Hey guys!

Complete noob here, so just asking around a little
First of, i see various mining profitabilities on all the pages i look. But what are people actually getting now a days after you went live ?

What were your prices per miner ? As it is now i can get batch 2 delivered for 3900 Euro a piece, or 4600 USD a piece to Europe.
Does this seem overpriced to you guys ?

Also because i am actually looking into buying 20 of these for me and some friends, but the more i read the more confused i am. And then you have pages like altmininggear.com that claim they have batch 2 ready for 1800 Dollars a piece with PSU, free delivery. But i do worry they are a scam site. Anyone know ?

Ebay prices in europe hover between 4500 USD to 6000 USD per miner...

So hard to figure this out

On another machine I'm running myriad-groestl with around 1900 per day.

Skein is slightly more profitable and has the least power useage, I will switch both over to it now.

as i wrote a few sites in front of your post, i got this answer directly from baikal for second batch:

„Hi,

Sorry for my delay.

We haven't get any notification about delay of second batch so far.

baikal miner“


With delay they mean the reply of the mail (it took over a week).


I bought 4x pieces of the giant x10 without any waybill so far to germany.

My miners backs are exposed too.
Are yours looking used too? Mine are pretty scratched and immediately started mining at 100% fan speed for many preconfigured pools.
Is there an option for automatic fan speed? I manually set mine to 40% as running at 100% is just unnecessary noise.

Same here. Boards are exposed (which is fine with me because better air flow). It does have a thin retention bracket on the back to hold the cards in, but it doesn't look like the CG pictures on their website.

The aluminum case of the miner was definitely greasy, scuffed, and covered in fingerprints (Seriously, I couldn't even get masking tape to stick to it). The hardware inside looks brand new though. No dust on the fan blades or heatsinks. Boards are still shiny. My guess is that the manufacture of the housing assembly was rushed.

This is my first Baikal miner, but I think it's normal for miners to come preconfigured with pool info. The pools are likely leftover from testing the machines, and also generates a little income for Baikal when the noobs who don't know how to configure a pool just plug it in and walk away.
