You wouldn't believe what I just found - Bancor Network BNT to Bitcoin BTC Exchange / HitBTC is already trading at 30% up - wtf (........ and that's even before the start of their ICO)/

As promised, I'm back with my verdict if I'd invest or not based on my own sentiment and the answer is no. Another reason against the false assumption of a guy here on the forums accusing new accounts to shill for this project.
Nobody thinks you're shilling, relax.

Something doesn't feel right, I don't know what, but it's also related to the 2-year contract when you bought over cap and since its cap is unknown, this is a risk, as I've said, I need to have liquid currency for an upcoming venture capital.
You misunderstand.. your BNT won't be locked up if you invest after the hidden cap is reached. They simply say that IF the hidden cap is breached within the first hour, the extra ETH capital (not your BNT) will be distributed as follows:
- 20% to BNT Ether reserve
- 80% will be locked in a smart contract for 2 years and used to buy BNT if the price falls below the ICO price. After 2 years the remaining ETH will be distributed according the initial ICO terms.

This is advantageous to you as an ICO investor, minimizing the risk of the price falling below ICO price.

This is exactly what I'm afraid of, so instead of 'misunderstanding' as your interpretation, it's a positive affirmation on what I thought. Why? If the project doesn't succeed and/or fades away over time - for any reason - then:
a) 20% going to BNT Ether reserve is not a net benefit for me as an investor on the long term (2 year contract), other than pressure a price floor;
b) I get 80% of tokens I can't do anything with, because if it was a success, it wouldn't issue BTN.

So in conclusion, I lose 20% + 80% of what I could have invested/traded/speculated in 2 years time of my overinvestment by said use case or worse, lose everything. By seeing the interest in this project, the possibility to fulfill the one hour term is realistic, all the while carrying the risk of 2 years without compensation and being in the dark what the status is of funding.
Instead of cutting the losses on my own during this period, I've no choice but to see it all go in flames if the company is not operating anymore. Remember, this is an ICO, unlike IPO, it's unregulated without any insurance, you have no rights at all. It asks a lot of trust and what I've seen so far, is the most riskiest ico so far. To get at least the trust of investors, you have to show the cap and live update it as the funding goes from start to finish.

I've no problem to invest long term, but I want security in case something happens with the company when we're talking about large investments. That's what regulations are for. In my view, talking about large investments over 2 years time without any rights, you're out of your mind. This is the exact opposite of 'advantageous to you as an investor'. As for ICO investments: At least without this contract, you can short and cut your losses, not withstanding the lack of transparancy at the fundraising.

It's too bad, because the only crypto's I've seen so far with the greatest potential before they had manifested where Bitcoin, Ethereum, Stratis and now Bancor. The risk/reward is too high for me. Thanks again for clarifying my thoughts and feelings. It's clear as day now.

I say, out with old - in with the new! ICO will, undoubtedly, replace IPO in the foreseeable future and visionaries that understand the risk/ reward equation should be the only ones allowed in at this stage!

Investment limits ? what is the maximum and minimum CAP ?

No terms yet - i think  Undecided and I hope they will not put a cap like the others did because it will be over before it will even start. the best system, in my opinion, is for them to collect from everybody over a period of time and then return a %, assuming they meet their target. that way every body enjoy the ICO equity.
They say they will put cap. Not sure they meant money cap or time cap.
Maybe bouth of them. I really wait for this ICO. Tomrrow will be interesting day.

Tomorrow - why tomorrow? Are the ICO terms out?

we will see, but your variant i think is little hard. I hope, ICO will ends in one or two days, project is very interesting, so do not be slow.

i am ready and good to go, but if they'll put a CAP there is very little chance that any of us will be able to invest in time - the whale's will finish it in no time (like the last two ICOs)!

Would it be alive immediately after crowdsale - beginning of July, or they need more time to develop it (would users be available to create tokens after ICO or they must wait additional development)? Also we will be able to buy it in June, I never participated in any ICO so I wondering would price be fixed whole time during ICO or it will be dynamically defined based on the public interest ?

