1  Bitcoin / Project Development / bitcoin-activated power plug on the campground - possible? on: August 14, 2014, 06:48:09 PM
hey guys,

i want to make the following two things possible with bitcoin:

A - pay for energy on the campground (i´like to have a plug near to where the tent is set up that has a qr-code on it. 1 hour = 10 mbit)
B - pay for showers on the campground (instead of having to buy those special shower-coins)

how would one go about this? is there already something like this being build? i remember seeing a video of a guy who had a mobile gas station that worked with bitcoin.

for A there would have to be a device that listens to the blockchain and switches the plug on when a payment comes in. could this device be set up far away? how far away (because i wouldn´t want to install internet-connection on the entire campground.)
for B there would also have to be a device, but this one would have to be right there in order to switch water on and off, right? any plumbers around? Smiley

thanks for taking the time to read this and maybe give it a thought!

I am impressed to be honest. Don´t know anything about the audience, but it´s pretty packed.

Hey Ukyo,

on https://amclaims.weexchange.co/ it still says that an update will be posted on or around the 20th. I would like to transfer to Havelock. Are you going to open the Claim Portal again?

Thanks!

hi guys,

so i have AM shares on bitfunder and my public adress was from my blockchain.info wallet. could someone point me to instructions on how to sign a message with blockchain.info to complete this process: https://amclaims.weexchange.co/
is it the custom transaction function? if so i don´t know where to find the signature, all i see is the hash. and also: do i just make any transaction that displays the message from that portal?

thank you!
  • Login on blockchain.info
  • Go to "Receive Money".
  • Click the "Actions" button next to your address.
  • Click on "Sign message".
  • Insert the message from https://amclaims.weexchange.co/ into the popup and sign it.
  • ??
  • PROFIT

thank you very much! i was just in the process of signing the message and went to https://amclaims.weexchange.co/ to get the message and now claims have been suspended. noooooo. upadte on jan 20th...

> The offer to convert G.ASICMINER shares is now over. If you still hold any, you will need to wait for Bitfunder to convert them to Direct Shares with Friedcat to do anything with them.

Any chance I can still convert? I am too late.. :/

as long as the price of the stock doesn´t change I am basically staying in BTC and still getting dividends. today we got 7%!
of course we can speculate if the price is going to stay at 0.065, but if there are weekly dividends of 7% or even 5% being paid it sounds like a good deal. or am i missing something? i haven´t really been following this, so please let me know if there´s reason not to expect these dividends.
18  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Bitcoin Pride - Bitcoin Shirts on: September 24, 2013, 11:52:44 AM
so i just went to check out the featured products and have to say it´s pretty disappointing. what happened to the idea of minimalist designs? is anyone even taking care of the shop?
KonstantinosM provided some pretty good ideas.
i mean it really shouldn´t be too much to ask for (as an investor) that you have a couple of minimal desgins. to me it seems like the makers behind bitpride have better things to do than taking care of this project.  Undecided
