1  Other / Off-topic / Writing a book - suggest some advice for getting started! on: October 19, 2018, 10:00:42 AM
Hi all, I graduated college in may with my English B.A. and I am going to start a blog in the near future (TBA) but i'd like to start on a novel now because I know I'll be a best-selling author some day (maybe). Anyone have any advice/tips/suggestions for staying motivated?

The advice doesn't have to be specific to writing, you can include mindfulness ideas, etc.

This isn't really bitcoin or coin oriented in anyway but this site is a community full of like-minded individuals in the crypto universe and we should also bond through our crafts and skills.

So calling all writers, poets, readers, thinkers, business-men, philosophers, etc.:

- what helps you stay motivated?
- do you follow any routines?
- what do you write/read about?
- do you think writing is an important skill to have in the crypto world?
- what are some business/art/creating/thinking books?
- who inspires you?

Feel free to reply with names of your favorite authors and poets please!

3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fork gone! BTC to $10k in 2017 guaranteed! on: November 08, 2017, 06:25:44 PM
I have watched BTC go from 2-3k in June 2017, 4k in July-August 2017, and 5-6k between September and October, now it is November 2017 and it is currently 7.5k at this very moment. There is no doubt that with the way of popular demand and bitcoin causing curiosity to the masses, about it spiking to 10k by the end of 2017. Hell, itll probably be 10k by the end of the month! here's to hoping <3; we can use the nonexistent fork to eat all of the bread we will be making. #happycryptolivesforthewin

This sounds interesting but I am afraid that here in the US users would probably not gain 100% transparency due to the government's collection and sale of our cookies. Through these we become vulnerable to random ads, spyware, etc. great concept though. I long for a world that prioritizes security and privacy over profit and advertisement.
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Communism: Pro and Cons on: August 19, 2017, 06:56:00 PM
Communism literally derives from "commune" meaning public, ultimately leading to become apart of the political party where power is meant to be communal or public. The "good" of communism is the fact that the gov. is controlled by the people FOR the people and not supposed to benefit any one person individually. The "bad" of it is that human error comes into play and with power comes possesion and lust for more; and to always be in control. So someone in power in a communist society can easily say fuck the people. It is not the system that doesn't work, it is the people notworking with the system. It is not the people that do not work, it is the system. We need to give rid of the social construct that is the government.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people like Trump? on: August 19, 2017, 06:51:54 PM
People like Trump because he is a monsterand for centuries the beast that is white culture was laid dormant due to civil rights and everyone had to hide their true feelings. Our president allows the people of this country to act out exactly as he does so there are no more boundaries and all of the racists that were in hiding can now emerge and be completely accepted---granted, with some backlash butnotmuch because america was built on systemic racism. Our very constitution allows old white men to take back "their" country at any point in time. There are so many loopholes because of this.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Christianity is Poison on: August 19, 2017, 06:45:31 PM
I LOVE OSHO. I agree with the fact that Christianity is poison but it is not alone. All religion is poison and made up to control the minds of minorities. It is so that people stay in check without being monitored, because they have a fear held over their heads that holds a dominance giving them incentive to follow rules and avoid "sin".
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty] bitJob: Decentralized Student Marketplace - Bounty Program on: August 16, 2017, 08:39:47 PM
Hello Bounty Participants:
After much consideration, I have decided to split the bounty campaign into two parts, the presale and the general ICO. The original bounty campaign is now CLOSED. If you participated in the old campaign, I will release the updated sheet from the old campaign soon.

Twitter/Facebook:
It will require a few weeks to finish tallying up the 1500 plus Twitter/FB feeds. Plese be patient, this will be completed in time.

Signature Campaign:
This is updated, but not released. I will release the document within a few days, once I have rechecked the posts and stakes. For those that contacted me directly with communication issues from the middle of the campaign (per OP), you have been credited.

Slack/Telegram Bounty:
If you participated in either of the channels, as per the OPs rules, you will be credited. This means simply signing up is not enough; if you actively participated on the channel, I will check and assign you credit.

Blog/Media Submissions:
These will be graded according to quality, credited and published at the same time that I release the update signature campaign results

Translations:
These will be graded and credited.

New Campaign:
I will be posting a new Bounty thread with rules for the second half of the campaign. The Translation and Slack/Telegram features will not be available in the next campaign.

This campaign is officially closed. Contact me on this thread for address edits/line corrections to the old form. I will post the link to the new thread in this thread when it is created.

