I am curious. How do you see profitability of PIRL masternodes?
13 seconds between blocks, 2 PIRL for MN from each block. Looks interesting. Smiley

well... no, it's only 1 pirl per block, half of the reward goes to the devs.
at the current rate that would mean between 40 and 50 pirl a day

Hey Devs

Is there a possible problem with the login at https://poseidon.pirl.io ?
My login is not working, and also password recovery is not showing up if I click the link.

I tested it on two different systems with multiple browsers. Seems like the back end to the interface is not answering.

Can you confirm this problem?

thx
Ovski
Login with your username (not your email !)
Password recovery is not yet implemented (it should be done in few days). If you lose your password please contact a dev on discord.

Thank you sir, worked perfect!

I'm testing SM OS for a week. In 75% of cases after reboot I get freeze on black screen during linux loading.
While booting from power off state is fine in most of the cases.
I use ASUS Z270-P motherboard with 8 Nvidia 1060 GPU.

Has anybody faced such problems?

yes, I have exactly the same problem. I've got 3 rigs running and all of em have this problem (all the same hardware)

Asus Z270-A Prime
6 - 8 ATI Strix RX 570

He is selling a rig resetter that can handle this as the reboot sequence is including a delay.

I dont have one as I'm working on my own version, but this should help you.

It looks beautiful. You should have gone for open panels though.
How much hashrate are you getting?

Thank you   Cheesy
What panels do you mean? The sides of the casing? Well we went for closed design on purpose.

Total hashrate? hm... hard to tell as they are not all going for the same coins. But calculated it should be around 2.1GH/s for ethash. But that is clearly a wild guess Wink

We got standard open frames in good quality (aluminium) including pre-screwed holes, screws and spacers in Switzerland incl. 6 Risers for less than CHF 300,-- so i think you should think about your calculation again.
A closed frame just raises the noise level as you need faster fans to get out the heat from such a small box.

yes, we now realised we are totally off the price range. We have to recalculate and see if we still want to do this at the given prices.

As for the closed design, we have to prove you wrong. This design is sucking air through the casing and is working very well. There is a tower of 9 casings running inside a closed wooden frame. At the backend of this frame is a industrial fan attached sucking the hot air out of the room. If someone is interested I could put some pictures only of this setup.

With this setup your heat is not spreading, you can control where the heat is going and deal with it.

We didn't want to go with threads in the aluminium so we used threaded rivets. This way we can easily fix damaged threads if a customer would hit a screw to hard.

Way, way overpriced compared to flex design: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1921659

This doesn't include the fans, grills and risers but even then it's a much better value proposition.

I see your point... I don't know how he can work at this price level. Probably doesn't take him very long to build one of these casings. We'll have a hard time getting anywhere close to this price  Undecided

Fyi,

Gray matter make these cases for 550USD inc risers so i would re-check your pricing.

Thanks, we will consider a price change.

Hello Everyone

About half a year ago a friend of mine and I started to build a mining rig to setup a little mining farm. Currently we got about 12 rigs up and running and are pretty happy about it. Shortly after we setup everything, a neighbor has seen our farm and asked if we could build him two of those casings, and so we did.

Just for fun we built some more and put them on an online market platform like e-bay here in Switzerland, and in a very short time we had sold around 50 of those casings.

Currently we got some of them left, so my friend asked me to put a thread up here on bitcointalk to find out if there are people on here that are interested in such a product.
We also would like to know what you would expect from such a product and if there are any features that are currently missing that we should try to introduce.

Here I'll link some pictures of the current release:

The casing is made from aluminium and is including metric m3 screws with a hex key head. You'll need a 2.5mm hex key. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hex_key)

Features:
  • Up to 8 GPUs (We mostly build the 6 GPU version but we also have it running as 8 GPU in our own farm)
  • 6 riser including special 3d printed insulators
  • 3 x 140mm fan with grill and speed control built into the casing
  • Screws included for 6 GPUs (again we can increase this to 8 GPUs if you like)

The price for the 6 GPU version is 690 Swiss Francs or about 720 USD, there currently is no price for the 8 GPU version (shipping not included)

So please, if you have any questions or suggestions fell free to answer this thread or send me a PM.
Currently we don't have many casings left so I'm not putting up a sell thread but if you are interested in buying a casing please send me a pm and we can try to sort things out.

Thank you

Is there a problem with the burst wallet blockchain? I tried to download it as zip file and only got some kb of download speed. Downloading the chain directly from the wallet doesn't work either. Now the db.zip file went offline and I can't even start the download. Is this a known problem or just bad luck?

I would go to one of the BURST sites and ask your questions, or use the online wallet.

I did try to use an online wallet. I use one at burstnation but I had the same problems. The Wallet forked and transactions are not possible. Not form bittrex nor a faucet. It's like the whole damn thing is offline. But others can mine, so it has to be my fault.

I'm amazed I can't bring this to work... strange coin...
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: New NVIDIA GPU Mining Chipset NV P106-100...which model? on: June 14, 2017, 08:32:35 AM
http://cryptomining-blog.com/8784-seems-like-nvidia-is-making-a-video-card-especially-for-mining/

"The Nvidia GP106-100 mining GPUs will not be available on the regular market to the regular users apparently, they are going to be sold only in large volume to big customers such as cloud mining companies like Genesis Mining and/or other big private mining operations."

so, this is not open for retail order & only target big fish like genesis & mining farm unless they buy bulk quantity.right?

I'd say it is available for retail: http://shop1.heiprotec.de/PC-Hardware-Komponente/Grafikkarten-NVIDIA/Palit-GTX1060-P106-100-6GB-Mining-EDITION::2092.html
But I'm not sure if it is a good choice for a private mining.

If you set up a farm with 1000 rigs with, lets say 6 cards each, you'll end up configuring 6000 cards. Do this with a rx 470/480 or 570/580 you are going to end up doing bios upgrades that take you like, lets say 10 minutes per card, so this would be 60'000 minutes. Or in other words 4 months of 8h workdays if you work every day.

But if you can just plug this card into your rig and hit the play button, well that would be a big + for farms.
For my private use I'm going to stick with my rx 470 or the upcoming Vega as I can take my time for each card to run the best setup on it AND sell it to a gamer after I'm done using it.

If a farm is done using the GP106-100 it will probably go to into a recycling bin.
