1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Blockchain Developer For Decentralized Video Platform on: October 23, 2017, 02:17:31 AM
I am seeking a blockchain developer to work on a decentralized video platform. There are an array of needed skills, not all of which I assume any one person will have.

The project in full will be to create in rough terms a STEEM for video. (Rewarding content creators with tokens based off of the popularity of their videos)

I imagine this will be a full time project, although, amenable for people with needed skills to apply as well.

My fellow investors and I are extremely eager to get started --- happy to discuss more details in direct messages.

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / High Risk/High Reward Long Term Holds (100x Speculation Picks) on: June 23, 2017, 09:35:02 AM
The plurality of the posts on this sub-forum are about coins which have already pumped 30x. Responses are generally meaningless "What coin should I invest in for 100x return in 5 minutes?" "Via!"

After a few weeks of observing this forum, articles, etc. my perception is: The current market is way too hot, whale driven, peppered with idiots that are going to get skinned alive when/if this Asian money dumps. My outlook is to invest month over month, dollar cost averaging, over the foreseeable future. If there is a bubble, won't matter too much, if there isn't, such is life.

Curious to know:
Coins with lower market caps which you believe have potential over the longer term (months/1-2 years... Not days/weeks).
What are the actual reasons that you like this coin.

If there is anyone else out there who is looking to diligently research their picks, to invest in from a value perspective, as oppose to riding a market pattern(gambling), feel free to private message me so we can share thoughts on an ongoing basis.

My current favorites are: Nothing(yet)! I want to dig into the whitepapers, research the devs, the community, ETC.

Edit: Here are some coins that I am looking to RESEARCH based off my correspondence with members, my limited experience thus far...
1. LTC should be trading at 1:10 on BTC (undervalued)
2. I am looking to -research- the following coins: Verge, Nexus, Shift, Bitbay, Ubiq, Waves, and POSW --- Moderate interest in STEEM, VIA, SIA.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Epic Monster Moon on: June 23, 2017, 05:47:41 AM
Some accounts on this thread are used most exclusively to encourage other members to hold Sia. Simultaneously, the members who aren't shill accounts are talking about dumping the stock pending tomorrows news. This is troubling...

Here are the questions which people are positing and have yet gone unanswered:
-Is Sia worth $500M? If so, why.
-The accounts on this thread claiming to "HODL" Sia have posited a $.50c/Sia price. No one has yet explained why Sia should be worth $25B, while Dropbox is speculated to have an actual value of $4B+/- with some thinking it's $10B.
-- Some actual underlying math would be highly helpful in this thread: ex: here is a projection of the necessary storage for outgoing years in the Sia target market, if Sia captures x% market share then $x/sia is justified.

The "more" technical analysis of Sia in the previous 2 pages has been scathing.
>What is the valuation of the current Sia holdings, + the cost of replicating the technology? I would imagine an extremely nominal amount compared to the market cap.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding the fundamentals?

Dropbox is worth $10B -- Sia market cap is $600M

The valuation speculation here assumes that Sia is more valuable than Dropbox? Why?

Is there a link to a source to confirm that there is an impending announcement from Siacoin?

When Siacoin makes a news announcement, where does it get posted, on their site as a press release?

Some people have been speculating in this thread that Sia could reach $.50 -- at the time this post originated Sia was around $.0005 since then until present there has been a 43,900% increase... In order for Sia to reach .50c that would require a $25B market cap.

Since the tokens which are currently being speculated on are the medium through which the network is actually utilized, it seems as if the token achieving too high of a price would actually hurt the networks function. Since storage is such a cheap function, how is anyone justifying the token growing exponentially at this point? Can anyone provide underlying math? That would be appreciated.
