So I ordered a playstation 4 (worth 694mbtc at that time) from purse and a buyer took the order and said that it was expected to arrive on the 13th September. The next day I received a message from kent liu (purse founder) saying that the buyer claimed there was a mistake in the transaction so Kent manually escrowed my Btc. The problem is, 696mbtc was recorded as Spent which means my initial escrowed btc was released and ANOTHER 694mbtc was put into escrow. Thus making my account double debited. I have tried reaching out to support MULTIPLE TIMES for the past 6 days with no response (email twitter etc). I am now out about 1.4 Btc and have not received the item yet. The user that purchased my item was ndowd. Getting anxious here and something seems fishy. Just wanna let the public know. I just cannot believe this company can still be out there when they can just ignore customers like that. Anyone can give me any ideas of what I could possibly do. I opened a topic before this but im doing it again so that everyone can see it when they search on google for purse io. Read more about it on http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2gq7ef/purseio_released_my_btc_from_escrow_without_my/Gotta spread the word about these scammers.

So I ordered an item from purse.io and they double debited my account for a single item (ps4). One transaction was recorded as spent where as another transaction is in escrow. Mind you this is for the same item. Moreover, I have not received my item and upon reaching out to support with multiple messages (twitter, help and email) I did not get any response. It has been 3 days and my Btc is stuck in escrow. From what I've read their support seems to be fairly responsive so I have no idea why I am not being helped. Anyone know anybody I can reach out to from purse that would be able to assist me? This is making me feel like purse has bad management and I'm on the brink of never using them again and going to brawker.com instead. Purse io is probably not as safe as I thought.
Edit: it's been 5 days now and no response. Everyone beware when using purse!

I think another important question is when was the last time you sold coins?

Paypal just emailed me about a new wallet app available on the App Store. From the description it sounds very similar to a bitcoin wallet. Seems like they are trying to create their own bitcoin functionality. This is the description:
The all-new PayPal app is here. Designed to change the way you shop, you can now pay in-store, pay at the table for meals and transfer money to friends on your smartphone.
It's packed full of great features, so you'll find life is easier - and you'll be confident your transactions are secure. Download the app today to discover the benefits, and keep an eye out for exclusive offers at stores near you. You have three ways to pay with our new app:
1. Paying at the table whenever you're ready
2. Ordering ahead so you don't have to wait in line
3. Checking-in and paying at stores helps keep your financial info secure

I understand that in order to prevent fraud, MtGox should check huge btc withdrawals.
However, MtGox should only need a few hours to check this kind of withdrawals. Anything above 24 hours seems totally unacceptable, but definitely 4 days are a clear red flag to me.
Anyone else is aware of similar delays to withdraw bitcoins?
Over 48 hours and nothing in the block chain. Support has stopped replying. Gox sucks

Over 48hours and nothing. Support has stopped replying as well. Seriously beginning to totally doubt gox as a service now

Nancy, Nov 06 10:07 (JST): Hello, Thank you for the email. Please be noted that When withdrawing or depositing bitcoins into your Mt.Gox account there may occasionally be a delay (1~24 hours) depending on network congestion, your internet connection speed and the time required to get 6 confirmations on the network. If you're sending to your computer's wallet, it's good practice to keep your bitcoin client running so it can download the block chain. For those that may not know the block chain is the complete history of all transactions made on the bitcoin network, and as such it can take some time to update and download the most current block and see the bitcoins in your wallet. We request you to check after few hours . We would also check and keep you updated once the BTC withdrawal is processed. Best regards, Mt.Gox Team https://www.mtgox.com[Attention: Please protect your account using OTP to ensure that your funds are safe and secure. Failing to do so makes your information vulnerable to hackers. Please visit https://mtgox.com/security] This is what they sent to me. It's been almost 48 hours. 9.2 btc. Sigh been using gox for so long. Now I'm seriously never using them again once this is resolved

wtf are you people wait for? Xmas!?, fuck this I'm emptying my bank account tonight.
I almost did this back in 2011 when I was drunk. Why, oh why, didn't I. For highly analytical people like me, we make some of the best decisions when drunk. Do you have an explanation for this? Yeah, it stops second-guessing, lets you go with your gut, keeps you from getting bogged down in the details and missing the forest for the trees. It's a corrective for over-analysis, so it only works if you're actually prone to over-analysis. (The right amount of alcohol. Too much is eventually worse, of course.) I noticed this too. +1111111111 couldn't agree more. Also....bid depth looking healthy! So, now we know why bitcoin rates move all over the place: you're all drunk when trading! It sounds like someone that says you should be a little drunk when you drive so your driving is more relaxed. The decision to get drunk can be made whilst sober.....as with any drug. If you are aware of the benefits of the drug, then you are a very clever manipulator of your own consciousness. +1

It just explains how bitcoins work and at the end it says that it might just be a bubble. It also says to be sure to think properly if it is a scam or of it is a new gold mine. Overall kinda bullish news!

It's easy if you have a bank account. Wire to bit stamp took 24 hours for me. I'm from Malaysia. MtGox less than 3 days. Best part is I'm a student in USA so I get the best of both worlds ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Similar documentary WITH facts and references for every claim made. This changed my point of view of the world when I watched it a couple of years ago. Probably piqued my interest in bit coins somewhat. Guess many of you will find this interesting. http://www.thrivemovement.com/the_movie
