1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Halong Mining Dragonmint Miner Legit or not! Post orders to see if scam!!! on: April 06, 2018, 08:54:35 PM
Mine is still processing too
order date March 6th: B29

So, you placed your order March 6th? But they were supposed to ship end of March? Inow i think they're saying April 5th-7th.

I hope this works out for you. I think the miners themselves are real, bc you can see the hashrate on the network (unless that's Obelisk/bitmain).

PLEASE.ylpkm2, let us know if/when you get any updates / waybills / tracking info from Dragonmint.

The community is watching 😯🤑😢😲😐🤔😕😟😞

Has anybody here bought and/or received this asic from Halong? I figure with these units SET to ship this week, it could finally end "Dragonmint is a scam" debate...
I bought 1 of these and they sent everyone an email that bought one that shipping was delayed due to holiday shipping. They were pushed back to April 3-4th shipping.

Now MyRig is posting that something is wrong with the circuit boards. Will probably use this to make an excuse for additional delays while they mine more coins. 😣
They posted that the b series miners will be shipping out in the next couple days.

I don't know the details, but "holliday shipping" sounds like a fake reason... because, like-- if the shipment were delayed due to Easter or something, then you would get that info from UPS et al... AFTER you had already gotten your tracking info / waybill.

I'm not saying they don't get delivered beginning of April (tho i do doubt the "new" delivery window), but i AM saying the holiday shipping excuse sounds fake to me.

But what do IIIII know?

I personally am still waiting for someone to actually get a miner from Halong. Their specs are juicy but I am hesitant to attempt to order.

It's like a suspense movie happening in slow motion.

"Behind you, BEHIND YOU... it's the UPS guy, he needs your signature."

Could finally put to bed the whole "Dragonmint is a scam" debate... wonder if I could use Augur to bet on it 😉

Why not use a switch pool that pays in the coins you want? I like Starpool.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VerifyUnion Airdrop Round 2! on: February 23, 2018, 04:16:06 AM
Ok, I checked out the website, and from what I can gather:

1) VerifyUnion is an ethereum token.

2) They want to create a network where people can be "verified" based on their financial holdings... while keeping their personal identities private.

Am I way off on both counts?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Modifying KNC Titans To Work with Scrypt N=20 on: February 15, 2018, 09:43:02 AM
I'm not sure if I completely understand what you were looking to do...

Are there different variations of Scrypt N... some that can be mined with Titans, but others that can't be.

And you're trying to modify Titan's firmware update to allow your Titans to mine those OTHER Scrypt N algos?

Am I WAY off here?

Either way, Did you have any luck?

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Experience with Bittawm on: December 28, 2017, 09:31:55 PM
Hello All

I would like a few of you guys that are will to PM me your experience buying from Bittawm. So far so good, I just want more positive feedback from a few more people. Thank You.

I can PM you as well if you want, but figured I'd make this public as well.

I've had great experience ordering from and dealing with Bittawm. Bought 2 Ibelinks from him before they had shipped, got them quickly, they worked great.

At the time, Ibelink only took group buys, so I would not have been able to buy one without him.

Basically Bittawm is great for doing group buys or just buying in-hand asics at a mark up, but less of a mark up than most other resellers. And... the short of it is, he's legit... i haven't used his website yet, but I'm planning on it...
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LEGIT or QUIT List of Safe retailers on: December 28, 2017, 08:18:07 PM
Thank you for the kind words. I'm sorry I have been neglecting this thread.

I really like it, and would like to continuously update a master list based on experiences...

I know it's too late to make that Eastshore buy, but I have had nothing but great experiences from them... i bought a lot of L3+s from them, a few D3s and some PSUs (Liteons and apw3++)

They always delivered, either on time or early. The reason their prices are low is they just bulk buy from Bitmain et al, then tack on a $400-800 (well deserved) premiun. A lot of times after a Bitmain sale closes, Eastshore is updating their site, taking orders.

I do not work for Eastshore, I promise..., but maybe I should. I think they're my favorite...

first off, this topic probably really helped save a lot of money from falling into the wrong hands( i sound like comic book), congrats on that
since we somewhat established the legitimacy of eastshore.xyz, they are selling an antminer s9 for $1699 isn't it a bit cheap, am i wrong? or could they be slipping from grace or this is nothing to worry about

its my first post, so cheers to this bunch

What pool do you guys like?

Where can I download a XIOS wallet?

Thx for help.

thinking of setting up a masternode for XIOS, if I buy some XIOS rn would I be in trouble with the hardfork??
You would need to buy off yobit if you do want to set up the masternode.

The discord currently states that the hardfork will be 1/1/18, and further details will be coming. If you need any help, I am sure someone in the discord will be able to assist.

