1  Economy / Services / Re: Selling Newly Drawn Spider on: September 18, 2013, 03:13:06 AM
I borrowed $2000 from the local Savings and Loan to start my first business at the age of 10.
Payed it off and made $800 each for me and my partner first year, and were shipping internationally in 3 years.

So yea, an 8 or 9 year old could pull it off, and I would be proud to support their entrepreneurial spirit all the more.

May this thread live on.

I know its been a while, but I saw this just as I was waiting for the plane for a week of work in places without internet (yea, they still do exist).
Thanks for the smile, make that a grin, F*** it, make it an honest roll-on-the-floor chuckle (which really made the other people in the "airport" wonder of my sanity).

I'll give BTC.1 for the snake, the spider, the turtle, and a caribou laying on tundra amidst spruce trees, tripping under the northern lights.
Containing "for The ILM" with the hash showing it was signed by 1AndyspAmPZs5BeK4MhRLMsTfgbT7DTQh9 at the bottom left.

Cheers to you.

OT..I know
Will check this out - how long did L2 take? I assume you need to scan drivers license, electric bill, etc?

L2 is online. You just confirm some things from your credit report and you're done.

It does sometimes take a while to transfer. For example, I'll buy, then transfer, but it doesn't hit the network for up to 1 hour. I contacted support and they said that is fixed. Let me know how it works for you.

No, that is L1, (confusing, because they call the first level L0, which is no verification)

L1 is Verify e-mail, verify phone, and verify bank account (the last takes about 3-5 days, you must report the results of 2 or 3 ACH deposits, just like paypal verification)

L2 (which is up to 50BTC per day, INSTANTLY {literally, it took me 6 seconds the first time, and 8 the second, with the withdrawals to any wallet address taking no more than 10 minutes to hit the first confirmation}) takes a 30 day wait (after your first order @ L1 with no issues) and the credit report verification.

so if you just get an account now... you are talking 4-5 weeks to L2

EDIT: I guess you are actually talking about L2, but only if you have already had an account, got L1, and already ordered over 30 days ago is it that simple.

Note: If you are in Alaska, Western Washington, or High Desert Region California (All are locations near my credit union branches); OR near any CU Service Centers member Credit Unions; I can most likely facilitate a BTC sale quickly via cash deposit to my account for a modest fee, with BTC in escrow by either highly-regarded escrow provider on these forums. Availability limited to me not being at my "day job" and the daily coinbase limit.

Whole market is taking a hit today - if it didnt take 5 days to turn fiat into bitcoin id be xfering in more

I feel bad for you, I finally got my L2 Confirmation from CoinBase a couple weeks ago, really loving the 50BTC per day available in my wallet in 6 seconds...

Hell, they dont even know if there is money in my account when they let me walk off with $5k in coin, I could technically turn fiat to coin in -2 days Wink
Too risky of course, and I know for a fact that they have more personal info on me than the IRS & SSA, so definitely wouldn't want to get caught on the wrong end of a deal like that Roll Eyes

Highly recommend their service.

Quick question about overhead.
You mention 3% for management, but I can't find anything concerning pool fees.
Was really wanting to include them in my calculations.

Thanks,

Just looking for some clarity here, as I understand it, the July 31 deadline for tendering AMC shares is moot, and they are supposedly going to be automatically converted on BitFunder now?

I have a few thousand still in the tender, but after the long wait, haven't put the rest there.

Is my understanding correct?
8  Economy / Securities / Re: ActiveMining Overview and Speculation Thread on: July 30, 2013, 07:21:30 PM
Wow, awesome ride!

I tip my hat to the conductor.
Can we have another go in, say, a day or two?  Wink

A small part of me died having to watch from work, streaming through my S3's miniscule screen, with the vast majority of my toys in tender  Cry
Only managed a sad BTC0.34777 gain, my few available battered GI Joes having to battle furiously to plant their flag upon that meager patch of blood-soaked ground.

The screams of the dying shall forever haunt my nightmares, through tiny, tinny, speakers.

