I have successfuly overclocked the miner to 400mhz, however the controller's firmware has a fixed hashrate so overclocking makes 0 difference.

I agree tether looks dodgy - BUT - if tether was the only reason for bitcoin buys, bitcoin would still be in the $20,000 range.

The tether ecosystem might collapse, but as long as there are real bitcoin buys in dollars, euros, korean won etc, I don't think it will affect bitcoin too much.

You will soon learn how dodgy tether is from my 20min long documentary, i have been working on it for 6 weeks now. Soon everybody will learn.

Didn't you just say 5 months? Which is it  Huh

Theres a new firmware:
PiZero_GX10_171229_V1.1.im
Just google it. Uhm...tell me findings don’t have time now Smiley
No new algos it said on russian site.

That's odd, I don't see it on their github.

This is true. Im downloading it now. 10 hours Sad But it is on github when you click the "baidu" link. i ran into an issue downloading it because i dont have a Chinese mainland number. A fix is to use a chrome extension called "baidudl" and viola bypassing the requirements. I will poke around it when its down downloading and let you know if i find anything juicy

When somebody manages to download this, please upload it somewhere else. Baidu is painfully slow.

Hey folks,

I'm testing a XVG myriad-groestl pool:

https://xvg-mg.suprnova.cc

Can someone point a Baikal and report if the diff retarget etc. is working fine ?

Thanks,

oc

PS: it's a new database format, you'll need to re-register and set up workers even if you already got a suprnova account, I'm in the progress of migrating to a new DB design.

How much are fees?
Pool fee, transaction fee, any other fee?

Pointed parts of my farm there. Lets hope you dont crash like the other xvg pools.... they disabled paying and alot of xvg are still not payed out by them.

1 % fee, tx fee will be determined after we have the first block and I know what the Network charges. No other fees.

Thanks for the great response, happy mining!

Just switched to this pool, from past experience suprnova is very reliable. I haven't had any problems with idcray, but their frontend is often down and the fees are higher.

i set the fan to 35%, its very quiet. but sometimes maybe 2times in a minute it gets up thn down. how i can fix it?

I have the same question...

As there was same problem to other person on a different thread. I will post it there:

"Use %25 fan speed on myriad groestl.
Use %50 fan speed on Quark or Qubit.

There is your mentioned problem with a fan speed if you set it, in the %30 - %40 interval."

A list with working fan speed would be cool.

20% - working
25% - working
30% - not working
50% - working

please continue if you have tested different values

whats the max operation degree in celcius for the chips?

55 degrees max temp

I found something very interesting while poking around the x10 file structures.

I found these 2 lines:

Code:
poolAdd({url:'stratum+tcp://nist5.mine.zpool.ca:3833',pass:'x11=1,quark=1,qubit=1,groestl=1,nist5=1',priority:'6',algo:'nist5',extranonce:true});
poolAdd({url:'stratum+tcp://groestl.mine.zpool.ca:5333',pass:'x11=1,quark=1,qubit=1,groestl=1,nist5=1',priority:'5',algo:'groestl',extranonce:true});

So I am guessing either the 2 new algos are nist5 and groestl, or they originally had nist5 and groestl and decided to change the algos to skein and myr-groestl.

I also found this line:
Code:
sudo mv sgminer_300MHz_fix_NoHW  /opt/scripta/bin/sgminer

So I am assuming they have their own custom sgminer with a fixed clock rate so there goes the overclocking dream.

Guess someone at Baikal didn't remove all their traces. Now I wonder how would we get nist5 and groestl back on there. LOL.

Baikal is indeed using a custom sgminer.

I attempted to decompile the sgminer, but didn't get far. However I did find this in the code:

Code:
--baikal-options    Set baikal options clock:recover temp:cutoff temp
--baikal-fan    Set baikal fan speed(percent)

I haven't tested the clock option, but I think it might just be the lower limit at which the miner reboots if the clock speed falls down.

Hi im using
stratum+tcp://quark.mine.zpool.ca:4033

thanks

Am I missing something here? Why would you mine Quark at $9.92 per day when DGB-Skein will give $24.15 per day according to whattomine?
Hello, I am mining on qubit and profit is about 2000 DGB per day on miningpoolhub. what is your profit?

I'm mining Skein on one machine, with around 2000 DGB per day.
On another machine I'm running myriad-groestl with around 1900 per day.

Skein is slightly more profitable and has the least power useage, I will switch both over to it now.

but skein has 5GH and qubit 10. how is it possible that it has more profit than qubit?

Qubit:
https://whattomine.com/coins/115-dgb-qubit?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=10000&p=390&commit=Calculate

Skein:
https://whattomine.com/coins/114-dgb-skein?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=5000&p=120&commit=Calculate

The numbers on whattomine are slightly low, but gives you a good idea.

What is the most profitable algorythm right now?

https://whattomine.com/coins/114-dgb-skein?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=5238.0&p=120.0&commit=Calculate

This suggests Skein is most profitable, is that correct?

The Baikal X10 back looks like this....

I'm a newb at this. Could someone send me a link to what PSU they'd recommend? The D3 PSU has 8 6 pin connection points... so I could use that PSU from Bitmain yes? I've also seen these connector boards that hook into a HP PSU, which could be a cheaper route.

Mainly I don't want to fry anything.  Grin

HP DPS-1200FB power supply with something like this:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Breakout-Board-10pcs-Cable-for-HP-1200w-750w-Power-Module-Mining-Ethereum/272870905226

This probably the cheapest and reliable setup.