Can we leave the coins at Yobit and transfer will take place overthere?
Finally found a pool that is working.
Can we use XIOS from now for masternode in the feature?

please join the discord to read the announcement.

for now it's best ot have your xios in a walelt staking or running a MN to receive rewards befoer the fork
yes use xios for now
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | DECEMBER 25 AIRDROPS ! on: December 25, 2017, 11:37:56 PM
Looking to launch a token on the WAVES blockchain, but have a question.

We want the user to be able to write in a memo field. When a user sends an individual token, we want that memo field show up on the blockchain.

Is that currently possible? Would it be easier to do that if we messed with WAVES' api?

Thank you guys so much for your help.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] [min payout 0.01BTC][0%FEES FOR 60DAYS]StarPool - Multi Mining Pool on: December 18, 2017, 09:25:26 AM
Is there a problem with ACP (anarchis prime - myriad groestle). Your pool says "this [software] version starpool uses is obsolete."

Could this be why I'm getting a high rejection rate on the myriad groestl pool with my baikal x10s? I'm seeing 12-24% error rate, tho that error rate has been going down recently.

Love the pool, btw!!!

Just got a notice that Sia is moving their correspondance from Slack to Discord.

https://discord.gg/sFCT3Ar

Not sure why. I've never used discord before... to be honest, i Barely used Slack...
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: August 21, 2017, 10:36:12 PM
The whole process is quite complicated for a "normal person" and that is a huge problem even though the price you have to pay for 1TB storage is more than 10x cheaper. Hopefully with time they come up with simple drag and drop solution otherwise i can't see this thing going to the moon.

Thing is - that is actually entirely optional for them, and if they continue doing the core shit right (decentralized storage that's secure & reliable, and providing robust means to use it, most notably an API), they won't even need to. Other people will. They'll see the incredible resource that Sia is - and the tech people, the devs, and the power users are gonna build atop it, not the grandmas. The grandmas will be using some random service that probably has made it big... but Sia will be the backend for that shit, and that will matter.

That sounds about right to me. I mean there are tons of companies with tons of IT personnel  that I think would gladly suffer the user-unfriendly interface to save 25-50 percent on data storage.

Not to mention all of the companies that can act as middle men between grandmas and the Sia network...

I think the REAL reason Sia's interface isn't very user friendly is the same reason their marketing is lackluster: They haven't focused on it YET.

All of their moves, improvements, updates etc have been about Sia's infrastructure, it's scalability. What they've done so far has been pretty impressive, and if these Obelisks are real / get delivered, SiaCoin will be one of FOUR coins with an Asic secured blockchain.

Do any of us REALLY think that Siacoin won't make it to the moon because they can't make a nice interface? I mean for real tho. Is that what we're saying? They raised millions to secure their network with asics, they established a functioning marketplace of decentralized data storage, they're  releasing updates and new features all the time... BUT they got done in because they couldn't make something LOOK nice?

Idk. Maybe I take interface development for granted. I'm sure (like anything else) it's hard to do well... but i mean... come onnnnnn!!!
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: August 20, 2017, 02:34:49 AM
Siacoin's releasing a Lite wallet in a few days.

http://wallet.luxor.tech/

I don't know how or if this will effect the coin's price in the short term, BUT it's this type of development and activity that makes me a SiaCoin believer in the long term.

They seem to be making these advancements all the time, that will really pay off over time. They haven't made a huge oush in marketing, but I think they're keeping their powder dry till their infrastructure is set up.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: First Asic for SIA - Obelisk SC1 on: August 18, 2017, 03:43:18 AM
But isn't having a stable coin a good thing? A slow but constant growth connected with the growth of the network...

I don't know. This isn't bitcoin. It's supposed to be a service coin. I think the idea of having a steady, stable coin is pretty sound.

Well, price stability is "nice" and all, but it's not a guarantee of future prosperity. The price of a coin is determined by the whims of whoever is holding /buying /selling a coin at any given time. Sometimes those fluctuations are based on logic and reason, other times those fluctuations are nonsensical and arbitrary.

Crypto currency is such a new, undeveloped asset class that volatility is par for the course. Even bitcoin was half its current value a month ago.

If crypto currency survives in general, then a lot of cryptos with real game plans, engaged dev teams, solid tech etc should appreciate in price over time... but there are no guarantees.

SiaCoin Obelisks (assuming they get built and delivered) WILL secure the SiaCoin network. Right now, 2 or 3 Siacoin gpu mining pools COULD join forces and 51% attack their network. From my limited understanding... I think that would be a bad thing.

Network security doesn't GUARANTEE price appreciation, since a coin's price is based on the whims of whoever's trading at the time, but it's certainly a VERY good sign and indicative of a crypto on the go...

SIA MOON!!!
