Oh yeah, that's what we need.
For Facebook (the NSA's friendly right arm), to track Bitcoin transactions and addresses.
The whole point of BTC is to avoid that....
DUH !!
When you sign up for MtGox or any of the other exchanges, you have to hand in bank statements, utility bills and government issued ID to people you've never met before. You don't think the NSA can see that? FWC just needs to know if you're a friend of the seller. And Facebook Connect does not mean the site has to give Facebook access to their database. They can't see what's going on within the site. It's just used for authentication to see if you and the seller/buyer are friends.

Good idea, but remove the online wallet. I don't want my friends to use webwallets.
I'm looking at ways to encourage users to download the QT. There's also the issue of getting them around the frustrating realization of having to download the entire blockchain from the beginning.

Leek, do you have to send in verification or prove who i am, some sites have the KYC know your customer policy which i dont like because by sending in documents the purpose if anonymity which is the whole point of bitcoin is defeated. I will take a look at friends with coins since i need a site, but can you help me with that question
No, you don't have to send in verification since you're not buying BTC's from the site but from people who you might know or who your friends might know. The site connects you to those people.

Where can I find information regarding the regulations of online bitcoin casinos in Canada?

I'm a developer but there's a few things I'm gonna need some assistance with. I'll send you a PM and we can talk on skype.

Hmm, perhaps a Facebook app that shows on your wall that you purchased X BTC for Y fiat along with the transaction ID.
This would help prevent chargebacks via humiliation of your friends and family if the payment does not go through.
Plus the added bonus of people being exposed to Bitcoin.
I made a wireframe of it last night. It's the landing page but it functions as diagram as well. http://bit.ly/1aWVoCk

I was thinking of making an alternative to LC that allows you to buy bitcoins from friends of friends. Has anyone thought of doing something like this yet? It would show you who in your extended friend network has bitcoins. Obviously, they'd have to have signed up for the app too. But that would probably make people more comfortable than buying from complete strangers on local bitcoins. What do you think? *EDIT: link to completed site www.friendswithcoins.comBenefitsFor Sellers- Instant payments using PayPal or email money transfer

MPOE-PR, I always enjoyed reading your posts even when I was just a lurker. But this one really left a bad taste in my mouth.
But why did you feel that the skin color of the characters was relevant to the story?
Imagine I catch my son stealing cookies from his sister. So to teach him about stealing and honesty I tell him a story about the Gentile boy who plays fair and never lies and the Jewish boy who is always trying to trick and steal from his friends and he winds up with everyone hating him. Why not just tell my son about a bad boy and a good boy?
What does their ethnicities/religion have to do with the story? What does that say about me? And what does it do to the minds of impressionable people that hear that story from me?

Compare the case of A, who aspires to become an Opera singer, and B, who aspires to become a rap singer. A spends five hours a day practicing, doing boring stuff such as vocalize, paying canto professors and in general going to a lot of trouble. B spends his time posting on BlackPantherForum.gov
Five years later, A is singing her first paid engagement (not quite an established Opera house, but certainly a start) and B is a juvenile delinquent. As far as A is concerned, obviously B never had a shot to begin with: didn't work his voice, didn't practice, didn't X Y Z. As far as B is concerned however, A just got a lucky break, possibly cause she's white. Or a girl. Or whatever else. B doesn't even know about the X Y Z.
While I agree with the most of your points. The motivations of your characters in the above quote is interesting. You assume that the aspiring white (your words) opera singer is hardworking and the aspiring black rapper is lazy are universal archetypes. As though these stereotypes were so obvious to your audience they could be given off hand as though you were relating to us some Aesop's fable. And your cursory "I'm not racist" PS fails to mitigate your base assumptions. You counter that Opera is superior to rap. But that wasn't the misinterpretation you should be trying to prevent. It was the fact that you assumed that your characters skin color and musical preference (which was also stereotypical) should make it obvious who was hard working and successful and who was lazy, jealous and resentful. PS. We don't for a moment even contemplate the notion that people's skin tone has any impact on their general ability or odds to succeed in whatever they may endeavor. We do however believe even mediocre Opera is far superior to any rap music ever created.

When someone sends a payment to my address, I need to find their primary address, the one they control. But it's obscured by all the output/input addresses. I can't figure out which address is the one they control. I've looked on blockchain.info but all I see are several input/output addresses.
How do I know for sure which one it is?

Would anyone be interested in a website that has daily lotteries for paintings selected by a community of art lovers
Raffle tickets at 0.01 BTC each to enter the draw for a particular piece of art curated by us from galleries across the globe
At the end of the day, as long as the threshold (the minimum value of the artwork is met), the lottery is "on" and a winner is chosen - through verifiable methods of course.
The winner can be sent instructions that are cryptographically locked with their bitcoin address (public key) through which they can verify their mailing address to be sent the painting.
If the threshold isn't met after a certain length of time, i.e. one week, the deposits are returned.
