1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Butterflylabs Huge SCAM on: March 28, 2016, 09:58:45 AM
This motherfuckin' piece of shit no longer mentions his affiliation with Butterfly Labs: https://www.linkedin.com/in/bruce-bourne-637aa43
Well, it's certainly interesting that Bruce Bourne is hesitant to mention his affiliation with Butterfly Labs (BFL), given that the checkered history of Butterfly Labs (BFL) could be construed as a stain on the reputation of an esteemed Harvard grad like Bruce Bourne. If people were to Google Bruce Bourne and the results showed that someone like Bruce Bourne was heavily involved in the unethical and unlawful business practices of a company like Butterfly Labs (BFL), they might question the suitability of someone like Bruce Bourne to hold positions of responsibility in other companies.

So I can see why Bruce Bourne would omit any reference to Butterfly Labs (BFL) in his LinkedIn profile. The only question is why Bruce Bourne, formerly of Butterfly Labs (BFL), thinks anyone uses LinkedIn ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I beg to differ:

daylight robbery in my opinion.
To be fair, it's at least the finest example of a turd-polishing attempt I've ever seen.

We're really, really sorry about everyone who feels ripped off because they sent us money and didn't get anything in return. To get your compensation, please send us more money!

Fool me once, shame on you. Try to fool me twice, you must be Alex Sovu.

Well, this is something new. The HK police replied me with the following:

The director of 'Black Arrow Ltd' is located for enquiry. After
enquiry, he is willing to deliver the product to you but refuse to refund.
If you accept to receive the product, you could contact the company by
email directly or inform to the director to contact you by me.

I received the same thing, and explained the problem with that with the investigating officer.

I would suggest everyone who has been robbed by Black Arrow contact them and explain your situation and what happened to you, so they get enough witness statements and evidence to further their investigation.

Dear Sir,

The director of 'Black Arrow Ltd' is located for enquiry.  After enquiry, he is willing to deliver the product to you but refuse to refund.
If you accept to receive the product, you could contact the company by email directly or inform to the director to contact you by me.

2.    Please feel free to contact me by email
mkdist-dcs-1-office@police.gov.hk.

Best Regards,

DPC 1196 Mr. TANG
District Crime Squad Team 1
Mong Kok District
Hong Kong Police

I just sent a fairly long e-mail to Constable Tang, outlining the entire sordid history of my transaction with BA: delays, promised refunds, defective hazardous products, broken promises, obfuscation and lies, lies, lies. I referred him to Constable Law in the Cyber Crimes division, who was handling my case but said he couldn't locate Sovu. Hopefully the two of them will get together and exchange information.

What total bullshit. Their hardware is completely useless by now (and has been for some time) - even if it doesn't explode and burn your home down.

One side-effect of them cancelling all their "super" future projects (scrypt miner, 14nm chip): the miserable cocksuckers have plenty of time to delete unwanted posts from their self-moderated topic.

Too bad they don't have any control over this one. Poor dishonest cocksuckers.

And maybe it's their new 14nm chip that has them so busy.

tapeout was supposed to be December, with release in May 2015, from what I remember.

14nm chip has been cancelled.

So have refunds.

So have ethics and morals.
Those were never there to begin with.

That transcript will certainly make for interesting reading. It should become available to the public in about 3 months, shouldn't it?

The only thing that puzzles me, given all the BFL cheerleading and lying that Zerlan did on various forums - especially BFL's now-defunct forum, but this one as well - is why on earth he is merely a witness and not a defendant. Surely a CIO/COO of Zerlan's quality was offered a small share of the company in exchange for his services and (allegedly) low base pay, wasn't he?

It's almost a shame that Schlock, Blue Crappy Pants and Zerlan's various sockpuppets have abandoned us. Their cognitive dissonance was amusing at times.

Are you starting to see what's going on here?
You're a homophobe?

I usually appreciate your input, but implying that Sovu's psychopathy and thievery is somehow connected with his sexual orientation (no matter what it may be) is WAY out of line.

Say what you will about Minersource, but it seems like they were at least trying to do the right thing in the winter/spring of 2014 when this giant clusterfuck started - namely, refunding people whose orders had been delayed due to BA's repeated lies.

Not even close. Minersource refused refunds to as many people as possible.
I suspect that was on order from BA - or at least a message from BA that they would not credit Minersource for the refunds they gave their customers. IIRC Minersource refunded a few orders initially, then stopped.

Can't say the same about Sovu and the rest of his criminals, who relied on dishonesty and obfuscation from the start. According to HK police, Sovu's flown the coop. Hope he gets fitted for a pair of concrete boots before he's taken for a swim.

Yeah, these scheming assholes are playing the whole investment vs. consumer purchase thing full to the hilt.

When I made my reports to the Hong Kong Police, they said the "main office" was pretty much a front and all the manufacturing and management facilities are located in the PRC. No doubt some provincial chieftain is holding his protective hand over the whole operation, in exchange for various bribe money.

I hope he (and Alex, Cristina, etc.) are shitting their pants at the current corruption crackdown. It's only a matter of time before they scam the wrong guy, then it's the firing squad. The Chinese don't fuck around with fraudsters.