I sure hope so! I plan on moving some of my ETH (bought for less than $12 at the beginning of the year) to bancor as I expect bancor to skyrocket as quickly as ETH did.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: May 28, 2017, 10:51:01 AM
I'm still interested in how quickly coins will go to the market, if I do not have time to buy them, then I will do it on the stock exchange. I think the project will be successful

I am certain this project will be a real success as it is a major game changer. That is, also, why I think this question is VERY VERY important. So, in case the ICO is over before it starts, and that will not be the first time, will we be able to buy the bancor on stock exchanges (for example: poloniex)?

Watching this one closely

We all are, quite intriguing!

How will the price regulation mechanism of Bancor impact and be impacted by the pump & dumps schemes which have always been so frequent in cryptos?

This is actually one pretty cool aspect of Bancor's price discovery algorithm: it makes pump & dump operations a lot less feasible.

See, when you make a trade with a smart token contract, the price is calculated as if you made an infinite amount of very tiny trades. With each tiny trade, the price for the next goes up slightly. So, if you try to pump or dump, the price will rise with the size of your order & you'll wind up paying a price that takes into account the amount you've bought/sold.

Therefore it'll be extremely expensive to attempt to manipulate the price via pump/dump schemes.

I had guessed that, but I'm happy to get this confirmation. One of the major flawns of the whole cryptocoins world has alsways been these Pump and dumps schemes which transform every project into a casino. If Bancor will be able to fix this, mainstream adoption of cryptocoins will become more imminent.

i agree, and it will also shorten the time to market and mass adaptation which i certain will be great for all of us Cool

Support service in telegrams very quickly helped me with my question, I am very glad that people support their customers, usually it is necessary to wait a long time for an answer in bancor everything is fine, if they so work with customers then the company will be very successful, I am very grateful and I wish successes And prosperity

Likewise - great support, prompt and efficient. I also wish you successes and prosperity - it looks like a great project with a bright team.

I hope BTC direct investment in the ICO will be an option.

Why not? anyhow, its easy peasy to change it to ETH - takes no time!

Airdrop Is welcome. I'm tired of asking for money.

Count Me IN, lol  Grin

Do you really understand what is going on here, there is no Airdrop here, the ICO is coming up soon, if you are truly interested in the project ready your Ether tokens because this is going to sell out in hours if not minutes

Well,,, that's exactly what I heard in the previous last two ICOs. And guess what - I was ready, and I am even more ready with Bancor. I am actually so ready that if Bancor will put a pre-ICO wallet for early birds, before the ICO official date, I am willing to transfer 500 units (…..no strings attached) immediately - that is how much i believe in the project/team. Having said that, i'm also realistic and I think the whales are going to swallow the entire ICO within a matter of minutes. I appealed to Bancor, in numerous groups and forums, and asked to put a TIME cap and not money cap so we can all join and enjoy their ICO. We are all here for a better future and yet the rich get richer and we are, once again, left out of the game.

In short, let’s push them to make it possible for everyone to invest as this going to be a mega project.

What sort of money are people keen to put towards such a Project ?

I can not speak for others but I made a very-very good run on ETH in recent months (over 500%) and Bancor is my next target. I plan on shifting a certain % of that but not more than a thousand ETH.

i would put my bets also to eth

to ETH? i would bet that bancor rises more than ETH atleast short term

Yep I think I'll do the same.. Move some Eth into ICO.

Yeah, Ethereum ICOs are becoming really successful, but I just have a feeling that we are closing in on a period where ICOs would start dumping when they hit the market just like late last year but we can argue whales are the ones that hijack most of those ICOs

I think you are right, 'whales are the ones that hijack most of those ICOs'. I hope that with Bancor it will be different!

I think since it was canceled ico tezos most of the funds will go into this project, I would like to have time to participate in this ico there will be a panic for the purchase of bancor

I agree - if there are any Bancor people here, please make sure you give us enough time to participate - kindly put a Time cap that is long enough for everyone to join your ICO!
