Quote
yes I was watching both rounds first one was around $1 with 200M tokens distributed, second $6 with only 2M tokens so the weighted average price for token sold is still $1.05 so the token holders from round 1 could dump the price to $2 and still be in 2x profit, bear in mind this...

Wait...so http://eosscan.io/ says that the current price is $0.65. Does that mean that contributors now would get it cheaper than the first round?

Decentalized OS is a really big deal and I'm absolutely sure that there are a lot of challenges that must be overcome to get high performance, sustainability and infinitely scalable system
It would be better developed as a academical project, not as startup
that's why I have my doubts, it's not about prices, it's about technical stuff

I'm a software engineer and I can recall a lot of projects where initially brilliant ideas has been later broken by hardware and other limitations

bingo.
nice post.

I am looking for a new bounty campaign!

Dude this 3rd period is MADDDDDDDDDDDDD cheap.

Does that suggest that the next period will be even cheaper though? Interest already waning?

I don't know. I have to make a decision, buy more since it's cheap or bail... so hard, made good money.

Let me ask you this when viewing the rounds summary page (sales summary) I see people have put eth into rounds other than the current. IE we are on round #3 w/ 5,155 eth in roughly. I see round #4 which hasn't even happened has 134 eth total contrib how can you put ether into a round other than current?

Up 75% today, it seems that pigs are happily rushing to the slaughterhouse...

indeed.

Bancor was a good example what might happen after ICO.
But here we have some special marketing wich maybe will do the trick    Wink

I just don't get it, so many good projects, fair, decentralized, why the hell would you drop this for any of these shitcoins?

If you are talking abt EOS I didnt follow nor invested in it.I have enouph coins in my portfolio and now isnt the best time to do any moves   Cool

If I cannot get the EOS token distrubution to load to buy more tokens.  I have MetaMask and bought in the first round.  If I send in MetaMask to the Contract 0xd0a6e6c54dbc68db5db3a091b171a77407ff7ccf (EOSCrowdsale) from MetaMask in ETH will it acknowlege and put in the distrubution?

Oh the first round they were really expensive on this round cheap. It's only natural that the ICO and exchanges price become more and more similar once people get a hang of what's happening. But it seems the price goes up on the exchange during the window and moves near the last 10 hours to match the ICO price.

If you look at the outgoing transactions from the EOS crowdsale there are 180k ETH so far sent to wallets, majority of which are then sent to Bitfinex. Can't tell whether they're selling ETH or buying EOS.
https://etherscan.io/address/0x9937dbb2128b55c44d8af7bf36fd76796a814cf4#internaltx

Would have thought they were more likely to be cashing in $45million worth of ETH than bothering trying to support their own coin.

Maybe they had an agreement with Bitfinex to sell the ETH on their exchange if they listed EOS, was listed there as soon as the first distribution ended.

You say 3rd round is mad cheap?
Are you OK with your calculations? Or what are you comparing to?
Round 2 was more expensive, yes.
But try to compare to round 1. Grin
