Yes, they work. I have a tray of these things getting no use and collecting dust on a shelf.

If you're in the CONUS, pm me your address and I'll send you a couple sticks. If you need more than that or live outside the U.S. let me know in PM.
2  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] 1333 mhz server ram on: May 22, 2018, 02:31:49 PM
If you're still looking I have a tray of these:

They are 8gb 1333 ECC sticks. Not 4gb but you can check the part number (these are HP server replacement parts) and see if they'll work for you. I've run them in a couple intel 1366 dual proc supermicro boards in the past and they worked flawlessly.

Send me a message if interested.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon GC no longer available through Gyft - Alternatives? on: May 08, 2018, 04:55:40 PM
I've done a few successful swaps for Amazon GC in the last couple of weeks, prior to yesterday that is..

i tested the amazon.com card thing inside the bitpay/copay wallet yesterday. it worked perfectly and was near instant. i wouldn't bother messing around with anything else myself.

Thank you for this reply! It worked perfectly just now.
4  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Amazon GC no longer available through Gyft - Alternatives? on: May 08, 2018, 02:36:38 PM
Card swap @ egifter is not possible at the moment. I tried yesterday and did not see the option anywhere.. sent an email and received the following response:

Hi *,

Thanks for reaching out.

My team has informed me that the swap feature is not currently available. Unfortunately, at the moment, I do not have an ETA on timing.

We appreciate your patronage and the opportunity to serve you -- and we're sorry for the inconvenience!

Best regards,

*

5  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: January 24, 2018, 07:07:43 PM
Ticket submitted November 29........

After all this time I am simply asking Bittrex to close my account and let me withdraw my coins. I have absolutely NO DESIRE to trade on this exchange ever again.

I submitted a complaint to the BBB last week, not that I think it will move things along any better but it can't hurt.

*Edit*

Any lawyer on here that would be willing to help me get my coins back I'd be happy to pay in LTC. I've never had cause to use a lawyer before so I don't know % of funds recovered needed for fee but I'm more than willing to discuss it with someone qualified. Send PM.

Well Bittrex answered my ticket, and promptly restored my account.  Once you get a reply from support, you get your problem solved.  Its like the same thing with poloniex back a few months.  growing pains.

Sorry, growing pains in no way excuses the shitty way bittrex has gone about these withdrawal rule changes and account lockouts. Over 1 month now and I've still not gotten a reply to my account closure request and coin return.
9  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: January 01, 2018, 06:09:29 PM
Poloniex recently announced they will be taking action against unverified legacy accounts in a similar way to what Bittrex did.  The big difference being though that it's clearly outlined what will happen WAY ahead of time with plenty of notice for people to withdraw their coins if they wish.  And even after it takes effect people will still be able to remove their coins, just not trade them.

Unlike Bittrex which is a thieving piece of shit exchange that should have legal action taken against them soon.

Could not agree more.

Still no response to my ticket, 1 month...

What number of your ticket?

I haven't visited greedy Poloniex since their failed Stellar distribution.

I can see Bittrex answering and asking ticket numbers in their Twitter. Give it a try. It might work.

Tried that but I don't really use twitter so it's a new account with literally 2 tweets, both to trex asking them to take a look at my ticket. No response. No surprise.

I posted about this previously but I've been using and trading at trex quite a lot since it's inception (no withdraw limit, etc..) and found my account reset to 'new' like so many others. I went through the bullshit basic verification only to of course fail same as everyone else... I refuse to go with the enhanced verification because I simply do not trust this exchange any longer. They have my name and address, should be more than enough to release my coins.

I finally asked them to just close my account and return my coins. I've not gotten a single reply since.

Polo is going about this the right way and although I no longer use that exchange I do respect them for giving people ample time to withdraw their money should they not wish to provide full account verification. That is the way Bittrex should have done it, that is the way it is done when a company respects and honors it's clients. Of course Bittrex didn't, and they don't. imho

Submitted Nov. 29

Not a word since receiving my first two bot responses. After so long I've asked for them to just close out my account and release my BTC, still nothing done.

As a bonus, you can't get into the slack channel unless you're enhanced verified. hahahaha!! :/

Unfreakinbelievable
12  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: December 06, 2017, 05:57:57 PM
If this was all legitimate Bittrex would at the very least allow anyone who wishes it to withdraw their coins. They could simply lock those that fail verification from trading, no need to block withdrawals.

They are withholding OUR coins and keeping them in trex wallets for a reason. That reason is anybody's guess..

Let me withdraw my coins without having to hand over my ID  & face photo (FFS.. that is ridiculous) to an anonymous service and I'll stay far, far away from your scammy exchange.

-edit
Genuine question - is there anyone who tried to do the Basic Verification and actually succeeded?  I got the "no public record match" and it seems a lot of other people did too... just wonder whether anyone actually made it through that stage.