Contact me via pm, or on Telegram (@onceler) if you have any questions about these changes.

Thank you.

Just saw this, I will reapply when the new link is up! Thanks Smiley

Thank you so much for this amazing opportunity. This was my first signature campaign and I have to say that it was a great experience. Removing the signature now but if you or anyone else ever needs something in writing/translated to english I'm the girl for the job <3!!! Great work guys! Love this site.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why can't religious people spell words correctly? on: August 12, 2017, 10:34:10 PM
Religious people usually make so many spelling errors because they do not focus on the educational aspect of getting a word out. Many of them are uneducated and give their problems to "god"; which never solves any problems EVER.
11  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] First in the world Blockchain Chat! on: August 12, 2017, 10:12:02 PM
This sounds like a fantastic fucking Idea. I literally just got the bitcoin core blockchain to download onto my computer after 4 weeks of waiting and to find out that I was kind of alone in the world of anonimity blows. I would love to be apart of this plot! Also good luck with getting others to also comply.
12  Other / Politics & Society / Re: purpose of life on: August 12, 2017, 10:07:28 PM
The purpose of life is to definitely exist, life is a game that fucks you over in the end. Energy isn't created nor destroyed so when we die we return back to the atoms in which we were built with to then exist as we are here to do.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is a good time to invest in altcoins? on: August 12, 2017, 09:59:32 PM
Basically never put all of your eggs in one basket when dealing with the world of bitcoin. Always have some lefover/ as a backup if bitcoin prices soar. I wouldalso love to invest in an altcoin so that was a smart idea to buy bitcoin and split it into 10 different altcoins. I am probably going to start with 10+ as well due to the fact that if you also do not take risks this world will eat you alive while you watch others make what you could have had.
14  Economy / Services / Re: how to do a signature campaign on: August 12, 2017, 09:40:57 PM
I am not entirely sure how to manage a Signature campaign but I do know that Bitcoin core allows you to encrypta signature for some kind of credibility. You must get together a group of trustworthy people as well. Good luck on your journey and I hope this helped! Glad you got so many replies because I will surely love to invest in my own coin one day and the signature campaign is the best way to advertise.
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people hate? on: August 12, 2017, 09:36:37 PM
We feed the wolf of hate unintentionally, energy is contagious. What give off is what we get and vise versa. The reason people feed this wolf is because if their energy takes a shift due to someone else's energy not being in control, they do not have control over it because it is not their energy. we have to be careful who's energy we take on; most of us are walking around with each other's energies.
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Atheism made me an Extremist on: August 12, 2017, 09:23:47 PM
First of all, this post is unsuccessfully trying to convert peopleto the way of jesus. This is not the way to go. Secondly, if you were a real atheist it would not make you an extremeist, I believe you seriously misinterpret the meaning of atheism. You do not believe ina deity, this does not make you a bad person and the devil has nothing to do with you being a shitty fucking person. Jesus does not make people the way that they are, people choose to be a certain way for him.
17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What do you think of North Korea? on: August 12, 2017, 09:18:58 PM
I believe that North Korea should be feared to an extent. America continues to taunt and ridicule Kim which is only adding fuel to the fire even if he hasnt developed the right kind of misile. He obviously still has a reason to continue and bully america back. His motivation is our hate.If we didnt pay as much attention to him as we do, he's similar to a child and will attempt to gain control which will ultimately make him lose control in the process.
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: August 12, 2017, 08:09:42 PM
Atheists do not hate religion, many of us hate the fact that religion brainwashes people. You are apart of a common herd of sheep if you choose to go down the route of religion. It does nothing but enslave through confusion without question; if you question it you are a sinner.
19  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Smart Bitcoin Investments - the #1 source for Bitcoin investing knowledge on: August 10, 2017, 01:16:37 AM
This is a really great fucking idea! Omg. More people should learn how to invest, hopefully BTC and other cryptocurrencies can oout-do the banks and third-party sharks. I love the fact that we the people of bitcoin control our own transactions. Good luck with this, I am definitely going to check out the website.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do people feel so ofended by everything nowadays? on: August 06, 2017, 09:33:58 PM
It is not that people are becoming more offended these days, it is the fact that people have become rude and if you start to care you are degraded and looked at as weak. We are humans and allowed to care about our feelings. Those dismissing feelings should not be allowed to get away with it, that is a reflection of the anger that they hold within themselves.
