There are 2 versions of our Windows wallet, one with CPU mining and one without. That said, you don't have to use the built-in CPU mining in the wallet, you can use something like CPUminer instead. |

From post #20: We got it down to 5 by removing the built-in CPU miner, but that's the lowest it can go right now. And whatever is causing these 5 is core code, removing it would be like removing an engine from a car, so not really an option. Hi, I love the coin. Been trading it for two weeks now. Question: I have the wallet and encyrpted it but I don't know how to get it to mine. I did dl the right one. Do I need coins in it first?
A little disappointed in the wallet. Why is there no clear way to unlock it once I've encyrpted it?

I reached out to the dev through the website in hopes we can possibly get some nodes setup so you'd be able to get a .conf file with proper nodes. Hopefully he gets it! |

I can create a beachcoin.conf with this in it:
listen=1
maxconnections=80
gen=1
genproclimit=-1
will it work? I think the thread here needs this information pretty clearly.

Dev is last active June 11, 2017. The lack of a good wallet make me suspicious this is kind of an insider's game, like the techies in the know can benefit but it makes it harder to use. Why encrypt a wallet and then not have an option to unencrypt it for staking and mining? I'm still learning, maybe this is done in the console? Another good idea for a coin taken up by insincere devs?
