I believe the safest investment is education. Portable, cannot be confiscated and, above all else, makes you look at the world with better perspective every time. My modest income goes to my sonīs education first. Then, I donīt have curtains or other niceties at home so I can leave him a few ounces of silver, some Bitcoin and, I hope, a fully paid home by the time I am gone. But nothing can compare to the furniture he is getting between his ears.. and his childhood memories.

Hey buddy, welcome.. Scrap a dime here and there to get some Bitcoin. Just a little, everything starts with a little step..

Just a quick note to let you know that I was whitelisted and waiting the iCO, but they *forgot* to include ETH and ETC in thae payment methods... THIS IS AN ERC-20 TOKEN, GUYS!
They are saying in the Telegram group that it will be fixed in perhaps minutes, perhaps hours...
Just saying, all the business model revolves around IBM Watsonīs A.I. ... makes me wonder what they would do with my money if I follow their investment advice.
I am backing off and saving my hard earned money for something else.

I know this is an old thread, and perhaps I am not even answering to the OP, but..
At the end of the day buying (as opposed to investing) in Crypto, is believing more in them than in Fiat and the banks.
I am still shorting the banks and current system. No matter if Ark, Sia, Waves, et cetera are now down. They will do better than the common alternative.
HODL!
Why do you think that e.g. Waves or Ark are down now..? It maybe their natural market price.. Agreed.. I would not have the faintest clue on how to evaluate the real market value of a crypto, and perhaps they are way overvalued right now. That is, right now as in "at this particular point in time". What I think is that banks are pretty much done and they know it.. so the lifeboats are hard assets, cryptos and awareness. Ark, Waves, Kin.. I donīt care.. get plain vanilla Bitcoin and then choose your moonshot if you will. Many of them will be more valuable in time. Much better than Fiat for sure.

Good point, but the main issue is: do you need the money now?
If so, convert to fiat but just as much as you are in need of. If not, let it grow.
Makes sense?
First and foremost, stop spamming the forum if you have nothing tangible to contribute. Secondly, it is as simple as it sounds. Buy and HODL, that is just how anyone can make money. I am sure even if you tell an ignorant man that, they will simply understand without issue. Dear fasdorcas, It is a tangible contribution, as you put it. I understand English must not be your first language, but please be careful with your words. Jimi.

I personally hold Ripple, if nothing else, because they have sold the project to a lot of banks that hold a lot of money.. At the end of the day, everyone bitched about Windows and the glitches and whatnot.. but few people took the time to learn to code. If regular people are going to get into crypto in some way, I think they will start whiith what they think it is easiest, tested and proven in their eyes.. a crypto used by bank because banks are what they know, and everything else is funny money in their eyes. So Ripple it is for mass adoption. Then I will sell and keep buying Bitcoin.
But then, I am just a bush pilot.. so what the fuck do I know...

I am not a tech savy guy, just wanted to congratulate you on talking the big step..
Also, you might want to look up how to make yourself a "paper wallet". If you intend to invest instead of trade, I have been told this is a good option.

I read about this yesterday. I hope this gets sorted. It really does sound like an ugly power struggle. One would have thought that these things are discussed before taking investor money. Or it might be a case of them being way more successful than they thought they would be. Either way its bad for Tezos.
They decided NOT to have a cap.. to me that sounds like a plan that is not made yet. If they did have a plan in place, they would have figured out how much money they need, how many coins are issued.. etc.. No hard cap= they just want lots of money

I got an email this morning, asking me to log in with my seed to my ether wallet. Allegedly, if I didnīt, I would be using the old Ether Blockchain and thatīs horrible and blah, blah..
Just spreading the word of caution.
