 AM
So if the Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather fight ends up the same where Conor cannot break the barrier of Floyd and then have 12 rounds of nothing then this will be another overhyped and boring fight, right. The people will say it is Conor's fault because he cannot hit Floyd.

That was the whole point. I do not care who's fault it is.
