1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: November 29, 2017, 11:46:07 AM
According to ICO, the current price is $ 4.5. It is interesting that the price of such a cooperative project does not increase much.
I think this is due to the fact, that you don't need BNT to use the Bancor Protocoll and the Bancor Website. All the transactions can be done in ETH. So BNT is basically the "fifth wheel on the wagon" (as we say in Germany). It is not really needed. The original promise to sponsor the gas for BNT transactions was not kept, so this was the only incentive to hold BNT over ETH.
My guess: The Bancor Protocol and the SmartTokens will thrive but no one will use BNT for this.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Where do you find your news? on: November 26, 2017, 03:26:03 PM
I have a Google alert with the keyword "Ethereum" and "Bancor". It gives me a daily snapshot of the activity around the coins.

[..] If you value teams a lot, you probably should look at the following cryptocurrencies:
1. Blackmoon. They have a manager from Coca-Cola and keep gathering people from different countries with various experience fields. [..]

Having a manager from Coca-Cola really might work better than if he was from Pepsi (not so good), haha.  Just think of John Scully as he almost bankrupted Apple and fired Steve Jobs.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Altcoins Under 1$ on: November 26, 2017, 03:14:47 PM
IOTA looks promising to me. Their technology is brilliant (a way to do crypto without ming an without fees) but I miss the ability for smart contracts. A coin which combines both would be the next killer.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018? on: November 26, 2017, 03:05:38 PM
I Think people are looking for an alternative to Bitcoin, since it's price has skyrocketed recently. Since Bitcoin was the first to kick off the block chain area, Ethereum is the first in its category, concerning smart contracts and will push crypto to the next level. However the limiting factor (for the price to go up) is the infinite number of Ether that will be mined over time. Unlike Bitcoin Ether is not limited in its number.

TaaS (Token as a Service) is a crypto fund and distributes 25% of its profits every quarter - payed in ETH.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you really loved an altcoin? on: November 21, 2017, 01:56:04 AM
Defietly ETH. Rediscovered it after some years of absence to crypto and immediately fell in love with. Changed my forgotton Bitcoin when the price was at 20,-
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for altcoins? on: November 21, 2017, 01:48:34 AM
I prefer paper wallets. Just print the private key, delete the rest and you are good to go. :-)
9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: The World's Online Bondage & Fetish Destination Sub-Shop.com on: November 15, 2017, 01:25:59 PM
Where can I find the option to select Bitcoin as Currency? I could not find it on the website.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: November 15, 2017, 09:22:41 AM
I do too. Its uniqueness (well, sort of) in terms of being programmable combined with its size (marketcap) makes it the #1 of today. The wide adoption on exchanges speaks for ETH too. It might not be thee best but it was the first and biggest of its kind like Bitcoin was - which is also not the best but the firs. Therefore it will be here to stay.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CNX, DATA, XNN, OMG and WOLK incoming transactions on my ETH account on: November 15, 2017, 08:26:48 AM
I have received all kinds of incoming transactions of all kinds of "strange" coins I have never heard of or never seen before.
Such as CNX, DATA, XNN, OMG and WOLK.

Can anyone explain this?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iPhone-app that handles ERC20 Tokens on: November 14, 2017, 08:31:38 AM
status.im aims to support dapps that would support ERC-20s, I believe.  They're in alpha.
Yes, I think could be very promising - I joined their ICO but all these projects take sooo long to fully develop.
Anyways, do you know how to get into their alpha?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iPhone-app that handles ERC20 Tokens on: November 13, 2017, 12:37:48 PM
A few days ago I found something: ELTWALLET (for the iPhone). It seem quite new, so it still has some flaws, however, you can send and receive ERC20 tokens.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: favorite altcoin on: November 13, 2017, 12:22:22 PM
ETH, BTC (Bancor - I like the idea, the coin will have to prove itself as usefull...), TaaS
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: June 14, 2017, 11:53:16 AM
How to withdraw Bancor from app?
you cannot do that yet. They were locked for 7 days.
Is this written somewhere in a SmartContract (if yes, can you point me there?) or is this just what you have heard somewhere?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum enterprise alliance on: May 22, 2017, 10:35:47 AM
I think you are right. In the internet age, the winner takes it all. It is just a matter of time. And it makes sense. There is no second google, no second apple, no second Amazon. Same will happen here. There will be ONE blockchain for smart contracts. This will be Ethereum.
17  Other / Meta / Re: How to attach signature in my profile on: May 19, 2017, 06:44:58 PM
Easy, you just click on your profile then when it prompts the profile page, look at the left side of the screen (if your on your desktop/laptop) and under "Forum Profile Information"  scroll down just near the bottom of the page you'll see there "Signature" , post your signature on that box and scroll down at the bottom and click on that small box that says "Change Profile" (downright bottom) and your good to go.
As far as I understand it, there are restrictions in length of the signature depending on your Status, e.g. Newbie, Jr. Member, Member etc.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin & privacy on: May 19, 2017, 06:33:17 PM
... Better go to localbitcoins.com and look for person to buy bitcoin directly.
Here in Germany even localbitcoins is shut down locally. My assumption is, that they could not comply with all the bureaucracy that you have to go through here.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: May 19, 2017, 06:26:15 PM
I heard from Bitcoin back in 2012/2013 when the price was between 20 and 30 Euro. I still have an old wallt where the transactions read like "50.000 in..." 100.000 out...". I even know a friend who just mined some Blocks of Bitcoin (50 BTC!) just for fun and proof of concept and then deleted them because he thought this was nice but had no future. :-)
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can I do with 0.6BTC? on: May 19, 2017, 06:20:04 PM
What I would do is to trade against other altcoins and maybe back. That ist just like betting on which will be accepted in the market.
