Poloniex recently announced they will be taking action against unverified legacy accounts in a similar way to what Bittrex did.  The big difference being though that it's clearly outlined what will happen WAY ahead of time with plenty of notice for people to withdraw their coins if they wish.  And even after it takes effect people will still be able to remove their coins, just not trade them.

Unlike Bittrex which is a thieving piece of shit exchange that should have legal action taken against them soon.

I think this is of little comfort to those Poloniex customers who have there coins stuck in transit for weeks or even months. One good deed does not wipe out all there bad deeds.
No one said it did, my post was soley about how to handle upcoming changes and how Polo did it correctly while Bittrex did it about as bad as an organization can.

Anyone who is still doing business with Bittrex, just because they haven't screwed you over yet doesn't mean they won't in the future.  If they're capable of the type of actions they recently took then they're capable of anything.

Poloniex.com made the right decision by warning everyone upfront that they will change LEGACY account policys.
Trex on the other hand completely fucked up "hardcore style" and I am wondering when they will finally
come out from hiding and make the right move. I am okay to leave them and maybe come back later
but first give me my money back! They think they have all rights but that's not the case, especially not in US.
You can't just freeze accounts without having proof of illegal activities. What they did was to freeze ALL
LEGACY accounts and force them to do enhanced verification. Because they feared if they gave loyal
LEGACY users a heads up they would leave with all their coins. This would have impacted volume
and liquidity of Trex, so some super duper smartass from TREX thought : Ohhh I am GENIUS, thats what we
gone do: We will freeze all LEGACY accounts and force them to do verification. We will not lose
volume and and comply to KYC regulations. Everybody happy, expect yeah right the customers   Cry End of story...

This is interesting. Base on exchange owners feedback, surprisingly Bittrex has more negative feedback than Poloniex. Shocked

Busoni (Poloniex)

Bittrex becoming too greedy than Poloniex. From trusted to busted.

Well Bittrex answered my ticket, and promptly restored my account.  Once you get a reply from support, you get your problem solved.  Its like the same thing with poloniex back a few months.  growing pains.

Do you mean the support response was in recent days? The twitter handle posted that the staff are on holiday, they are left with few staff. My open ticket is more than 3 weeks now and have added message probably to alert that the message had not been responded to.

Sorry, growing pains in no way excuses the shitty way bittrex has gone about these withdrawal rule changes and account lockouts. Over 1 month now and I've still not gotten a reply to my account closure request and coin return.

The problem is sense here is the inability of BITTREX to give an update or explaination as to the reasons behind their action. We are talking about money here.
People's money, people's life and business just shou off without any reason?
Not fair enough.

They are not allowing users to create orders while not saying "Wallet Offline."  They must have a pool of insiders they are catering to.  Very unfair and they better stop this.   I'm sure it must be illegal.  They select which coin they are doing it with.

Take weeks but finally got approved recently. It felt good like I will use them forever in my life and it felt like its safe to store my coins there in bittrex. I'm just not sure whether their system can't be hacked by certain penetration experts with blackhats.

Have you tried send them DMs through Twitter or posting your issue in Twitter and tagging them? Try it, I have seen positive feed backs about their issue being raised in twitter and the admin/staff of Bittrex worked on the problem. Here is the Twitter account of the known founder and another guy from Bittrex

 Shocked

I just submitted my ID, I have around 0.02BTC worth of TIME there
What I'm in trouble with is, how long am I able to withdraw a token that's been delisted?

Since, if the verification takes a month as it did with some of the people here
I might get fucked  Cry

Yes it doesn't look good, some have waited months to get verified, and bittrex's market removal policy only allows two weeks to withdraw your coins after a market gets removed.

This is fucking ridiculous..

They must be doing this on purpose
Why the hell are verifications taking 30+ days if they never took this long before?

So many tokens got delisted and so many people won't be able to withdraw them o.o
