December 21 the platform goes real money LIVE to everyone. When people start seeing the profit this platform can generate the masses will start to flow in. I wanted to give my opinion on the project because, when you have many 1000's invested in a project, that is what you do.

I will cast my vote (yes) and let the chips fall as they may.

Long time lurker. Finally, something that is actually asking for community input, thought I would give some.

I am hopeful that you are correct and that 5 NEM is worth 5 million, but even if that is the case. We need innovation to attain such lofty goals. These massive funds were set aside for this very purpose. I don't see the benefit in keeping them tied up.

More important questions were list above. Such as:

How does this increase the value of NEM?

How will the community benefit?

Will this broaden the potential adoption of NEM? etc etc etc

Questions like these are more important than the question of whether or not to use the funds, IMO.

One thing to consider is that we are all assuming that NEM is going to INCREASE in value, however, that is not a given. This organization is taking some risk that the NEM they gain from this work will not plummet and they will have received much less money than expected. Nothing is a given in this market. Just a thought.

I would argue that this is a critical time in the history of NEM. Many cryptos are racing to become the chosen Blockchain/coin, innovation at this juncture will help drive adoption. If no one adopts NEM it doesn't matter if we have 1 trillion in the DEV fund if no one is using it. I say go for it.