I've asked that question a couple of times and haven't seen a single person claim to have passed Basic verification.
13  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: December 02, 2017, 07:21:28 PM

Wow, now they are closing down their sub Reddit to shutup their loyal customers. Really that's your solution Bittrex ? Guys you really have
to learn how to treat loyal cusomers #CustomerRelationship

They tried, reddit said NOPE!

At least some good news here! Good move by Reddit. They know how to treat loyal users.
It seems Bittrex doesn't like critical questions and banning people because they want
their funds back. Wow, Bittrex turned into a dictatorship. What's next ?

Out of curiosity, has anyone outside of the U.S been able to successfully verify with only the Basic Verification?

Again, that is NOT possible!!! People OUTSIDE US are forced to do enhanced verification. It's insane.
Even if you only have 0.5 BTC and want to withdraw you are forced to do the enhanced verification
BASIC ONLY is working for US customers ( based on local register check).  And you can't withdraw
any altcoin, too. Will be very brutal when they start to delist more coins and you can't withdraw!!  Angry Huh

I am in the US and they are treating me the same way, so ---> there is something else going on here.  I am pretty sure that they are doing an analysis of the blockchains to see what addresses interacted with what other address to build some sort of a database of user profiles.

I'm also from the U.S. and Basic verification failed. In fact i still have not seen a single person claim to have passed this basic verification facade.
14  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] A few hosted Bitmain D3 or other high(er) power X11 machines on: November 29, 2017, 11:44:58 PM
A long shot but I'm looking for a few X11 machines that are already hosted and happily hashing away. (cryptoboreas would be perfect)

If anyone has cashed out and is ready to offload a few rigs let me know what you have, where they are hosted, hosting fees, and how much you are looking to get for them. I do not want older machines, only looking for new gen stuff.

PM is probably best but a reply in this thread will work as well. Forum trusted escrow or no go.

Thanks!
15  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bittrex is a scam website - AVOID!- WITH PROOF!! on: November 29, 2017, 02:38:33 AM
The problem with this verification stuff is that the BASIC verify does not work, at least I've not seen a single person report being able to withdraw after submitting Basic information. I submitted mine a month back and the 'system' returned a msg about not being able to find me or some garbage. I've lived in the same house and have had the same phone number for a long time, I know damn well the info was correct. The only way to get your money back, as of right now at least, is to go through their full photo w/ ID process.

They should have allowed people who already had funds on the site a period of time to withdraw their coins before implementing these new rules.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Turn $10,000 into 1 Million on: November 29, 2017, 02:27:13 AM
This is awesome. Been following your thread since you started it HR and glad to see you've gotten you account back. I borrowed one of your picks back in May that I'd never really paid attention to before, thank you.

Best of luck achieving the $1 million.
17  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: November 27, 2017, 05:06:34 PM
BASIC verification fails immediately for everyone as far as I can tell from this thread. So far no one has come forward and stated their account was re-opened to withdrawals after submitting this bs basic verification info.

[tinfoilhat]

It's almost as if they are working with someone who wishes to have photos and ID's of everyone trading crypto on bittrex.

[/tinfoilhat]

it is really horrible to provide such thing. i thought about it and decided to do it because i want to be able to take me coins out.

Personally I don't trust this site enough to have them holding ALL my personal details. If they're not going to process any of the Basic accounts then why go through the fiasco of asking for that information in the first place? Why not post an announcement a couple of weeks prior to these changes and allow anyone who doesn't wish to hand over peronal info to an anonymous company the time to withdraw their funds and move on? It's theft, imo.

Seems not many remember what brought about the invention of Bitcoin in the first place.

I'm curious, is there anyone in this thread from the U.S. who has gotten BASIC verification processed and is now able to withdraw?

I mean Basic verification AFTER all these new rules were put in place. If now verified, did you have to tweet in order to get your ticket processed or was there some other trick?
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: November 25, 2017, 04:59:39 PM
Yup, Bittrex have double the minimum trade amount, not a good sign. Time to jump ship like the rest of the rats and find a different vessel to infect.
Here are some of there other "improvement"..

(1) Effective today, Bittrex will be removing orders that are older than 28 days.
(2) Within the next 2 weeks, the minimum allowable trade value for orders will go from 50,000 Satoshi to 100,000 Satoshi.
(3) Within the next 2 weeks we will be instituting minimum tick sizes ...  The target is to have minimum trade sizes that are near 0.1% of the current price. The current minimum tick size is 1 Satoshi.

https://support.bittrex.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003004171
Thanks for posting this!  It just highlights how they have really dropped the ball in communicating about changing withdrawal limits to zero.  If Bittrex wants to make it harder to trade there, fine, whatever, it's their exchange, but let me withdraw my coins and go in peace!

This!

I don't care what these guys want to do with limited trading or trying to combat market manipulation... I find that very notion coming from trex to be damned funny in itself but whatever... just give me back MY effing coins and I will gladly stay far away from this exchange.

Not going to hold my breath.
