Hello people!

I have 2 questions:
1) Do a Slack/discord exist?
2) Why do the build script ask me to use sudo?(When no other zcash fork ask for it? )
3) is there any node lsit anywhere?

What's the procedure to create a Wallet (and maybe backup it + private key) under Windows with command lines?

Thanks

1° Download it.
2° Create a zero.conf in a new zero folder in %appdata% (instruction dispensed in the readme and on the front page of the thread)
3° Run zcashd through shell
4° run zcash-cli through shell. You'll obtain all the command doing :
Code:
./zcash-cli help

P.S.: if you want the gui go take a look at the link.
For info about what each command do refer to zcash wiki .

backup instruction : https://github.com/zcash/zcash/blob/master/doc/wallet-backup.md

You can compare ZERO to all the Equihash coinz at: https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-currency-statistics/

Everything right under your nose dude...

Hello Folks!

i have few question about the wallet :

1) Do a node list exist somewhere? Tor and normal ones?
2) I don't see the chain index getting anything when i'm running zcashd? I don't have any connections and the block height don't update.(on win and linux)

About others things:
1) Is there a valid slack invite somewhere?
2) Is it a equihash algo coin? Or something else? I didn't really get that part of things.

in the real world this coin just lost 50 % in value,

but we are in disneyland and the price per coin just went up a bit.

Nothing actually happened to the supply, just one website's accounting of it.

It's only half as undervalued as one would have thought by glancing at it on that site, but that still leaves it incredibly undervalued.

I don't understand what you two are saying, could you explain this to me  ?

I'm saying his statement would only be true if the supply of coins had actually doubled. Since that did not happen, the value did not change.

What I was saying was that if you were taking the previous (false) coin supply numbers reported by coinmarketcap at face value, then it would appear that the coin went down in value. But even if that were the case, it's still very undervalued.

For example; compare the market cap of ~4M to ZCash's ~400M. Even if you think 1 HUSH is only worth, say, 1/10th what 1 ZEC is worth, then 1 HUSH is still worth 10x its current price, as opposed to the previously perceived 20x.
OK seems rational, at least far more than what i understood. Anyway i agree with you.

Cant get backup of wallet:(
Keep getting error and/or something (dir/path) missing....
Cant seem to find config file....
Any ideas?

cd .bitcoinz
pico ./bitcoinz.config

Or

cd .zclassic
pico ./zclassic.conf

Or do something like that:

echo "exportdir=/where/you/want/your/stuff" >>~/.bitcoinz/bitcoinz.conf

Anyway the best if to go to zcash wiki or komodo github oor zen or hush or zcl

Lol, the "any other" part seems to have been misunderstood. Anyway i've found the problem and solved it. Thank you.

So following the update i have a new problem, the wallet.dat saved up with backupwallet command and imported with importwallet don't show in the balance.
Is the fact that i didn't use z_exporwallet a definitiv problem? Or did i miss something?

did you put the backed-up wallet.dat in the .bitcoinz folder?

No i didn't and it solved the situation, Thanks!

./bitcoinz/src/zcashd ?

I personnaly don't seems to manage to connect to any peers and can't sync up. Is there any other nodes running? Like on tor?

See the first post:

Code:
addnode=173.212.216.105
addnode=[2604:a880:cad:d0::5e39:4001]
addnode=[2a01:4f8:c0c:3532::2]

Hello people!
I'm new to the pool!
And i have a question :

Why do sometimes my workers hashrate seems to block at 455h/s wit hnop apparent reason on the ZEC pool? Since my accumulate miner apparent hashrate is always above 710sol/s i was wondering what was happening.
And the SSL port isn't responding since a few hour.

To be precise it's what the website show me for the hasrate problem- right now it showme 0H/s by the way!

Regards!