Good Show

I have a few shares on btc-tc and want to arb, but Im afraid that when I do, SDICE will pay out, the price will rise and Ill be left holding the bag

How many shares you looking @ divesting on btc-tc? We may be able to work out a favorable trade without having to worry about wait times on manual withdrawal & weexchange.
10  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: July 29, 2013, 10:28:00 PM
Firstly, I can't count. Oops!

Secondly, remember amc shares are being swapped and they could go to btct if people wanted. But let's all just jump to conclusions eh.

Ken?
I think they were probably tendered shares, but ken definitely needs to address this.

Wait, you can Tender your amc shares to a different exchange? where was this info? Can anyone verify doing this?

I have thought that it should be an option, seeing as Ken has to do it manually anyways.

Any input appreciated.

So should we buy these on bitfunder or btc-tc ? btc-tc is 0.006 while funder is 0.0045 why such discrepancy?

Bitfunder doesnt have as much liquidity, so it doesnt react as quickly to news

But there's no difference to the shares? I think I read somewhere that they will be combined into one later?

No, AMC will be Activemining, but the two different markets will still remain separate.

you will still own the same shares, yes, but they will stay on the market you bought them on.

*Edit: You must still submit your AMC-PT shares to ken BEFORE THE 31! for them to be converted into ActiveMining shares

Ridiculously low volume though, while I am a ActM bull, this price rise is artificial

True, and likely quite true, but still a fun ride.

It's certainly fun to watch. Ultimately, the price will go far beyond this, but the retracement should take us back to 0.0045ish. Buying now is like buying btc during the ramp up of the 2011 peak and crash; yes the people who bought during the runnup could have bought cheaper if they waited a bit, but all those that bought (and held from anywhere between $0.01 to $31.91) ended up doing pretty well by today's prices

I couldn't agree more, definitely not buying atm, gonna jump on the fallback with my profits though, I want to have lots of these for the long run.

Price is rising way to fast
Price is rising way to fast
Get out now then Cheesy
I am enjoying the ride with more or less free money, not going to pull the rip cord yet, way to much fun.
I've been selling a few here and there Smiley

It's fun to watch the price go nuts but no chance I'm selling a single share until .02, even then I'll probably just sell enough to cover my original investment.  I'm in this for the dividends... Those guys that bought in early with AM are receiving ~$15,000/week USD.

I'm just not any good at playing the short trades, I'm sure others can profit by it but I just don't have the time to do it.

Ive already got original investment back, and some, still holding quite a few.
Slowly increasing the holding portfolio.

But my "day" job is 3 days on, 3 days off, 12 hour nights...
So in my weekends, I cant help but play the fast and fun game with a portion of my BTC holdings.
I spent years of my youth playing games that were little more than spreadsheets at the core, and they never payed me a dime.
I am having 10 times the fun now, and making ~10% a week fairly reliably.

I swear though, gonna have to get a new keyboard soon, this one is 2 weeks old and the number pad is getting soft already Cheesy
Price is rising way to fast

No such thing  Wink
I'm with you.
I'm holding some cheap options that say the game is on to ~.006, after that, the real fun starts Wink

I have to say, and I am sorta pissed here, my AMC-pt shares transfered to activemining, but where are all my purchased options$$$$$$$$$$$$$?HuhHuh??

Send a PM to burnside.

Did,
hope the shares that others have in reserve due to selling options are just caught up in lag, cause the other choice would suck.

crossing fingers here.

Peace,
Samuel SG

I have to say, and I am sorta pissed here, my AMC-pt shares transfered to activemining, but where are all my purchased options$$$$$$$$$$$$$?HuhHuh??

if this is a smooth transfer, my options should be still mine, just now in activemining?

It shows I still have the options in amc-pt on btc-tc?? I hope (and I am assuming that due to the options not transferring with the shares) that someone is not NOW selling the shares that I have already payed for the option to purchase?

this really needs to be addressed immediately, because I, and I am sure many others, have quite a bit of coin in already purchased options, that now the sellers are free to sell, despite the fact that those shares are supposed to be unsellable.

could seriously use some input here.

thanks,
SamuelSG
