2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: July 04, 2017, 05:39:02 AM
I don't think there is any problem in that, if bitcoin does go mainstream as allot forecast, it getting used by normal by people and can even be used like a credit card system to automatically deduct fees when paying.
Generally anyone with internet access/PC and interest can use bitcoins.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin really need an ATM? on: June 13, 2017, 06:54:20 PM
even now atm's in any place and everywhere is better than using any other method to exchange btc, the fees are lower than combined bank transfer and exchange in btc exchange fees. now in us and canada as well as part of europe and asia, atm's are becoming a leading exchange method.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Litecoin on: June 13, 2017, 06:17:13 PM
I expected people to compare BTC to something going mainstream like either ether or monero but LTC already is late in the crowd, let alone fast rising in 2017 but if it just maintained itself behind BTC, ETH and even DOGE that would be a relatively good success, Compared to ETH, LTC offers nothing much more than BTC is already providing.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of people that treat Bitcoin solely as an investment? on: June 13, 2017, 04:13:54 PM
I don't agree to that at all, BTC is a currency more of an investment and even though I keep some as an investment I actively use BTC in this forum and in any website accepting it, The meaning of a currency is being used, keeping it as a cold investment isn't close to it's true nature at all.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Small fortune, now which country ? on: June 13, 2017, 03:38:30 PM
if you have at least 1 million dollar, then you would most likely be able to move to a first-world high class traveller country like Spain, Italy and one of those styles of countries, if less then something like Thailand and Malaysia are options, Australia if you could is a great choice.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it worth spending time collecting it? on: June 13, 2017, 03:01:23 PM
I think so, even the small amounts from faucets can actually worth it on long time, I collected some coins through 2014 and the total amount was worth around $100 or so at the time, later it was worth thousands of dollars in 2016 before, I didn't keep it at that time, but that's the idea mainly.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: solution to unconfirmed and stuck transactions on: June 13, 2017, 02:29:25 PM
The known solutions for this are simple, stop rebroadcasting the TX and if the wallet is automatically doing that, close it. That should make the TX disappear in few days when the nodes reset, and you will have the balance again to spend this time with better fees.
Electrum allow the user to resend with better fee to the same address, not a double spend but a higher fee TX, it's a built feature in Electrum.
if you use core or armory, using a double spend can work in some cases, and hence sending a higher fee TX.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: June 13, 2017, 01:09:05 PM
Trading is the main accepted method to get additional BTC but it's a risky investment that can result in a loss a well
Gambling, although not being recommended.
Cloud mining is an additonal way, although becoming very less popular right now
Faucets and altcoins being given and distributed through captcha.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you keep your bitcoins? on: June 13, 2017, 12:38:35 PM
I've been using Electrum for a year since I entered BTC, the amount of GB's and time with a medium-level internet access is few days of downloading and a 100 GB which is too much fro Core. Electrum has been stable and efficiently working for years, and I can even import the wallet anywhere with the secret phrase, so I find it very efficient and sufficiently secure.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best source of bitcoin nowadays? on: June 13, 2017, 11:28:59 AM
With the exception of actually buying it through exchange, The best method to get profit over existing BTC is trading, Both USD/BTC and BTC/Altcoins trading can work but both require skill and training to perform as good as possible.
HYIP's, Ponzi's, Matrix, MMM, etc... are all bad investments as they mostly lead to loss of invested money.
if you are starting without BTC, Then Faucets and Get paid to complete tasks websites, as well as designing, coding, translating are the best choices.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries launching their own cryptocurrencies affect bitcoin? on: June 13, 2017, 11:03:20 AM
I've been following this since Ecuador launched their's a while ago, Overall I think it would be great for BTC, because these coins aren't gaining much success and lack the meaning of cryptocoins of volatility and decentralization, but in the same time it makes usual citizens accept the idea of Crypto easier, and when the country legalize BTC then BTC would get massive adoption instantly.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are you using low fees? on: June 05, 2017, 08:50:51 AM
Except for no-need to urgently payments, I send with them with at least 200/s when is congested and normally 0.0002 or so when the network is normal.. it's not bad when you don't need the coins urgently "and can easily rebroadcast them if they expire" however when you want a confirmation soon a decent fee is a must.
