Hi
The pools in question now are: zergpool.com and bsod.pw. They stole from me 4 blocks each one
a.Those are crapcoin aka altcoin pools. This area is for Bitcoin only so expect the posts to be moved to the altcoin areas where they belong.

b. Those are crapcoin pools - as such, not surprised they are ran by possible scammers...

c. You should open a topic about them in the Scam accusations area...

Sorry, but i was just answering to your question.
And I think some of these "crapcoin pools" contribute to the democratisation of small rig mining! !!!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Hacked block rewards? on: November 11, 2021, 07:51:24 AM

No.
And if you have any doubts about the pool and who is running it - move to different pool...
Any particular reason you have not named the suspect pool?
edit: is it solomining.io?

Well, the pool owner can write whatever they want on the status page, but if your miner did not reboot after it found the block, it should show the corresponding share for that block using that you can see if that block was actually accepted by the network, but really, you shouldn't be mining to a pool you have the slightest doubt about its owner.

Hello
Thank you for the advice. Cat scalded from cold water is afraid.

Hello. It is possible that a bandit pool owner hacker is turning my found blocks
into orphan blocks and stealing  my rewards?

Hello everybody
Do you know what lastshare value means on the
pool user status?

its almost like a timestamp of your last share that was accepted by the pool basically

nothing important

only number important on solo pool is "best share"

Ok. Thanks for quick response Smiley

Hi
I think solo.ckpool.org user statistics are not working

Is the forrestvnet not well configured
or is just a big blow of bad luck?

as i know is it not as efficient as Jtoomim, and so less hash power behind.
Could be!
But jtoomimnet doesn't have a cool stats frontpage like p2pool.org has!
And i like to be well informed !
And also i don't know if jtoomimnet has a block finding reward like p2pool.org has!

I think this should be a prioritary topic !
Or you should provide a support Forum email !

waiting for a password reset email that never arrives !

I've pushed two changes to https://github.com/jtoomim/p2pool/commits/1mb_segwit:

1. Allow mining with clients that do not support all locked-in or active forks (e.g. Bitcoin Core which does not support segwit2x) if p2pool is run with the --allow-obsolete-bitcoind command-line option.
2. Switch back to using time.time() in order to hopefully fix Xantus's "exceptions.OverflowError: mktime argument out of range" error on Windows

If a miner don't uses Bitcoin Core client to set up his p2pool node, witch client should he use and where to download it?

All this indicisions around p2pool bother me.
What blockshain?
What bitcoin client?

If you don't know what a blockchain and a Bitcoin client is, then I suggest you take a good, long, hard look at whether you ought to be mining in the first place.

Who started this p2pool mess doesn't have time to
finish it!

And what have you done for P2Pool so far, besides running your mouth? forrestv, veqtrus, and jtoomim have done more for P2Pool than the rest of us combined, and on a voluntary basis too. Please show some respect.

And we are loosing time because the next bitcoin halving is around the corner and p2pool is not full throtle yet...

The next reward halving is projected to be on May 17, 2020. That's 3 years from now. Not exactly what most of us here would call "around the corner."

frodocooper  lick boots number one WINNER
A lot of people stopped mining here a long time ago because there is no non-linux OS support.
Now people can not express their opinion and shake things up a bit because frodocooper do not let.
Who receives percentage for running the p2pool code (forrestv) is not called voluntary.
Show you some respect for a member with many posts helping newbies with his problems in this forum.

The blocker on merging is still testing with altcoins. If someone can set up a node for a non-litecoin alt using the 1mb_hardforked or lowmem branches and mine to it for a while, and maybe verify that it forks cleanly to v17 and then v32 shares, that would speed things up a lot.
You are joking, right?
Bitcoin is the mother of all coins!

Let's try to make an analogy.
What's the difference betwen p2pool1,p2pool2,p2pool+ltc+segwit and bittorrent, utorrent or bitlord?
Is that you can change the torrent client and you don't loose your file. But you can't change p2pool chain without loosing
your work.
So don't play with miners work and time.
Pool operators should be interventive people, open to new ideias and forks and not open to caos.
Part of running a p2pool node is choosing your bitcoin node software, optimizing your node, and signaling your support for different BIPs when your node finds a block. When there is more than one p2pool sharechain, you also get to choose which one your node joins. If you are not running a node, you do not get a vote. If you do not like it, go to a regular pool. Quit trolling.
ATTENTION:no trolling intention,only helping.
About your answer although you are not the OP.
What's the point of runinng a node if you are afraid of mining on it?
Take a good look, there's a lot of empty nodes at this moment!
