Dude this 3rd period is MADDDDDDDDDDDDD cheap.

Does that suggest that the next period will be even cheaper though? Interest already waning?

I don't know. I have to make a decision, buy more since it's cheap or bail... so hard, made good money.

EOS to the mooooooooooon
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Claiming EOS with Metamask on: July 02, 2017, 08:01:45 PM

3) Go on https://www.eos.io/distribution/ and redeem the EOS. Will the EOS be in my Metamask wallet?
4) I can now send my EOS on exchanges and sell them? If I do sell the EOS before the last ICO (2018) I am good (dont need public key)? What is confusing me is the public key thing.

3) After claiming my EOS using MetaMask, I had to click the "Tokens" tab and click the "+" sign and add the EOS token info in order for my EOS to appear in my wallet.

Token Address: 0x86fa049857e0209aa7d9e616f7eb3b3b78ecfdb0
Decimals: 18
Symbol: EOS
Name: EOS
You can find the above info by scrolling down here... https://eos.io/instructions

4) Yes and Yes.  With the Public Key registration(as I understand it) you are reserving a wallet/address in the EOS blockchain. When the time comes, your Ethereum wallet will be your ticket to your "reserved seat"/wallet/address. Write down/backup your EOS registered public and private key as well as your ethereum wallet and password.

Thank you for this info! Is there any official forum for this coin? So hard to find information about it.
Also is the Metamask safe? I know hardwallets are the best but no hardwallet currently support's EOS.

anyone?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Claiming EOS with Metamask on: July 02, 2017, 03:12:49 AM
Are these steps correct?
1) Send ETH to the adress that was given to me using Metamask.
2) Wait for ICO period to end.

Should I consider 1060s?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Mining RIG UPGRADE !? on: June 22, 2017, 12:03:23 AM
I currently have this :
Quote
CPU: Intel - Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock - H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Samsung - 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
Storage: Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: MSI - Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card
Power Supply: EVGA - 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

Currently mining ETH @ 31 MH/S and I know that ETH won't be minable forever, but I trust this coin long term and I want to mine more.
I know my MOBO can handle 6 gpus (true?) and I think I can get an other GPU wiht my current PSU.

How can I upgrade my current build so I can mine more altcoins? What GPU/GPUs should I get and should I change my PSU if I take your advice?
I was thinking to throw about 2000$ CAD (will do more if this has potential) = 1500 USD (yes poor us canadians, i know)

Thx

What do you mean with point #2?

Can I damage the card by lowering the volt like that?

Core 1100 (overclock) memory 1250 (downclock).

Afterburner - properties - fan, set a custom curve that works for you.

Afterburner lets you downvolt only -100mV, trixx does -200mV.

For a test run, set clocks to 1100/1250, volts to -100mV and fan to 100%. No, you cannot damage the card.

Smiley

Dude you are a genius (look at pic)! Any way to be more efficient? Omg i might consider buying more damn... Does this mean I can mine 24/7 now?

Are the fans actually spinning? On the GPU. Are they spinning fast?

No you can't damage GPU by undervolt, worse case is you freeze your system.

Yea they are. I mean Idk if theres a program that will let me control the speed of the fans (not the GPUs) but they are spining. Also when I am mining I can hear the fans (louder than usual).

I guess i'll try lowering the voltage, that's what got me from 94 to 88C

- what is your environment temperature ?
- are the fans in the front intake fans (blowing fresh air IN the case) ?
- is the fan in the back an outtake fan (taking hot air out of the case) ?

I got a R9 390 in a gaming machine which never got over 79° C in mining-mode at 30° C environment (not mining with this any more due to high power costs).

 Smiley

Temp in room is 25 C atm
Yes the way they are setup, they are intakes and the fan in the back is an outtake. Amazing that you had 79C. I can't wait to figure out what the problem is....

Show us the inside of your computer case

There you go.
3 fans

1) better case cooling

2) 1100/1250

3) trixx to downvolt more than -100mV

Any suggestions? Going at 88C seems high. Is it?

How can I do all that? Any link to help me ?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / R9 390 8GB Video Card on: June 19, 2017, 11:22:46 PM
This is my setup :
CPU: Intel - Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: ASRock - H97 Anniversary ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Video Card: MSI - Radeon R9 390 8GB Video Card
Power Supply: EVGA - 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply

My video card is going at 94 C which is kinda high. How can I lower the temp? I tried afterburner but it doesn’t seem to work. How can I lower it and start mining for many hours a day?
