1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PhilanthropistCoin - New Altcoin - SAVE THE WORLD on: February 15, 2018, 03:52:12 PM
"an extra 50 PhilanthropistCoin goes to a "charity" address where nonprofits/charities can request funds from."

I wonder who will have control over the wallet in which charity coins are collected, and how will he choose the right institutions or people in need ... And how will he exchange coins for Fiats, because it will probably be necessary?

Dev stated in OP he will create a voting system for the community to decide..

I'm not sure if we're all synced; has anyone else just mined a few blocks and they got erased?
I sent a test transaction to here: http://localhost:49028/address/04f72a4541275aeb4344a8b049bfe2734b49fe25c08d56918f033507b96a61f9e3c330c4fcd46d0854a712dc878b9c280abe90c788c47497e06df78b25bf60ae64

for 42 coins, is this showing for you guys as well?

not quite sure on this one xD (tried to PM but your account is too new)

edit: my guess ' 'webpack-dev-server' is not recognized as an internal or external command, '
#2: removed log to avoid clunky-ness I can post again if needed

I like the setup through localhost; however for port 49029 I'm getting 'upgrade required' and for 49030 I'm getting connection refused.
Would love to solve this with you  (also I'm getting invalid parameters when using 'X' for mining, curious about that as well)

edit: possibly could be because it's listening on the 'old' port?
Code:
listening websocket p2p port on: 49029
Listening http on port: 49028

Guang,

You were paid straight from the exchange.

TX 2eb855e58e248a80e839d31f3e9ad4e8451b7710c6971c1bedcd5e9ba825aeff

Thanks.

Do you offer any balance swaps?
Currently I've been waiting about 2+ weeks to get paid out due to your adding of new coins making the one I'm owed less profitable and therefore not mined.
I probably wouldn't have mined it if I knew that you create a negative balance aka a 'debt' that is owed to your miners.
Currently the pools debt is BTC0.01384226 to me; I do not want people to owe me money, just wanted my coins  Embarrassed

Looking forward to some good news.
Please PM the wallet address your referring too and ill take a look!

bump, pool accumulating too much debt.

13  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Quantum computers will end Cyrpto on: January 29, 2018, 11:52:05 PM
Big statement thread title haha.

Watched click on the weekend, talking about Quantum computers, they're a long long way off. I enjoy science so understand the basic theory behind quantum physics, from quantum entanglement to Schrödinger cats theory.

If the binary digits can be both 1 and 0 at the same time means that any calculation can instantaneously be worked out.

therefor when and if we ever seen Quantum computers surely they could effectively solve the entire blockchain algorithm instantly.

That's my basic understanding. So effectively crypto is not really a future currency so to speak.

Any thoughts.... I'm probably complete wrong haha

If I remember correctly IBM has a Quantum computer you can play around with online.
They want to observe what people would do with it to give them ideas!

Either way I would check it out if you're really interested!

14  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Legalization of drugs? on: January 29, 2018, 11:49:08 PM
I think the problem is not the single opinion of one country but the world and its leaders combined.
Compare to the incident where the entire Russian team was disqualified from the Olympics, it creates an 'unfair' advantage for others while some might not benefit from them so much.

Legalizing drugs would probably have some detrimental ripple effects starting with; School, Sports, and even gambling.
Before you know it we'll all be betting on the team that takes the 'purest' enhancers.

Some things should be prescribed medically but opening the cages entirely is out of the question for a while.

Hello,

No worries we will switch you over the right currency.

Thanks.

Thank you beautiful kind sir.
I will look over my post and try to make it seem nicer so other people don't get a bad idea.
Hope you understand :p
No problem.  It was our fault on the glitch.  Thank you for updating your post to show we helped you out!  Smiley

All coins have been allocated to your account.

Very much love & my pleasure!
Any idea what auto-payout threshold is for this coin? Or would it just go by the  22:57 PST ?

Thanks again

edit:
Also a friendly suggestion you might get more business if you increase difficulty slots or include a variable.
Currently unable to rent on nicehash and throw it your way cause of low diff.  Grin

Thank You!

I set my password to BRG; Mined 40,000 coins
Your pool right now says 'exchanged'

If this is true; going by current market prices the pool has given me 0.0024 bitcoin.. In exchange for the coins. (which I wanted to keep)

While the actual going price for the coin is;

Please tell me dev where the other BTC0.01 is going.
And why weren't the coins instead sent to me like my password instructed.

Thank you for fixing my issue dev <3
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New mining pool for HTML5 coin ... v1 on: January 27, 2018, 03:43:59 AM
I just noticed that a new pool is up for mining HTML5 coin, still in 1 for 1 swap for HTMLCOIN for those that are interested. I wonder, where will HTML5 go in 2018?

HTML5 Coin Pool

http://192.223.26.165/

Pool does not work.
Says 0 workers and I've had 30 workers on it for 20 minutes all getting good shares.
Hopefully this is a front-end issue and my hashrate/shares aren't just 'disappearing'
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SAND] BeachCoin! A digital currency for everyone. *X11 PoW* on: July 23, 2017, 05:46:50 AM
Hi, I love the coin.  Been trading it for two weeks now.  Question:  I have the wallet and encyrpted it but I don't know how to get it to mine.  I did dl the right one.  Do I need coins in it first?

A little disappointed in the wallet.  Why is there no clear way to unlock it once I've encyrpted it?

I reached out to the dev through the website in hopes we can possibly get some nodes setup so you'd be able to get a .conf file with proper nodes.
 Cheesy Hopefully he gets it!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 'Smarter' Pools? on: July 22, 2017, 02:54:45 AM
So I've been accumulating my experience with altcoins and the question came to me;
If someone were to perform a %51 attack (lets just say out of spite ignoring other possibilities) causing the difficulty to drive up to an unbearable amount.
Would it be any benefit for the coin to be pooled only on a source like MPOS ?(https://github.com/MPOS/php-mpos)
This way there would be some sort of record on hand as to what kind of speeds were achieved and what it's going to take to bring the difficulty back down.
(This would be assuming the 'attack' would also have to happen on one of the pools)

I've seen some new coins come out and maybe some eager new guy gets a little excited and throws 60gh/s (scrypt for example) on the pool and then just leaves.

With this situation do you guys see it more beneficial to try to only keep pools that provide this kind of data reading capability?
I could probably go into more depth about my questions and concerns but I am 'new' when it comes to the back end and would like to learn from anything Cheesy
Look forward to your guys response!

Edit:
In addition was also curious to suggestions to help make things 'smarter' in terms of pools; if any exist.
